It is not quite that simple--core competences are often a combination of resources/capabilities. For example a patent by itself is not a core competency. The company must be able to leverage that patent into revenues and profits, which requires other resources and capabilities (manufacturing, marketing, etc.)

My Question: Core competencies are people or machine or plant or licence of invention, right?
It is not quite that simple--core competences are often a combination of resources/capabilities. For example a patent by itself is not a core competency. The company must be able to leverage that patent into revenues and profits, which requires other resources and capabilities (manufacturing, marketing, etc.)
