    Hi. The intestine structure that looks like a bunch of worms is called (((((((( pyloric caeca )))))))) it secretes enzymes and provide additional digestive areas to the intestine. predatory fishes have them in larger quantity and salmonids are known to have a lot ;)

    hell of a net job by him for his first time. most people swoop way too soon or when the fish is just too deep and blow it. that was quick and decisive, and waited for the right time. nice job

    I use outrigger clips attached to the top of my downrigger weights, then clip the downrigger to the top of the outrigger clip, the adjustable tension on them works great, you make 7 wraps in the line and clip it in. i found it works way better than downrigger clips

    Had a boat, fished alone with two downriggers out of Santa Cruz. Had a 32 pounder and a 29 pounder on at the same time. Like trying to drag two torpedoes through the water. The sea was up and the boat was almost on its sides. Had to tie myself to the wheel with the anchor line so I wouldn't fall in and crawl between the rods to reel the fish. Got both onboard. Best fishing day in my life. Wife complained because they were too big to clean in the sink. Women can be strange. Didn't want to disrespect them by cleaning in the garage. Still have the photos.

    I’ll add on the sailboat right of way.
    Except when on anchor. I’ve been on anchor fishing for sharks in the bay and had sailboats think they had the right of way and almost cross our anchor line. Most of the time sailboats are oblivious because they think they always have the right of way when they’re under sail power.

    • @davidbarclay4968
      @davidbarclay4968 2 роки тому +1

      Additionally depending on where you live, both power boats and sail boats must take early and substantial action to keep clear of vessels engaged in fishing activities. Sail boats do not have the right of way in many places when your under trawl.

    Another way you can fish it dropping it on the bottom or quite a ways down and reel slower than medium and when you get a bit set the hook but if he's not there reel faster until he bites again and set the hook. I tried this method here in Alaska in 200 feet and caught 6 pinks and 1 silver in 45 mins
