This song actually really helped be understand Lucas better. Like, the things he experienced during the war were frightening but the loneliness is what really seems to effect him, both from missing the people he spent so much time alongside and the fact that nobody believes him about the things he says he saw during the war. His association with radios makes a lot of sense when it comes to this as well. Not just the fact that he was a radioman but even after the war his tinkering with radios and stuff. Plus the fact that the Flash is quite literally a radio tower with a sniper, which makes sense since he learned to use a sniper from his buddies during the war.

@@chakradarrat8832 I know I'm replying 4 months later sorry. But in Lucas's tape there are multiple hidden 4 foot poles next to tents, that contain Lucas's war story that he was going to tell Desmond at the start of the tape. In short, Lucas was in Vietnam and was with his sniper friend when they got into an ambush. Lucas then called for support on his radio, and thought a jet sprayed them all with agent orange, which was agent rainbow, everyone including the enemies. End up hallucinating from agent rainbow, Lucas hallucinates monsters and ends up shooting his hallucination which was actually his sniper friend. After the fight he told everyone about what happened but no one believed him. He finds a vietnam pow and confirms that the events were real. The military ends up sending lucas back to the states on pretense of not mentally fit, since he keeps mentioning the event. He ends up dismissed by everyone such as his friends, VA, other therapists, and veteran support groups. So he searches for clues of agent rainbow. Which leads him to the events of the game to Desmond.
You know, I was listening to this in-game, and something came to my mind: 0:50 "And the drummer plays a beat too long" could possibly refer to the sound a gun does, which I personally think because of the song saying that the song starts to fall appart due to it, and it soon says that "by show of hands, the group disbands, and they won't be back by popular demand" would mean that they all died, thus "deciding" to disband the group because most (literally everyone but Lucas) members literally cannot decide to continuing being part of the band This would go along with one of the first things you see in his cabin is words saying something like "all my friends are dead" written on the walls if you see with the mirror piece Edit: Found a little drum on Lucas' cabin, which pretty much confirms he's the drummer he's talking about

Still a bit confused by Lucas' voice. Everyone says he's an old soldier, but sounds super young. Other than that, he's such a lovable character. He's been through way more than all the rest but still carries on living and believing in himself even though no one else does.
He sounds like an old soldier in game though. 4 of 6 songs are sung by the people who voiced the character in game, with this one and ,,Is it me" being the exceptions. Maybe it's because Lucas is living in his past and this past haunts him, and even his song is sung by him from the past. And maybe because the voice actor for Lucas can't sing and they chose a different person to sing a song.
I think in the files found in Desmond's office it says he's in his mid to late 50s? My guess is the reason they have a different voice is cause Lucas' VA couldn't sing. The theory that this is supposed to be Lucas from the past is also viable, but that's still just a theory.
God it's been who knows? Maybe 8 months since I've found this game, it's honestly one of the best games I've ever had the chance see. I really wished this game got more recognition, but for now, I think I can rest easy that it at least exists, and people love it
Having recently been told that a good friend of mine passed away suddenly, this song, which I already considered heartbreaking when I played the game, hits extra hard right now. But listening to it with that in mind is very cathartic. So thank you for putting to music some of the thoughts I am having right now.
I would have never liked a song like this before. "Is it me?" Appeals to me the most, I'm trying to beat that part of the game these pieces were made for as a matter of fact. I'm enjoying the game so far, just find it challenging in the action spots. I discovered "The Living Tombstone" before I discovered the game. You guys are awesome for sharing your music freely on UA-cam after the games release. That said, the game is great. I love the puzzles, and the art, and the story as it unfolds. Hearing the music theme for each scenario gives me more heart to beat the stage I'm in and experience the next patient's troubles. Thank you.
The best song of In sound Mind! Alternative-vibe show how Lucas see everything's falling, in tape 4, the best part of game. Spoiler : This song is about Lucas, patient and friend of Desmond (Main Character), war veteran who has PTSD after losing all his hope and his friends in the war but he have to be involve with Desmond, the main cause of this game story.
This song reminds me of how me and my friends became distant and longer talk to each other. At first I was confused on why it was happening and then I realized i was pushing myself away not knowing it was happening.

