  • Coilovers are going on the Mazda 6, it took some time to install, all day pretty much since I did it myself. Ran into a lot of issues, and for some reason my coils didn't come with instructions.

      Appreciate the support! I agree. Late gen 3 and gen 4 look hella nice.

      @@DrakenSolo word! I would like to get the gen 3 gt model because of the different headlight fixture, heard it's expensive to do a facelift on the gen 3 base model.

      Yeah they're meant for my year as well. My next is an exhaust I'll likely try to get that next month. And you say you added paddles? How'd you manage to do that ? Or did you already have them and got aftermarket paddles?

      Ty_Dorian I actually found a guide on the Mazda forums to install it for my car it worked out great I’ll upload a video about showing it with a link if you want to install them too

      I got a 16 Mazda 6 and I’m doing H&R lowering springs this week myself and was thinking about doing a vid for ppl to use.

      Yeah definitely you might be able to help some people out. I've never seen anyone put lowering springs on I'd definitely watch it.

      Yeah definitely go and get some. Make sure you play around with it to see what feels best. I ran into a number of different issues that I was not expecting. 😤

      Ty_Dorian how does the coils affect the ride quality

    • @DrakenSolo
      @DrakenSolo  5 років тому +2

      Good question, so mind you I always do my research and wasn't expecting any of this. When I got my coils and installed them, I got cambered out and my toe was all ruined. So essentially the ride quality was terrible, the steering was weak and way off.
      After I got my alignment and adjusted the stiffness/softness of my coils and put on the stabilizer end links that came with the coils, fast forward to today the ride quality is amazing and the steering is nice and tight, and I have less body roll.
      I did ask around on insta and no one had these issues, some of them didn't even get an alignment and their ride quality was not affected according to them. So maybe it was just my car. But definitely get an alignment after installing.

    Don’t install coil overs if your not going low

      Mo Camber I’m low now. I had to get wheels though, which I did. And I didn’t want to be that tucked.

    Please don’t do this car a disservice and rice it out, it’s to nice for that...

    • @DrakenSolo
      @DrakenSolo  5 років тому +2

      Adding coilovers to the car doesn't make it rice, all my mods will be performance based until I get down to interior and exterior mods.
      Next mod is a catback exhaust. No rice here 👍🏽

    Bruh it looks like your shocks are shot. Dont lower the car if you dont have nice rims!! Just get spacers that will make your car have a mad stance. Looks ugly with stock wheels

      Dawg he has aftermarket wheels now. You can’t build a car overnight. Also spacers on stock wheels can never replace the look of aftermarket wheels that are truly wider. Imagine “mad stance” with 7.5” little stock wheels 🥴, thats not possible. I’m curious to see what your mazda 6 looks like if you’re the fitment expert because I’m confident it doesn’t look as good as his does now 🤔. Post a video of it, let’s see it
