Personna CC & Platinum DE Blades The Same?

- Did Accutech make a mistake by branding their personna comfort coat as Personna platinum by accident? The comfort coats are made in the United States whereas the platinum are made in Germany. Did they just show their hand? Tell me what you think in the comment section

The Platinum you've got there are made in Israel. The newer Platinum's with the gold on the packaging are made in Germany.

The American Safety Razor plant in Germany that makes the new Personna Platinums (Blue & Gold package) also makes the new Wilkinson Sword blades. Those are Teflon (PTFE) coated. Wonder how similar they are to one another.
@ Ohio Shaves, I just want to say once again that I appreciate your channel, sir, so much so that I'm strongly considering becoming a member. To put that in my perspective, I'm a huge Tennessee Volunteers fan, and I'm a member of one of those channels, and that's it. So, I'm complementing you on your efforts with your channel. Based on your reviews, I'm getting my Leaf Twig today, so it will be a new shaving experience for me at age 57, and I have been a lifelong Gillette guy. It's also a big deal personally to go from a cartridge to this type of razor because I'm on a blood thinner, Eliquis. I simply plan on taking my time and hopefully limit the amount of nicks & cuts I incur. In the future, I may go with a Henson or Rockwell T2, I like the twist to fly and adjustable nature of the T2 from your video reviews, but if that happens it will be on down the road. Anyway, sorry for the long reply, I'm just thankful I discovered your channel, sir. Go Vols! Go Ohio Shaves! Haha..

I totally understand your concern brother. Mix ups like this happen periodically on Amazon based on my experience. I had the same experience with Astra Russia and Astra India. I kept it because I love both blades but I was initially concerned about false advertisement with the Russia blades
I need to find my go to blade which are the comfort coats. I don’t dislike the platinum, but they’re not as smooth on my face.
@@OhioShaves If they sent you the wrong blade altogether than you absolutely should be upset. I think you already know this but super safety blades always has the best blades available as well as shipping what they advertise. Thank you for all of your videos and comments brother!
Wait you can still buy Persona Comfort Coat? Aren't they now Accu Forge? I keep a variety of blades on hand, which brand/blade would you consider a cheaper buying option than feathers but just as sharp?

Im a little confused at this short. I dont understand when you say the personna blade is identical, are you saying the personna platinum they sent you is identical to the comfort coated blades? And if one is made in america and one is germany they cant be the same blades, right?
After reading some comments I believe u understand the context a little bit better. From what I understand now you purchased the comfort costs on Amazon and you received a box of comfort coats with persona platinum blades in it. When I first watched I thought they just sent you the personna platinums in the platinum box, but now I understand they sent them in the cc box. Hmmm that's strange. Once I ordered a feather kamisori razor and the seller ended up sending me the feather folding razor of the same color instead. I was so upset I contacted both him and eBay and never did I get that rectified through either of them, so I'm stuck with a folding razor. Jokes on the seller though, I bought 3 boxes of blades that he also messed up on one or two of and ended up getting negative feedback on all 4 transactions.
Platinum were inside the comfort coat box
So I used the Super Safety Razors seller on Amazon and got the correct blades. Someone else on B&B forum used the Beast Beauty seller on Amazon and got the correct blades also, the 100 pack wrapped in cellophane. Mine were not wrapped and Amazon being trash for shipping quality threw my box in a bag....so the blades were all out of the box flying around in the bag.

This is the very point I was making in one of your other videos about AccuThrive or whatever “surgical prep blade” was just Personna, when you retorted back, “What’s wrong with Personna?”
I replied, nothing except the cost. Here, you’re holding one box that’s $19.00 and one that’s $32.00 on Amazon’s compare to similar items list.
And it sucks to spend $34.00 and receive the cheaper in its place.

I have seen this happen to someone else. My theory is that whoever the amazon store is, is scamming people sending cheaper chrome platinums in counterfeit Personna comfort coated boxes

David I'm not sure if you do it for content or whatever reason but first of all, the platinums you showed are not german ones those were the israeli made ones (personna red's), second if you shave with both ATG only you would notice especially with a thick beard that the CC is sharper and has less problems than the platinum. They definitely are not the same

No comfort coat are PTFE coated blades, the others are Platinum coated. Amazon listing is wrong. Just seller with misinformation

@OhioShaves ok, didn't see that when you showed box. But I have some personna Platinum that don't say comfort coat on them from a sample pack I got couple years ago. Guess they must have changed them, so thanks for the heads up on them.
Nope that's just Amazon for you. Often similar items get lumped together in their warehouses. Also counterfeit items get put with real ones so you never know what you might end up with.

Operation safety razor... 😂 The Chinese make electronics with no name and when they are bought at trade shows the buyer slaps his brand on it.. I wouldn't be surprised if the same thing doesn't happen with blades too. I mean there are only so many ways to make a good blade..

@@OhioShaves They got misplaced and I have used both blades. They have a different feel. I prefer cc, they are better