And the sad thing is every time I hear this song on loop, it makes me think, why this world is the way it is. Everyone cares about their own problems, governments create laws to solve local problems, but what are they doing to stop these wars.

Real shame this game is so underrated, I feel like they were clearly hoping for a sequel considering the ending of the game, but I can’t see that happening now since it’s still not such a well - known game. I would’ve loved to see where Lucas would come in during a sequel aswell, possibly along with Allen
That's song about Lucas Cole and his story. As his monster form, The Flash. He has PTSD (Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder) after losing friends and hope even his late best friend, Wheeler while nobody believes him until Desmond believes him when after listening Lucas' records on the forest. His notes was green ink writing on the papers mostly his yellow note. According to lyrics, he was drummer of his former band which he has drum on his cabin as he created his song.
This is what it feels like when all your friends slowly drift apart and you just don’t realize until it’s to late and you haven’t talked in months and your all alone other than maybe 1 friend.
This one is my favorite. Really caught me by surprise, the lyrics are so so hopeful and forlorn, you can feel how people’s lives got ripped away by their government’s choices and actions. These people banded together and were going to support each other forever. But then, they came knocking, and the boys got taken away. I just love the nuance and care and real sense that was put into this song. I feel heavily for those who were taken to war…just to lose everything.
I love how much this song is lucas, like i get that the song is supposed to be about him but it genuinely sounds like lucas himself singing about his pains and im all here for it
i think it's really notable how this song specifically correlates so much to the actual game and has deep interpretation for example in the lyrics, "the drummer plays a beat too long" lucas could be the drummer; in his cabin pre-tape you find something that looks like a hand drum or a tambourine (kinda a drum, just a stretch), therefore he could have caused the "song" and therefore the "group" to fall apart, said group who may have been his buddies in the war he was in, and the song being a battle, interpretation in another way one member or lucas himself may have hesitated too long on a decision in battle (such as pulling a trigger or really just calling in the horrors of a napalm strike) which could have been a butterfly effect causing the group to disband, a third interpretation being one member being affected by agent rainbow too much that they fuck something up, leaving again to the disband of the group (i yapped way too much on some tambourines in a cabin damn) "box full of toys and memorabilia" again, in the pre-tape cabin there's a chest that you unlock with a vinyl, ammo, some papers (though i don't remember what the papers are), etc "jobs for eachother" lucas got a job as a state park keeper post-service "im flashing, flashing back" the flash enemy in the game, can be interpreted as the flash on combat or gunfire "everyone's crashing" again, the war causing casualties in the group lucas was in or the effects of agent rainbow kicked in like damn tlt did the song so good with so many references to the game and areas of interpretation
This song and breezeblocks by alt-j had a part on the creation of a PC I needed to a campaign I'm entering this month, thank you for the inspiration to write!
This song reminds me of my grandpa every time I hear it since he was a fighter pilot back in the Korean War. It’s comforting in a way, like I have a piece of him always with me
[Spoilers for In Sound Mind] Personally, out of all 5 tapes Lucas' one is the most interesting. Not only the character seems the most 'alive', but the way we find parts of the tape in the forest just makes you go search for them. That's what engaged the most as well as the palette of the whole chapter
@@ottodavis-octane3839 u right i didn't count him in bcuz he's unconscious but someone else talk to me about how Allen are maybe still alive in his mind so i'll retract my previous statement. Allen and Lucas still alive. until then if there's a chance, i'll wait for in sound mind 2.
i keep coming here to listen to this over and over. all i have to say is, i feel so sad listening to this. and i can't stop crying. i hope there will be a sequel for the game. i'm so curious on what's gonna happen. i really recommend everyone to check out the game. and i also wish to hear the alternative version of every song from this game.. i really like the version of this song played in the radio. i'm talking too much but god fictional characters just made me sad.
@@vaslea0449 this is me with everyone. but the one i practically feel for the most is Max, Allen and Lucas. they're just.. i related to them in a way and to me, it hits harder and makes me so emotional. you could even catch me sobbing at 5am for no reason ✌️😭
I can't even imagine or ever will imagine the true feelings of PTSD but the game gives me a fantastic visual of how it may occur with like the example of the party and how a normal balloon pop my just startle the "normal" person but can be a trigger to someone who suffers from PTSD putting them back into battle. With the song as well just from what I understand it would had to have been devastating to lose your friends from a helicopter crash and the only one surviving or either you witnessed it and in hopes of survival you used your flashlight to signal them but never got an response via raido or flashlight, but deep down you just didn't want to give up. With this just being a videogame or used in a videogame, it aids my support in the troops who come home
PTSD rips you apart if you let it, I have both given and self inflicted PTSD, but.. I live with it, there may be many things telling me to end the pain, but hey when you're like me and need to stay here to take care of your people and build a career, you never let the voices take over.

