suddenly their scope covers what security guard, medical care, caterer, delivery man does etc. so much complex than i imagined. Salute them and let's not take their hardships for granted. Thanks CNA for filming this!
Chef Low is a hero!! Making huge quantities of food with love so quarantined guests can have a feeling of staying with a family that cares for them 👏👏 Why is this man not getting a medal?!?🥇
80% of people i knew said the SHN food sucked. If you are chef talking, you will probably say you tried your best. But not surprised that the food is bad due to cost cut and how routine it is.
Ask around those who work at SHN hotel how fuzzy and unreasonable are some SHN ppl about their daily food giving unneccesary headache. Fortunately not everyone is like that.
This past 2 years had been a real test of the human race in general and Singapore in particular. Singapore was able to survive so far as we had accumulated sufficient wealth through frugal savings and investments in the past generations. We can also afford to vaccinate and protect more than 80% of our residents. Important lesson to learn is that our good life cannot be taken for granted and we should always be prepared for a sudden disaster befalling on us. 天有不測風雲,人有旦夕禍福 天有不测风云,人有旦夕祸福 (Just as the weather can suddenly turn nasty the fortune of a people can also suddenly turns bad) We note in the video that many Singapore workers had made sacrifices to keep the country going. 亂世出英雄 乱世出英雄 (In troubled times heroes will emerge) We should be thankful to these unsung heroes, in particular those who work in the health service sectors. We do appreciate your efforts.
I’m a hotelier as well. And it’s happened at my property too. The service industry really makes you realise how ridiculous people can be it’s truly unbelievable.
Ironic isn’t it? Here they’re saying home quarantine is not the way to go yet the many infected now are forced to stay at home to self isolate (and infect their family members?) One step forward, three steps back
I thought the HQO is that you have to stay in a room with a toilet for 14 days without interacting with anyone else? If that's not possible, have to do QO at a SDF, right?
Its a pity there are some insensible ppl who think that staying at hotel for SHN is like staycation, being fuzzy and demanding about their food. If they want their food being served with or without certain ingredient and being served in certain way then they better order room service. Feeding few hundred SHN guest is like what catering business do, prepare in big batch at once. If many ppl are being fuzzy with their various demand it become more complicated and may delay the whole process.
21 days in a hotel with internet/air-con/good beds/good bath room/good food/cable TV/Grad food service/nice city view/with possible personal gym equipment.............. pls dont complain or give neg comment, just accept it. if you got C19 accept it, what has happen already happen nothing much you can do; there is no time machine to go back. if you dont get it, then take it as a 21 days staycation..
Recall that in response to comments about how the pandemic was impacting on mental health e.g. due to quarantine & closed borders separating families some people were more dismissive & simply said something like: "Be grateful that you still can keep in contact with loved ones because Zoom has been invented". To some I guess it's probably just a matter of mental fortitude & toughness & "pulling yourself together", but I've never been thru that so I might not be the most qualified to judge
I love that CNA made this look like a breakthrough policy by Singaporean gov while countries like UK and Indonesia have been doing it much much much earlier.
Thats probably your own understanding. This has been done in SG and other countries from the begining of the pandemic while during that time Indonesia still in denial kept saying no covid case in Indonesia.
🤫..... Americans have been putting their homeless & drug addicts in hotels. Free of Charge. There never been a perfect time in humanity to be homeless and a junkie in America How is singapore handling their junkies and the homeless?
