- Fidgety Feet - Dutch Swing College 1977
In a TV program from the Netherlands in 1977 called "Music Gallery" Peter Schilperoort's Dutch Swing College Band is performing the early jazz standard Fidgety Feet. This band is so well known and is considered one of the best in Europe, if not the best.
For people who have seen films of this band might be unfamiliar with the trumpet player. Ray Kaart is the brother of Dick Kaart, the trombonist.
I believe Ray always wanted te become the trumpet man of this band, but Peter found him not disciplined enough. For several periods Ray was in the band , however Ray was a bit of an individual, he would play bebop notes in an ensemble, etc. I personally find him a man with very interesting ideas.
Two fantastick brothers Ray Kaart and Dick Kaart. World greatest dixi land band. Dutch Swing College Band. LEADER PETER SCHILPEROORT.
Geweldig!!!!!
Back in 1967 was the frist time i saw drummer Huub Janssen live with dscb. And ever since become my friend and hero.I was playing drums in freiburg/breisgau,germany.Later on in copenhagen,my hometown. LEADER PETER SCHILPEROORT. World finest dixiland band.
WOW....GREAT sax man.....ALL of them are wonderful....BRAVO!
"Der Trompeter" is Ray Kaart, greatest little trumpeter in Europe ever!
Jaap van Kempen een geweldige banjoist gitarist. Henk Bosch van Drakenstein geweldige bassist.
Excellent - Huub Janssen - what a drummer!
Super DSC - Sound! The trend since Tuba Skinny to let the FRONTLINE sit on chairs would have been not a bad idea for this FRONTLINE as well ....:-)))) All solists (tall and small) very good by the way!
BRAVISSIMO ! ! ! !
Many thanks for this upload ! Jo Luttringer (France)

I posted a video comment,
My Hero and friend, teacher

The Real DSC Super Sound. Great solo' s as well.
love the broken sound of ray, like wild bill davison
Is it me or does the trumpet player resemble Dorian Gray?
He resembles 12 year old Alan after he turns into a monkey in the movie "Jumanji".
