Fantastic version. Spot on. One of my favorite Styx songs.
My favorite song has finally been played live. Now I can die a happy man.
awesome job on one of my favorite Wooden Nickel era Styx songs!
Damn, you guys nailed this. Always loved this song but haven't ever seen it performed live.
Very good cover. 👍👍💜🙏🇺🇸
nice job,well done
I would love if Styx played this live.
They did play it live back in 1976
Wow!...This is amazing! And I love that they do everything including some of the great Wooden Nickle tunes which are great! Better than whats left as STYX as a band at this point
Such a great song
The band sounds great BUT, the drummer needs to lose the splash. Way over-used and it is a crappy sounding splash cymbal. He's good otherwise. Good to see young guys enjoying this music! Sorry about the criticism but you guys rock!
Agreed!...However I think your referring to the China cymbal which has that full brash sound. I only say that because Im a drummer and have one on my kit and it is way overplayed as your mentioned...He he he...The splash is a small cymbal (6" to 10" approx) which is much less intrusive and I have one of those as well! 8^) Its good to know there are other folks out there like yourself that appreciate good music and STYX is the best in my opinion!
Couldn't agree more, especially since I'm also a drummer....LOSE THE CHINA CYMBAL! In terms of this great tribute band, I am just so very impressed! Wooden Nickel songs!!!! Thank you so much! The level of talent, musicianship and vocal tessitura of OWE in order to perform many of these STYX songs, especially from their Wooden Nickel days, is daunting but you guys are excelling and would make all the members of STYX past and present very proud!
Drummer overplay as hell
I don't think I have ever heard a cover band attempt this song. This is a rather ambitious tune, even for a tribute band. Kudos to you for trying, and for pulling it off! Great job. I would agree with some of the other comments about the china cymbal. Way overused, way too obnoxious for this song. I would also say the keyboard player should not 'spin' so much. It's a bit distracting and takes your attention away from the other guys in the band. It's a cool gimmick, for sure. When you are singing a song or taking a keyboard solo, spin away. When the guitar players are shredding a nice double-ride, STAND STILL and play your part.
Pretty cool, not the greatest mix though.
