Sir, Let me appreciate that you have been putting efforts on this channel for more than 8 years. I really feel bad that you are so underrated. But I promise you will be definitely awarded for your hardwork oneday.
Thanks Leo. I have already received 5 emails with a code in 3 consecutive days now and its alarming. I changed my password and turned on two factor verification. I dont know if its still "accidental" or somebody is really trying to access my account.
@@Ky3-d4x Yes, it was. But of course, scammers could send something that looks the same, so still exercise care and check the URL carefully before entering your details.

I got this very same thing. I reset the password and the account is not my original one. What do I do? It looks like I opened a new account? I did not.
Thank you Leo its clear now because my account was just hack yesterday my first time after 2 decades of using FB. But after I have recover my account change the password. So just ignore it if I have already change my passwrod am I right?
I got blotted out of my account today and I can’t seem to get back into my account on my phone . So I tried to get out of my account on my computer . Now I can’t get In on either . So now I don’t know if I should wait 24 hours to get back In . I don’t remember my passwords by heart

Leo, please help me with this question if you get a chance : I know for a fact nobody has a similar email to mine as it is a very weird one. Does this mean that whoever is trying to reset my password knows what my email is?
There's no way to know for sure. I mean, obviously they "know" it, because they're typing it in, but whether it's because they're targeting you, or it's just a random coincidence, I can't say. I will say that what we often think of as "very weird" isn't as weird as we think.
I received an email saying we received a request to reset your password. I didn't request it. I then press "let us know" and I press "okay" after reading the next message. It then goes to my Facebook page, and I see that someone has logged into my account, and this is after I changed my password. After this, I changed to two factor identification. Can you tell me how someone can log into my account even though I changed the password?
@askleonotenboom Thank you for responding. It shows the person name, where the person is located, and what time the person logged in. I would then change the password and log that person out. The next day or a few days later, I get an email about a password reset. Am I giving that person access when I hit "let us know"?

I would note that there is a link at the bottom "Didn't request this - let us know" that directs to facebook. The URL appears to be legit.

Never click links in Emails unless you requested them.

As long as you have good security (I recommend 2FA also), there's nothing you can do but ignore them.

How can we verify the email is from Facebook? Is there a way to review and report requests from the facebook app?
Most important is to confirm that any links in the email ACTUALLY GO TO FACEBOOK. Hover over them and confirm the URLs that are displayed.
I got a request to change my password in Facebook, that I did not initiate. I ignore it but the damned notification doesn't go away, its been weeks!
" The page isn’t redirecting properly " in Firefox search . Can you help with this one also.
Nope. Generally depends on the site, and often indicates a problem with the site itself.

What I cannot explain is WHY the reset code sent to TWO emails is DIFFERENT? Don't they send the same code?
My assumption is it allows them to track which email you're responding to.
