I love this video! It took me right back to my first flight 6 years ago... And as Sören said, it is perfect for instructional purposes as it clearly displayes what goes on with you and your wing at flight. Also the fact that it is a reminder of how those first daring steps in to this sport really feels. Good luck in the future!
The look on your face at launch point was priceless!!! Unless someone has taken that walk-jog-run off that ramp, they have no idea how intimidating it can be!!!
Awesome first flight off The Mountain! I earned my H-2 rating three weeks ago on the training hills of LMFP and was cleared for the mountain with only 5 mornings of hill training (the instructor said he was trying to hold me back some and would only pass me if every task was absolutely perfect). However, Hurricane Mathew's winds prevented me from running off the mountain launch. I waited around for four days (while studying, taking tests, and flying tandem aerotows) waiting for favorable conditions, but had to go home without the joy of running off the mountain. I am going back in two weeks to hopefully complete my 10 newbie mountain flights, and perhaps get my aerotow rating as well. I'll need to be re-cleared on the training hills again, but that is fine with me. The hills are fun. I can't wait!
Came back to watch this again. Great first landing.
Thanks for posting.

Don't forget to enjoy the flight. Just starting my lessons hope my launches/landings look as solid. cheers!
Your doing it not dreaming about it . well done mate.
Like Wag said...relax...enjoy! Nice job!
Nice. Man that LZ at LM is infinite! Relax and stick some more landings. Set up a cone and go for spot landings.
Thanks, and you are welcome to. Hopefully not as an example of what you can do wrong :)
