We’ve been doing something like this intuitively… but my child was overwhelmed with *task-switching*… I decided to try one subject a day - 3 hrs (6x a week) which allows us to take time off whenever we want bc we have extra days in the bank. ONE subject a day, 10-15 min breaks after every hr or so. It is so much better, reminds me of college. Our mornings look like yours.. with recess in the afternoon-it’s a treat to be outside after doing all that intense work. Let me tell you… she gets 2x the work done in those 3hr blocks than a weeks worth of switching every hour (yes, if she wanted to, she can just do 3 days of school n that would be it.. but our goal is to get her in college early if possible). U gotta try different things in different seasons.. n pay attention when your kid is struggling… they may need something different.
Thank you for being the first video I was able to find that GOT TO THE POINT! Super appreciate your video!
@@lisajeanpatterson7722 I know that's important for us busy homeschool moms, so I try my best.
Love this! I'm all about a rhythm. We have a little of both schedule and rhythm in our home. It's needed for those extracurricular activities.
Yes extra curriculars is a good example necessary time tables.
We definitely block schedule generally. Flexibly I’m consistency is key.
Agreed!
I love the word atmosphere! That's what we want to create with our homeschool! ❤️
