I’m 50, and I’ve loved this band and Hysteria since I was 14. I never skip tracks when they come through whatever sound system I’m using. High n Dry, Pyromania and Hysteria, I still love them after all these years.
Steve "White Lightning" Clark !!!! That solo and that light on him is killer !!! What a loss ! Saw this tour and The Pyromania Tour , love em all but Steve was my favorite !!! Was crazy about Vivian had a poster of him kn my room from the Guitar Magazine !! He was a great pick to fill Def Leppards empty spot !!! Steve "The Riff Master" Clark !!!
thanks Andy....this is pure gold....one has feelings of unbridled joy but also deep sadness.......The Riffmaster simply owned the stage, had it all like his hero Page..Leppard's lack of major success since his passing is really the penultimate legacy he left..
Like Dennis Wilson of The Beach Boys, John Bonham of Zepplin, Keith Moon of The WHO, Steve Clark was the Spirit & Soul of Def Leppard. With his long blond hair & gibson slung low, he WAS stage presence personified. He was the 80's generations Jimmy Page. How lucky I feel to have seen him with my "Buds" back when they were young & kicking ass!
Saw them on the high n dry , pyromania , hysteria and adrenilize tour ! Hysteria was them at their greatest ! Hysteria is one of the top 10 albums of the 80s and a top 5 in my mind
Saw them on their Pyromania tour, and this one. I remember that 2 times Rick's kit went haywire, so they had to stop for 10-15 minutes, but they were such good sports and were talking with the arena during the break. After the issue was fixed, they rocked as hard as ever! Glad to say I saw Steve live twice, but very sad that he's not with us anymore... R.I.P.
I saw them twice on this tour, the first time in Toronto, at the CNE Grandstand (not in the round), then again in Hamilton at Copps Coliseum, this time in the Round (much better). In Toronto they played "Don't Shoot Shotgun", but they took it out of the set in Hamilton, and put in "Love Bites", as it became a hit between shows. Funny thing, it was one of the first times they'd ever played "Love Bites" live..
The band has never recovered from losing Steve Clarke. Not only did he write the majority of catchy riffs for their hits like Photograph, Armageddon it, I personally prefer his feel to Phil Collen. Steve plays this lead. I think he worked more towards complimenting Collens playing than the reciprocal.
RockDood88 I also prefer his lead playing. He has so much feel. He’s not real flashy but amazing melody. Love the solo from love bites and Armageddon it. Plus the band’s first two records were loaded full of faster paced more energetic Clark solos. Really an awesome guitarist.
Too bad tracks like this didn’t make the cut for “In The Round” video. Cutting room floor video footage should be updated. It would make a ton of money

This song is so BADASS, I miss the 80's...I remember this tour so well. RIP, Steve Clark, your awesome guitar riffs were Def Leppard's signature.

Lost an arm and STILL SMASHING that kit like you stole it !
Much love and respect my friend.
Carry on...
That's such a good solo. He's making the guitar sing triumphantly.
If this were released today, no doubt it would be the standout track with an official video.

@@peytonbrezski Pete willis and Steve drove those first few albums hard. They did lose the heartbeat of def leppard when steve died.

@Ajwmsaguitarman I personally think it sounds awesome. What do you think?
Hey Andy, Do have this full show? It's really good quality

Too bad tracks like this didn’t make the cut for “In The Round” video. Cutting room floor video footage should be updated. It would make a ton of money
The One Direction video is cheezy but those little dudes can sing though.
Музыка моей молодости , ёбана жизнь куда катится
@danewson He sounds awesome. Seriously what are you talking about?
Why do you think Def Leppard sings about red iphones in Pour some Sugar on me?
lmfao ikr
@stevenzane Ox was the spirit of the who
Rick Allen
Steve died before the tour
Mike Thaxton no he didn’t cause you can see him in the video.... Steve died in 1991 and this was 1988
