Hi, thanks for the reaction. Just a few comments to top up the history the others mentioned. These girls are indie, not idol. They don’t have any major investment or record company backing them up, they have to earn their living. Rolling Star Entertainment is them, with two brothers doing the management and some support staff. All of them ‘music educated’, play several instruments, even the drummer started up as a pianist. I follow them even before Rolling Quartz, saw them live in Sydney last year, they are fire on stage.
Thanks for the reaction, yes, they look great, they sound great, a bunch of very talented girls. They are not idol, they are indie, they were not hand-picked for their looks, it was just the stroke of luck. They don’t have rich investors or big record companies behind them, they have to earn their living. They pay for everything, including amps, instruments, travel, the works, when Hyunjung bought her Suhr Modern before their first US tour, she said that was the first brand new guitar she ever owned. Rolling Star Entertainment is them, with two brothers as managers and a few supporting staff. Their ultimate goal is to put rock back in the mainstream in Korea, the bithplace of K-pop, where rock is almost completely dead, especially since the Rux incident in 2005, which is not especially rewarding. They started building up a solid fan base, which they tuly deserved. All of them play multiple instruments, even Yeong eun the drummer started up as a pianist. Ja young is originally a vocal coach, in a few of their performances plays the keys, also does Iree, who is an offical ESP Guitars Artist.i saw them live last September in Sydney, they are fire on stage. If you want to check out more of their own work, I suggest Fearless and Re.Bold, their two latest singles. Thanks for reading my spill.
Hey Mike, these girls are the real deal. I saw them play in Sydney a few months ago, and they rocked the roof off! Their live show is fantastic. They have a multi city US tour coming up soon, try to see them if they are near you, you won't regret it. I met the ladies later at the fan signing, which was awesome. Like their Japanese counterparts, they are humble, charming, and they greatly respect their fan base, who they call Diadem. I was able to chat with vocalist Jayoung, who recognised my Lovebites shirt, as she saw them play in Korea. I could only stammer something incomprehensible to the drummer, she is scary! Someone once commented that when Yeongeun stares at you down the camera lens, she takes a piece of your soul! 😂 Further suggestion- the MVs for Blaze and Azalea, and Reminiscence (live if available), which really shows their versatility. Cheers.
My favorite Rolling Quartz song is Fearless. As others have mentioned, Rolling Quartz has some remakes. I recommend Azalea, Sing Your Heart Out, Good Night, and Reminiscence. These songs will be good introductions to K-rock for you.
Arem (bassist) is the most tattooed member. Big one on the top right of her back, and front side of her left thigh. Both arms also tattooed from top to bottom. All are real tattoos. Hyunjung (blue/green hair guitarist) also has some tattoos. What I remember, those are on her hands, 1 diamond, 1 idk like a writing within her fingers The tattoos on Yeongeun's (drummer) hands are the fake ones, haven't seen both Jayoung (vocalist) and Iree (red hair guitarist) having tattoos either and never heard of them talking specifically about tattoo
Arem's tattoos are real, I even signed up for her a year ago. Rolling Quartz is more of a cover band that also performs their own compositions, but I will say that they are quite popular. This is evidenced by their European tour last year and, considering that their EP Fighting entered the top five rock albums in the US. 💯👍
I love Rolling Quartz. They are so much fun. I might have mentioned them at least once. But I'm not sure. They hit my radar when I was listening to a lot of Band Maid & Waggaki Band. I first listened to their song Blaze & fell in love. I found out that they love to cover my fave Korean Girl Group Dreamcatcher. I really think you would like their Good Night cover. I hope you continue listening to them.
Oh I definitely will. I saw they covered youth gone wild by skid row and I almost don't want to wait til this weekend to go to the studio to react to it amongst many others. They really caught my attention immediately with this song
@@Ravage-Mike-Reacts Their cover of Zitti E Buoni was awesome enough that they have two videos for it. A Hot & a Cool version. Basically they had enough footage to make two videos & they did. You should watch one of the two sometime.
Kpop group format with rock base also exist named Dreamcatcher. They also related to Rolling Quartz. Yeongeun (drummer) is/was a drummer teacher for one member in Dreamcatcher (Handong), she also do drum covers and piano cover(s) to Dreamcatcher songs. Arem (bassist) basically a fan, she has UA-cam channel and do album unboxing towards Dreamcatcher album. Also Rolling Quartz's second release (also in their first EP), they did remake of Good Night which is Dreamcatcher song. You may check Dreamcatcher too if you want, they basically the rebel group of kpop. I mean, they don't use kpop formula a.k.a kpop mold musically, they chose rock as main base while rock is the least chosen genre in Korea.. basically being rebel among kpop groups 😅
I know who dreamcatcher is. i've already done reactions. and the difference between the 2 is these girls are the ones playing the instruments. dreamcatcher is basically another babymetal
FYI, it's only "Google Translate" if the subtitle says auto-translated when you turn it on. The other thing you may see is auto-generated which is the audio was "listened" to and they attempt to identify spoken words. When it just says English then someone translated it. In this case their official translator Lyndsey.
excellent band I know them since they only did covers , the look like idols but they can play , LOVEBITES played in Korea in August and the singer was in the audience so they also have good taste 😊

Songlist for you to start.
(Fearless) their best hard rock song imo.
(Azalea) has a Lynrd Skynyrd feel to it.
(Good Night) its a cover of a band called Dreamcatcher, but RQ did it better.
There are several other good songs but this is a start.
Also in April/ May they will be touring the US.
I have a large list of their songs ready to check out this weekend
