- They want to hear that you have what it takes to come into the role and make an immediate impact!
WHAT TO INCLUDE IN YOUR ANSWER TO THE DIFFICULT INTERVIEW QUESTION “How Is Your Previous EXPERIENCE Relevant To This ROLE?”
#1 - Tell the interviewer your EXPERIENCE is a match for the job description!
- If the interviewer is aware that you have studied the job description, it tells them you are serious about the role, and you have taken steps to prepare for the position.
#2 - Tell them your experience has made you “commercially-aware.”
- Being commercially-aware means that you understand how a business is run.
#3 - Tell the interviewer your experience includes the following 4 areas:
- Effective communication;
- Teamworking;
- Problem-solving;
- Working under pressure.
#4 - Tell the interviewer your experience means they won’t have to spend time supervising you! Why are you a good fit for this job?
“My experience means I can be left alone to do everything you need me to do, on time, and to the right standard.”

Already heard back this afternoon. I got 2nd interview on Thursday on Teams with the Director. I believe they were very happy to see my video recording interview done by the agency. Now the company wants to talk to me further. I am stuck in a rut where I am and need a change. Though I was nervous I managed to present myself well I am told. Your interview answers worked out well. Hi sir! I really appreciate your tips and tricks how to answer interviews but sometimes it gives trouble. You know what I mean? I mean sometimes your was exaggerated for example from your video ( I'm a good problem solving then the interviewer gives to the applicant a really hard problem that they need to solve. I hope you notice this sir. Here in the Philippines our interviews are so very high standard as much as possible we don't say anything exaggeration words because they will ask the applicants.
