  • After some people reached out to me asking about the temperature and conditions of my last ice test, I decided to turn up the heat! Leaving the cooler in a hot vehicle for 3 days/60 hours was definitely harder on the contents then the last video but this has been the toughest test for the Yeti so far. Please enjoy the video!

    Great review. Still, I think Yeti overcharges for their products. They only seem to discount unpopular colours (like purple).

      Definitely expensive, but you pay for quality thats for sure!

      Can't really argue, although I will say I work on a fishing boat and I've seen many of 10+ year old yetis with absolutely nothing wrong with them.
      Your igloo or cheaper cooler ain't gonna outlast a yeti.
      You might be over paying for the name, but it's still the best option.

      In the long run the yeti will
      Last. I had my yeti for about 9-10years
      It’s a long term goal
      Pay 200-500 one time!
      Not $80 every other year

    Of all the yeti tests I’d seen on YT pre chilling dos the trick. You followed the instructions to pre chill and chill items and it performed.

      You got it my friend! If your gonna spend the money might as well make sure it performs the way it supposed to!

    Fabulous cooler and I have owned many Yeti’s. I also call this Roadie my favorite Yeti ever! Pro Tip: Add a 4 pound frozen Yeti Ice to the bottom of the pre-chilled cooler and it will turbo charge your added ice and buy you another 1-2 days depending on the time of the year. You can go with a pair of 2 pound Yeti Ice side by side but I prefer the larger 4 pound option and it’s cheaper than buying a pair of 2 pounders.

      I think most people buy the yeti and don't really do the homework, I prechill mine also, use the 4 pound yeti ice block, I put a layer of ice on the block, then the beverages, then another layer of ice, it easily last 4 to 5 days

      I do the same! The 4 lb Yeti Ice on the bottom gives you at least another day of ice retention.

    Just got my roadie in highlands olive and love it. Your reviews were by far the most helpful! Thanks!

      Nice pickup with the Highlands Olive. Just grabbed the Camp Green on sale in the roadie 24 and Tundra 35

      @j_riv_23 if you grab the large yeti ice, it can hold ice in a car on a 90-degree day for 3 days. Highly recommend that combo

    Nice review. I have the rodie 24 in the harvest red color. Haven't used it yet so it's good to see the ice retention could last that long in those conditions.

      Your gonna love it! I use mine every weekend and I only ever have to put ice in it once per use. Thanks for watching, cheers!

    That's impressive ,even in a hot vehicle it stays cool after 3 days , sure puts the old coleman to shame , Are those coolers available at a Canadian retailer ? or is online the best way to get them

    • @deadendoutdoors
      @deadendoutdoors  3 роки тому +2

      I know i was very impressed with its performance! They are available in larger retail locations like bass pro and cabelas. Some smaller outdoors stores sell Yeti products as well. Best to call around and ask!

    What’s the easiest way to drain the water with stuff inside to add more ice

    • @deadendoutdoors
      @deadendoutdoors  2 роки тому +1

      Probably leave the lid closed just enough to hold the ice in and let the water pour out. Not having a drain plug is probably the only negative about it. Dont let that be the deciding factor though, best cooler I have ever owned.

    Got the tan color at REI for 180 idk if that’s a steal.
