So has happened with many other sects like Zoroastarians Kafiristanis of Afghanistan and Manichists of west asia . Only the Jews have survived and are a potential presence in the modern world . well if you want to know about the history of Ajivikas, there are a lot of Videos on "Aaseevegam" it is said that the Ajivikas were in existence even during the time of Sanatana Dharma, they opposed the superiority of the Vedas, why you cannot find Ajivikas temples in the North Because most Temples were destroyed during the Mauryan Empire mainly during the time of Ashoka he destroyed those temples because Buddhists and Jains mainly opposed the Ajivikas idealogy, and yes Ajivikas too have temples, but you would find them a lot in southern parts of India, even today they are being practised and Brahmins do not do rituals in these temples because even according to Ajivikas rules Brahmins aren't allowed and they actually praise their Gods and Goddesses with meat. for example, if you did not Kali, Ayannar, Jaggamma are actually Ajivika Gods and Goddesses. Kali in Ajivikas are called "Kotravai" they say that she was the mother of all South Indians you see today. even the Cholas prayed to this Goddess during the time of war, then later when "Veidiga Mandham" or "Sanatana Dharma" was spread in South India, they even included Ajivikas Gods and Goddesses into their religion that is one of the reasons why Hinduism has way too many Gods and Goddesses. when these Sanatana Kings went and conquered many places where ever they went they just included the Natives Gods and Goddess into their Religion Sanatana Dharma. even today you can find Ajivikas temples in the Deep South. if you want more info I can provide you with some videos. Because I can see many South Indians trying to revive Ajivikas again, for example, if you see Ganesh were the symbol of Ajivikas he was not actually a God that is why you see there is no logic how a kid with an Elephant head can live, in Ajivikas Temples you can see Ganesh everywhere. even Ajivikas say that Shaivism and Vaishnavism were a Part of Ajivikas.

Ashoka's father and Chandragupta Mauryas son emperor Bindusara was an Ajivika . He had sent an Ajivika shraman to Athens to preach his religion . Don't take the Ajivakas so lightly . Maybe centuries of destruction of their literatures by rival philosophical and religious groups have wiped off their dominant presence in the ancient world . So has happened with many other sects like Zoroastarians Kafiristanis of Afghanistan and Manichists of west asia . Only the Jews have survived and are a potential presence in the modern world . The Ajivikas were not so lucky . Maybe it was ordained in their destiny which they believed so much and they vanished 😟

Very good video. It appears that some traits of Ajivikas have been assimilated in the larger canvass of Hinduism
because Hinduism is a Mixed Religion 7 Ancient Religions of India merged that is how Hinduism was created today. for example Shaivism, Vaishnavism, Smarktas, Aaseevegam or Ajivikas, etc... this is how Hinduism we have today.
@@CB-of2fw well gods like Ayannar in Tamil Nadu, Jagamma are Ajivikas Gods and Goddesses, they usually do not call them as Gods and Goddesses, but as Masters. they are still present in India but as a Part of Hinduism for example for Ayannar you will actually see these people actually providing Meat as Food for their Deities and sometimes even Wine and stuff, they are still present in southern parts of India as I said but as a part of Hinduism, but Brahmins do not enter these temples even today. you will only see certain groups of people pray to these Gods and Goddesses mainly in southern India. Go check Pictures of God Ayannar and stuff they are from this sect. plus Ajivikas were actually a Part of Ancient Indian Traditions and Culture but they did not disappear like said in the video because, during the Mauryan Empire, they were a persecuted Sect, literally their sages were Impaled to death with spears that is one of the bloody histories of the Ajivikas. even Ajivikas of today says that Shaivism and Vaishnavism were actually a part of Ajivikas only after the downfall of Ajivikas these Ideas spread and became their own sects and then fused within Hinduism of today.

Buddha's dates are based on Indian and Sinhalese buddhist canons. Indian texts like Vinaya Pitaka date him to 448 BCE (this is called Short Chronology). The Sinhalese Buddhist texts like Mahavamsa and Dipavamsa date him to 624 BCE. The former is called Short Chronology and the latter is called Long Chronology. Modern Chronology accepted by historians is between these two chronologies.
What you are calling "indic texts" are actually Chinese texts(also in Vietnam, Korea and Japan) . They have various dates from 949 BCE to 2420 BCE. These are not historically accepted.
Its pretty funny. You guys are rejecting the traditional canons maintained in India and Sri Lanka, calling them "western dates". And embracing East Asian canons instead. "We laugh at u, not with u." You really love these low effort overused WhatsApp jokes to validate yourself.
For others who don't follow narratives by Abhijit Chavda fans who only get their info from WhatsApp/Facebook groups, read "Date of the Buddha" by Karam Tej Sarao, former head of Buddhist Studies in Delhi University (from his book Buddhism and Jainism (Encyclopedia of Indian Religions)).
Indian historical events are dated based on linguistic, philological, archaeological, paleographic and numismatic studies of our history. But the consipiracy theorists made a canon based on the Chinese texts that say Buddha was born in 949 BCE (ignoring our own canon in Indian texts) where Mauryan Empire was contemporary to Cyrus and Gupta Empire was around 4th century BCE (ignoring Ashoka's Greek inscriptions which mentions his contemporary rulers in Greece, Egypt and Selucid Empire).
