- This week Vincent shows a used collection of Bechuanaland, while Andrew shows Sierra Leone, each with much completeness, and some lovely Colonial designs.
www.sandafayre.com - we sell stamps and stamp collections through our weekly stamp auctions; we also offer free stamp collecting resources to help you with your philately!
Really enjoyed seeing both collections. Thanks
We think it's great to see how people have displayed their collections over the years. It's easy for us to be rather isolated and not know how we might best do it so the more collections we see, the better.
Amazing! I love British Colonies, they are all fantastic! Thanks!
You are welcome!
Very interesting point about South Africa pairs, had often wondered why it was horizontal formats more sought after,
thank you for answering a question I have had for nearly sixty years
Hi Mike. Only found this out myself a few years back. Most specialised collectors of that area don't know the story.
Great collections. Cheers from Qld Australia!!
Thanks for watching!
African stamps - they are just so close to my heart, especially southern Africa. The fauna stamps of Bechuanaland and later Botswana is to die for. :) Just because of its location, Bechuanaland wins it for me. :) Thanks! I really like these short show and tell sessions.
Many thanks. The format allows us to ad lib. It may not be the most polished but we enjoy doing it and we hope that comes across.
Could do with some of the early Sierra Leone to compliment a great lot of George V I bought on a Cheshire Auction a while ago lovely country to collect imo
We'll see what we can do!
