Thanks for sharing your ideas. I've some disabilities and have never played accordian, but use music software I'd like to control via a MIDI piano accordian keyboard. I'd like at least 3 octaves of piano keyboard - and a re-designed bass/chord button left side. I'm used to making 'free' chord shapes with inversions, added 'blues' sevenths etc. If this were MIDI-ed to Cubase etc. a program could interpret a combination of [2] buttons for various chords instead of one button for each chord. A third button could be used for different chord inversions. I'm not sure if Cubase now allows for re-tuning the piano keyboard notes into middle-eastern and Indian scalings etc. [Chords would also need to be adjusted for harmonious intervals.] at the flick of a switch to change tunings within a composition. It would be so cool to have a light-weight accordian controller to stand and move about like most instruments. [I like bigband and orchestral dance music, latin, african, jazz, and other ethnic rythms.]
Looking at this, I am astonished at the skill, knowledge and talent that was required to put this together and then play it. You may be the person Elon Musk is looking for to sort his Starship glitches.
Sort of, depends what you mean by Arduino. It’s a Raspberry Pi Pico and I’m using Earle Philhower’s implementation of the Arduino API, but I switched to PlatformIO recently so I’m not using the Arduino IDE anymore.
👏👏👏 Bravo 🎼🇩🇪💃 Musik mit Kunst 🫶👍verbunden. Sehe ich da ein Novation MIDI Keyboard? ☝️ Ein Midi Akkordeon ist groß , schwer, teuer. Dieses Gerät ist perfekt. ( Klein , leicht) . Man kann es überall mitnehmen. Schade das es kein Button Keyboard ( Bass Seite) zu kaufen gibt. Ich möchte das auch haben , aber mit mehr Bässen !!!
Thank you! Yes, it's a Novation Launchkey Mini mk3. Next time I build something, I think I will use a different keyboard, though, because I don't like that the lowest note is C.
@Brian Slesinsky ua-cam.com/video/VTC_R_05bAo/v-deo.html here's a video I found on UA-cam. This guy calls them triple bellow shakes, triple ricochet bellow shakes, and quadruple shakes.
@@issacledesma3463 Okay, based on that lesson, I think that if I get a basic bellows shake working then the triple shake will likely work too. This is largely a matter of responsiveness.
I haven't written a full report, but I updated the description of this video with links to source code and design files. If you have any specific questions, I can add more detail.
@@skybrian This is really cool. The UA-cam algo recommended me this because I watched the Commodore 64 accordion video that came out recently. I have tried playing accordion kontakt libraries using expression wheels and it doesn't come out well. This is a leap forward. I like how this looks. Even better, it sounds realistic. Are you generating audio on the PC VST? What plugin or library?
@@WarrenPostma For this track I used Logic Pro. I used samples from my real accordion (using Sampler) and added some reverb using ChromaVerb. I've also tried playing the same samples using VCV Rack and the SFZ Player component and that also works.
It looks so cool!! I Would LOVE a in deept instruction about how to make one!! Wauw!
Great work! The rotating wheel is mesmerizing in a way that fits the music perfectly.
I've been working on concepts to make myself a midi accordion and didn't even consider a rotating wheel! Lovely demonstration as well!
What a neat electronic accordion, the bellow controller looks really responsive and accurate, cool stuff.
How beautiful! Technology meets art!
Awesome! Would love to make one
Are you kidding me?? Amazing!!!

I like the steam-punkish vibe the wind controller brings.
this is genuinely so cool! great job
I wanta to buy one from you! you are so creative!
@@rafaella9700 It makes a good demo but it's not really good enough to play regularly (or sell).
Om Shanti 🎼
Bravo!
Filé parceiro show ,faz mais vídeos com essa acordeão diferenciada , sou do Brasil

Wow living the seampunk dream. Love the design it seems just a litle bit bendy on the "bass shaft". Are you using arduino for the controler?

Should I call it steampunk? Should I call it cyberpunk?😂❤
Fantastic anyway
i so wish such a thing existed for the general public so i can practice without pissing off my neighbours lol

Mas prefiro a original..
This is really cool, quick question, would you still be able to do advanced techniques? specifically, triplets that require rapid in and out motions?
I haven't tried but I think I could make bellows shakes work. (I haven't practiced them with a regular accordion.)
@Brian Slesinsky thank you for your reply. Just curious, would the arduino, if using one, need special coding for something like triplets?
@@issacledesma3463 I don't know what kind of triplets you mean. Could you find an example?

Сколько стоит этот аккордеон?
It's a custom-built prototype and not available for purchase, sorry.
