Love this video! Self care is so important. Its easy to forget to take care of your self, or maybe just not feel like you have enough time to properly take care of your self. Reading and yoga are my favorite ways to practice self care.
making a good breakfast, taking a bath, having tea with a sweet cake, reading a novel, sleeping early and waking-up slowly, breathing when I go for walk, surrounding myself with +++ people
Making yourself a cooked breakfast, using an acupressure mat (like a Shakti mat), gardening, listen to a favourite few songs while going through a car wash, light a candle, take off your shoes and feel grass with your bare feet, make yourself a drink (smoothie, tea, coffee, hot choc whatever), call a parent, sibling or close friend or family member,
So many good ideas here! I particularly love the calling a friend or family member idea and the making yourself a drink one. I’ve started making smoothies more often and love the whole process!
I love how much you're getting into hygge! I'm from Denmark (where the concept comes from) and it's fun to see the trend expand to other countries! Loved the video!
Thank you. It's really hard to look after self these days, especially in this era when everything is fast and people expect you to keep moving so having this to remind me is so nice. :>
I especially like your # 24. Decluttering really helps you feel more on top of your home and it's crazy how, no matter how often I go through things, I always seem to be able to find things the kids can't fit anymore, that are broken and can't be fixed or things that I just don't use anymore. We have a "donation station" set up in the basement, so every time we find something that we don't need we bring it there right away so that it doesn't either sit on our desk or nightstand FOREVER, or simply get put away again and NEVER LEAVE. I love all your picks though! I'm on maternity leave right now and have two other kids and I try to do a few of these every day. Life can get so stressful. It's important to take care of yourself so you can be there for others.
Totally agree with this! And Christopher and I have a donation area in our laundry room 😊 Love that you’re taking time to do some of these each way while you’re on maternity leave though!
This time of year I love daffodils 🌼 and they are so cheap to buy so I often treat myself to at least two bunches every week until the daffodil season ends. I also live by the sea and love going for a walk by the beach. But that’s on stand buy at the moment as I’ve got a sinus infection . Perhaps u could do a self care tip video for when you are feeling ill xx
It sounds a bit silly, but the breathing one really got me. I've been trying to do a lot of little things lately to improve my overall health and well-being, especially mentally as this is a big scary year for me and I can't remove the stressors so I need to adapt to handling them, and yet I never thought of breathing. I do breathing exercises when my anxiety flares but I've never really tried to focus on it at any other time. Something else I'm trying to do is be more mindful while I'm eating, if that makes sense. I'm not sure how to phrase it, haha. But not multitasking while I'm eating, taking slower bites, chewing more thoroughly, drinking water through the meal, etc. Just savouring the tastes and being less harsh on my body!
Last comment lol my dog does really help me especially when I'm stressed out or just feeling sad he actually cheers me up. And I did the least certain you to a burst because I feel like now they do have more for fame not for what they actually love.
My fiancé and I both work overnight so we have to especially practice self care. It is hard to get quality sleep in our apartment while everyone else is awake and stomping around and people are doing yard work etc. Thanks for the video!!
I know I'm responding a year later but oh well. I was having a hard time waking up earlier until I bought a sunrise alarm clock. It slowly brightens over 15-45 minutes before the alarm starts and the alarm is much gentler than a regular screaming alarm clock. It was a life changing purchase.
Sad that we can get so entangled in all the craziness of modern life that we might even forget to do simple things to make us happy and show to ourselves that we are worthy of time and love. But I think those are crucial habits for a healthy and enjoyable life.
Essential oils help as well. You can use them in various ways. On your skin, in the air, inside your body. I use lavender in a diffuser when I go to bed.
If you’re using them internally or ingesting them, make sure you’re under the care of a qualified professional and not just doing it because salesperson told you to.
What is your favorite way to practice self care? 🌿

So true watching a lovely UA-cam episode
Reading books or my Bible, or eating dark chocolate! :)

I love self care videos! I think we always need little reminders to be kind to ourselves and practice self care 😊❤️
Yes!! Completely agree 💙☺️
I have been waking up early in the morning to go for a walk and watch the sunrise! It is so calming and great to get some exercise. Lovely video ❤️

So true, it seems like there just isn't enough time in a day sometimes.
Yes!! I definitely think that we should all think of self-care a priority more than we do 💙
Self care really makes a huge positive difference! Crazy, but, healthy boundaries are some of the best self care. 😊
Oooh yes that’s a good one! Healthy boundaries and learning to say no too are incredibly important 💙
making a good breakfast, taking a bath, having tea with a sweet cake, reading a novel, sleeping early and waking-up slowly, breathing when I go for walk, surrounding myself with +++ people
Love all of these! And surrounding yourself with people you love is huge!
This video is super helpful for me

Jeg synes også at hun fanger konceptet rigtig fint! Hun er hyggelig at se på og lytte til. :)
That’s awesome! And it definitely is a fun trend 💙
The shirt you got from me off of Poshmark made it into a video! Wow, So cool! Hope you are well. :)
Yep!! I love it too ☺️💙
Thank you. It's really hard to look after self these days, especially in this era when everything is fast and people expect you to keep moving so having this to remind me is so nice. :>
Spending time with my dog and cats are so important. I sometimes get so busy I don't make time for my fur babies besides basic care.
This is a great video ♡.
Thanks!!💙
I made blueberry cobbler yesterday. Even though the biscuits failed it was still great.
Kathy B.
P. S. These are all good tips.
I have my alarm clock set to a specific radio station that I wake up to instead of the loud ring that could cause a heart attack.
That’s a great idea ☺️
Excellent video
💙💙💙
i love all the positive , your doing a great job ; ]
Thanks! 💙

All really good ideas I saw was it on Pinterest instead of taking a bubble bath with green tea bags and relax in those and it's natural♡.
That’s a cool idea!

Pets are the best ❤️
That’s so awesome ☺️
Where is your teapot from?
My fiancé and I both work overnight so we have to especially practice self care. It is hard to get quality sleep in our apartment while everyone else is awake and stomping around and people are doing yard work etc. Thanks for the video!!
Love your perspective on that! Totally agree that in your situation it’s especially important! 💙
Love how original these ideas were! I also need time to slowly wake up and chill in bed for a bit, but I've been so reluctant to wake up earlier 🙈
Thanks girl! 💙 And waking up earlier definitely takes a bit of practice but it’s so worth it!!

I cannot understand without subtitles! Could you activate subtitles, automatic captioning or something? Thank you :)

For sure!! It’s really just the simple things that hugely increase our quality of life 💙
@@AshlynneEatonOne could say that the beauty of life comes from simple things.
A nice hot shower to wash off the day!
Love this one!!
great video

I know a lot of people who live doing that!
If you’re using them internally or ingesting them, make sure you’re under the care of a qualified professional and not just doing it because salesperson told you to.
7:06 is that a sock? lol
Yes 😂
❤
I have been going to bed late because my fiance goes to sleep late and I ended up to so bad lol
If you can’t afford a massage, try to remember to massage your own feet once a day. It helps!!
Love this advice! 💙
Can’t take credit. It was Yoga with Adrienne channel where I learned that. But thank you!
3:31 did ... did she ...NO. Did she just... GO TO BET EITH JEANS?!?!??
I want to take shower, but it can't stand me
Great video! I love all the ideas.
Thanks!! 💙