This is what it feels like when all your friends slowly drift apart and you just don’t realize until it’s to late and you haven’t talked in months and your all alone other than maybe 1 friend.
your music will really be a legacy given to all the internet.
In sound mind was a fucking masterpiece. An underrated masterpiece
This is my favorite from the OSTs you've posted for this game, super good
Fascinating... The lyrics and the way you sing it really make this feel like an extra track on the Rise and Fall of Ziggy Stardust... very cool.
The vibiest bop I've ever heard in my whole life
This song works so well on its own though. I genuinely love it.
I love how much this song is lucas, like i get that the song is supposed to be about him but it genuinely sounds like lucas himself singing about his pains and im all here for it
at 2AM looking for *BEANS*
I hope you have find them xD
HAHHA
legend says they are still searching for *BEANS*
@@nekjottiit’s 2023 the joke was funny a year ago not now
i've been feeling terrible lately but this made me smile. thanks
i think it's really notable how this song specifically correlates so much to the actual game and has deep interpretation
for example in the lyrics,
"the drummer plays a beat too long" lucas could be the drummer; in his cabin pre-tape you find something that looks like a hand drum or a tambourine (kinda a drum, just a stretch), therefore he could have caused the "song" and therefore the "group" to fall apart, said group who may have been his buddies in the war he was in, and the song being a battle, interpretation in another way one member or lucas himself may have hesitated too long on a decision in battle (such as pulling a trigger or really just calling in the horrors of a napalm strike) which could have been a butterfly effect causing the group to disband, a third interpretation being one member being affected by agent rainbow too much that they fuck something up, leaving again to the disband of the group (i yapped way too much on some tambourines in a cabin damn)
"box full of toys and memorabilia" again, in the pre-tape cabin there's a chest that you unlock with a vinyl, ammo, some papers (though i don't remember what the papers are), etc
"jobs for eachother" lucas got a job as a state park keeper post-service
"im flashing, flashing back" the flash enemy in the game, can be interpreted as the flash on combat or gunfire
"everyone's crashing" again, the war causing casualties in the group lucas was in or the effects of agent rainbow kicked in
like damn tlt did the song so good with so many references to the game and areas of interpretation
This song and breezeblocks by alt-j had a part on the creation of a PC I needed to a campaign I'm entering this month, thank you for the inspiration to write!
Me and the Boys boutta have a dramatic fallout before going through our character arcs, healing and getting back together as homies.
I initially thought this was a take on the "me and the boys at 3 am looking for beans" meme, but I didn't expect a masterpiece like DAMN
These songs never fail to amaze me tbh. Been loving the In Sound Mind songs 💙💙💙
Congrats with 1 million on this masterpiece! Totally deserves more
Man TLT never seces to amaze me.
Everytime they come out with a song I fall in love all over again with their music.
Monophobia-A fear of being alone.
It’s ptsd
@@deeanncurrey1613 Just saying what it felt like to me. I know it's ptsd :>
This song deserves so much more attention I love it!!!!✨💫⭐️🌟

