Oxford Students React is back!! We react to, break down, and discuss K-Pop from our backgrounds as Linguistics and East Asian Studies majors at the University of Oxford!

The red lip, high heels and things they say no to are those societal standards set especially in Asia on women to be more feminine. They are saying no those and if you see the correct lyrics they say "I will do what I want, and you can't tell me what to do". Also if you observe in the music video they are in display glass cases in the beginning like mannequins and also the second girl who appears in the MV at first sits with her legs crossed but then she opens her leg and lets it swing freely. This shows how women are told what to wear, how to sit, how to act etc.
This is almost a feminist anthem in disguise.
