Once again Lucy and Martha Thomas have slayed another pair of duets. If you aren't feeling the Christmas feelings after these two performances, check your pulse.
Thank you for your reaction. Lucy and Martha are definitely the most beautiful duo there is. I've never heard anything better in my life. It's pure perfection.
I love watching your reactions to our Lucy and Martha and your spot on with Martha she has lost that shyness and her voice keeps getting better, her sister well what can anybody say that pays credit to such an amazing girl. Oh I think your wife's right this is by far the best version of this song by anybody period. Believe me when I say the addiction is real very real.😊 Happy Christmas to you both.
I've listened to these two songs many times by Lucy and Martha and it still baffles me how these two young ladies produce this magical sound when they harmonise. Martha's ability to harmonise as an eleven year old is so impressive that most adults find difficult to pull off. Briliant reaction, once again, most entertaining, thanks.
Two beautiful duets from the young ladies. The first high note in Mary Did You Know catches many by surprise but I like the way Lucy looks around towards the people off screen as if to say “Told you I would hit it”. Also in this duet it’s great to see Martha being more expressive with her arms, as she settles into the song. When it comes to harmonising it’s Martha the Magnificent for me. Spot on every time. If you want another Christmas song there is a Lucy solo of Have yourself a merry little Christmas. For a song in which Lucy displays raw emotion in her vocals and her expressions then Run to You (Whitney Houston/The Bodyguard) is a must watch, recorded I believe when Lucy was 17. Tissues ready for that one Cindy (apologies if you spell your name differently x). Love your reactions. ❤ Footnote. If you watch Run to You, you will hear Lucy talking at the end.
The first time I ever saw them sing “Mary Did You Know?,” and each subsequent viewing of it, I’ve been very convinced that both girls, especially Martha, are actually displaying a genuine attitude of worship as revealed by their arm movements and their gestures.
Age is irevinlent for me if you have been blessed with vocals like this, and lucy and martha certainly have its a great time for us the listener, to get to experience such wonderful singers. Nice one, Ryan and Cindy 👏👌
Thank you for the wonderful reactions. What can be said about these two angelic voices. They never disappoint and they can just sing the lights out. Merry Christmas to you and yours. Please stay safe, healthy, and free.
Great reactions Ryan and Cindy! Wow! Thank you so much for playing and reacting to these two stunning performances! Lucy and Martha caused continuous involuntary "goosies" and trembling during both performances!! God blessed Lucy and Martha with beautiful, angelic voices and Lucy and Martha have blessed the world with their heavenly harmonizing! "O HOLY NIGHT" has long been my favorite Christmas song and Lucy and Martha perform it the best! I agree with Cindy. This is the best performance of "MARY DID YOU KNOW" hands down. In fact this version is the most beautiful harmonizing duet that I have ever heard! Best regards, Hopelessly Addicted in Arizona
Magical!,the way Lucy & Martha sing as one is outstanding!,& Lucy's vibrato at the end is glorious, there's knowone better if even as good!,we are blessed to have Lucy/Lucy& Martha in our lives, they make the world a better place to be!😊
Now why in the world would you assume that I had already listened to these two songs? Certainly I have only listened to each a few dozen times! Great reaction! The Thomas sisters set a new standard for both songs as far as I am concerned. Cindy, your comments about their learning how to read one another to change notes comes from much practice and singing together. Hope that I one day get to hear your daughters sing together as I am certain that it is beautiful. You also heard the polyphonics in ‘Mary Did You Know’ from Martha. As far as which part who sings, it is difficult to hear them sing a duet and know the answer immediately. They have the talent to switch and their voices are less different than in years past. I thought like you both the first time that I heard ‘Silent Night’ with you both. Listening several more times made me believe that we were amiss. Fans tend to want everything correct but are sometimes come across a little less than kindly. Cindy, Ryan, and myself very much like Lucy and Martha as do her fans. We all support these amazing young women. Merry Christmas Cindy and Ryan!
Hello Cindy, Hello Ryan, I hope you are both well, Lucy & Martha's covers of " O Holy Night " & " Mary Did You Know " are two of the best Christmas Carols that are out there, the other is " Silent Night " which you have already done. I would just like to let you know that the " Overture " for Lucy Thomas " Rosie " has just been released om UA-cam 15 hours ago, it is on Lucy 's " Rosie " UA-cam Channel , it is well worth a look. Take care, Barbara. '
I found Lucy from watching Mat & Savanna in March of 2020. Lucy became my favorite artist. I love their version of this sone. But, please watch Mat & Savanna's version of Mary Didyou know, it is beautiful and truly different from any version I have ever heard. Thank you for you thoughtful reviews of Lucy and Martha!.
I don't want to take anything away from Martha because her performance is stellar on this song. But Lucy, my gosh! Have you ever heard anything more beautiful when Lucy goes into the stratosphere with her high notes. Most good singers would have to belt those notes and diminish the quality of the sound. But not a "great singer" like Lucy. She can stay in a mixed voice (chest and head) and make them sound astonishing beautiful. Then add in Martha's harmony support and those are just divine. From heaven for sure..sigh! Thanks for reacting guys. I and everyone I know truly enjoy your reactions to Lucy (and Martha). Just a little FYI....Supposedly, Martha dropped a little hint on her Instagram page that she may be doing her own solo. Now wouldn't that be something. I promise you, we all will make sure you are aware, if and when that drops. What did drop today however, was the "Rosie" overture that was played at the concert we just went to in London. It is a recording of the actual concert. It is a musical medley played by the 32 piece orchestra. It is beautiful. Probably not something you would want to react to because it is strictly an instrumental by the orchestra. But you could certainly check it out and you can see what was backing Lucy when she sang. Very magical, especially if you recognize each "Rosie" song in the Medley. The word is, more will be coming from the concert soon. Here is the link to the overture. ua-cam.com/video/gJMAdaBSPKI/v-deo.htmlsi=OwXCftk1T_q5szg2
Hello Cindy, Ryan, next song please, "You Rise Me Up." Lucy 16 and Martha 11, the 3rd duet they recorded. This has probably brought more tears than any of their duets. Being you have 2 daughters with a similar age split, this version will touch your hearts. Please react, and Merry Christmas 🎄
It's interesting watching Martha locking in on Lucy watching her mouth and listening for her cue. She always has since her first song at 10 bit less obvious now but Lucy is clearly taking the lead. I am sure they practice for fun as well it becomes second nature. Their Xmas hit this year is Silent Night. Martha's voice is settling and strengthening beautifully. at 15y
@@TouchyReactionsFunny you mentioned road trip. Lucy and her mum recorded a video for UA-cam doing a little karaoke as they were driving along . The amusing part is when Lucy belted out her high note, it seemed to knock the phone off of the dash board. A very abrupt ending.
Great reaction! Their rendition of Silent Night which was recently dropped is mesmerizing please give a reaction to these two angles singing it.CheersT
Thanks for the react to Lucy and Martha I have followed them for years and you could and their just released SILENT NIGHT, a new release at 15 20 years old. while in the sprit there is a new group, siblings LIFE IN 3D, Daylon,23 Daura 21 and Fevon 17 that sing 3 part harmony and they also do solo's Dayra the sister this am released THE CHRISTMAS SONG and 2 weeks ago the trio released LITTLE DRUMMER BOY, last year Daura and Daylon Dueted CHILD IN A MANAGER, all stunning check em out they have 43 songs recorded in the last 2 years and well worth a listen for the holiday season !!!! Not knowing much about music, I don't really understand the intricacy of singing a duet. All I know is that they were really good.
