I want this. Actually, I need this. Absolutely have to have it type of guitar that doesn’t come around often for me. The looks, semi-hollow body, and the perfect pickup arrangement. It checks all the boxes for my next guitar.
I have this guitar in the LE matte charcoal with the white pickguard. Its very fun to play and sounds great clean or for that tele type twang. You did a nice job showing off what it can do.
Hi , how noisy are the single coils with some OD ?

Sounds great. Everyone else played with a ratty distorted sound. That was okay when I was 14
With the tone rolled down and the overdrive, it almost sounds like a fuzz or cocked wah. SWEET!
This should be the blueprint for all guitar demos. GB is just a pro.

What kind of black is that guitar, satin? Because wherever I look online is gloss.
How do you rate the pickups? I’ve heard some bad reviews on them. Do they get muddied at all? I tend to play mostly clean stuff so I only need them to handle some slight overdrive at times
They are awesome clean. If you go in expecting a telecaster, its going to disappoint. Its not my first choice for dirty rock. Its killer for clean.
I've got one of these and it plays and looks great. My only issue is the pups. They sound great. But, the humbucker is noisy and gets lots of interference type noise at any kind of gain level. The GC tech told me this was normal. But, I've tested it alongside my other guitars with various pickup setups, and none of those get this much hum.
The single coils in the neck and middle are just an Alnico 5/2 setup Telecaster neck model from Seymour Duncan, I don't think the middle pickup is Reverse Wound, Reverse Polarity, so no cancellation mode. Mine just shipped, so I haven't confirmed, but what I suspect is your trouble.
@@stephanematis Thanks for the reply , but it is the humbucker that makes all the hum, ironically enough. The guitar is fine at moderate levels of crunch tone. But, any gain past that immediately gets noisy. If I switch to the middle position of using just the two single coils, the guitar is silent. So, they must be canceling each other. I'm trying to figure out why the humbucker isn't bucking the hum. Of course, it could just be common for this guitar, if that pickup is too hot. But, I own several other guitars with minis in them that don't make this much noise. I keep wondering if I have a weak ground connection somewhere.