And game is based on.
Banger!! I’m going to get this game today, thanks for making epic music tlt
Esta chida la canción, The Living Limbstone sigue haciendo buena música xd
This song reminds me of my grandpa every time I hear it since he was a fighter pilot back in the Korean War. It’s comforting in a way, like I have a piece of him always with me
I really really hope theirs going to be a sequel that ending needs to go on
It's so addictive omfg
I'm scared of the future, I don't want to be away from my friends, I don't want to be without these idiots
This is my favorite level
Not a bad choice, Max’s level is my favorite, 2nd goes to this one
Tlt music Is either the most chill or the most luloud and cool song
this absolute banger deserves more atention, this alone got me hyped for in sound
I love the rock instrumental of this that plays when the boss from this level first shows up at the house
I always seem to find good music through games. This reminds me of the good old 80's where music was simply great. Those guys are so talented!!!!
I LOVE THIS SONGGG
this is probably the chillest song TLT has
me and the boys will listen to this when we're outside at midnight
I love this. It reminds me of cavetown but I really enjoy this song.
This feels like the last day of school.
[Spoilers for In Sound Mind]
Personally, out of all 5 tapes Lucas' one is the most interesting. Not only the character seems the most 'alive', but the way we find parts of the tape in the forest just makes you go search for them. That's what engaged the most as well as the palette of the whole chapter
truth be told aren't Lucas the only one that is alive and still there? it kinda makes sense yknow lol
@@soupfried Allen is also technically alive, but he's in a coma
@@ottodavis-octane3839 u right i didn't count him in bcuz he's unconscious but someone else talk to me about how Allen are maybe still alive in his mind so i'll retract my previous statement.
Allen and Lucas still alive. until then if there's a chance, i'll wait for in sound mind 2.
He's also the most sane patient to me
I know this is an older thread but what happened to Max? Cause I get he’s dead but what happened?
This the perfect song when cruising through the city at night or at dawn while watching the sun set with the bois
This is pretty calming
Some high concepts, nice to listen to it.
Si alguna vez llego a crear un juego, me encantaria que estos genios crearan la música.
Son como dirían algunos, tremendos

I never wanted a second part of a game so badly before... i just love this
Me and the boys is listening to me and the boys
i keep coming here to listen to this over and over. all i have to say is, i feel so sad listening to this. and i can't stop crying. i hope there will be a sequel for the game. i'm so curious on what's gonna happen. i really recommend everyone to check out the game. and i also wish to hear the alternative version of every song from this game.. i really like the version of this song played in the radio. i'm talking too much but god fictional characters just made me sad.
This is me whenever I listen to Max's
@@vaslea0449 this is me with everyone. but the one i practically feel for the most is Max, Allen and Lucas. they're just.. i related to them in a way and to me, it hits harder and makes me so emotional. you could even catch me sobbing at 5am for no reason ✌️😭
beautiful, as always
Expected:me and the boys
Reality:me and the boys
Me:me and my thoughts
This song hits hard
It has amazing vibe and gorgeous melody
Wtf. Why is this so great.
Also, this is the first song I've ever found that sounds similar to Tranquility Base Hotel and Casino.
ooo this sounds good
I can't even imagine or ever will imagine the true feelings of PTSD but the game gives me a fantastic visual of how it may occur with like the example of the party and how a normal balloon pop my just startle the "normal" person but can be a trigger to someone who suffers from PTSD putting them back into battle.
Have been listenin to ewery song trough the game as i finished the tapes, and i must say all of them are bangers, cant even chose the fav one, good job The Living tombstone
Very good music as always! I love this one.
Lucas Cole was Tritagonist of In Sound Mind, he exploring for Mayer Employees as he researching about them until he found out as main cause of the game. He has brain waves as mind communicate as he was closest friend and fourth patient of Dr. Desmond Wales. Secretly, Lucas was close relationship to Rosemary and best relationship to Wheeler and then Desmond.
whose Wheeler?
@@soupfried Lucas' Best Friend who use be a sniper while Lucas doing be a radio operator. Then Wheeler was died by Lucas used a sniper which Lucas feeling sad to Wheeler as he through him for his shadow because Agent Rainbow did. For misrepresentation.
