I've been using one for around 10 years! I have a more modern, mirorless, Sony A7 but The 60D still always comes with me! It's so reliable... more mechanical than the modern Sony and you can "feel" what you're doing more. The battery life is still amazing. VIDEO - It does NOT have any video autofocus at all... but I STILL use it for mounted filming. I've filmed music videos in the last year which still use footage from my 60D. Yes it is outdated. But it will do far more than a beginner photographer/videographer needs.
60D is a brilliant little camera. Love shooting it with prime lenses, usually 24, 35, or 50mm. Ive put thousands of images through mine over the years.
Got my 60D, to see the live view on the screen hit the camera button with the red dot next to it. Love this camera!! If you are looking to part from lenses hit me up.
@Aaditya Basnet Sigma or canon 50mm, as well as a decent 70-200mm zoom lense will get you most of the way there. Otherwise, the Canon 18-35mm is a great lense. 2nd hand options for all are way cheaper if you can get a well looked after one.
the 60D is a really good camera i have shot several weddings with them and many landscapes, its all about the glass. the live view button is next to viewfinder
I have had this camera for several years and love it. Still learning new things. I do wildlife so have two long lens and also some shorter ones. Great camera for just a hobby.
@@saadishaq1461what's your budget? If you want something under 100 then get a point and shoot or a rebel XT with an 18-55. For under 300 then that 60D and a 18-55 and 75-300. For under 500, get the 60d and a 17-50 2.8, a 50mm 1.8 and a 75-300. For under 1k the Sony a6000 and a sigma 30mm 1.4, 50mm 1.8 and a 55-210mm and 18-55 would be great. Can't help you with over 1k because there are so many options 😅
I was using this camera for 10+years with just the kit lens I just recently upgraded to the A7iii because of a few issues (it started to overheat corrupting data from shoots) but this little camera was 🔥 held me down
It’s still a good choice to buy the 60D. even if there aren’t many parts around, you can still find more bodies on the used market like eBay or marketplace. So if the body fails, you can still find another body. If not, you can upgrade the body, but still keep the lenses.
Just depends on your needs. If you NEED higher fps, 4k video, and faster burst mode, and the cost justifies the purchase, then by all means do it. But if your needs are met with a 60D, then spending extra won’t do much. Plus newer camera will mean buying new lenses from scratch which adds to the cost.
I got selected for an inter school photography contest coming up and all my photos i have taken till now are through a smartphone.. I need something good for a beginner and which could get me through the contest.. Is this worth the buy?
Any camera now days can be good. Even the older APS-C ones. It all depends on your composition, lens choice and color editing skills. Most cameras are more than capable enough to capture good photos, but when it boils down to it, choosing a camera that shoots RAW and has a good bitrate, will always beat out cameras that only shoot JPEG. I hope you win that contest Zoe!
Saying 18MP is only good enough for social media is not really a statement that a photographer would honestly say and claim to be knowledgeable sorry dude
@@prophetmichaelwilson I’m sure you can use it as a webcam using the canon software. There is a video on the CanonUSA UA-cam, so check it out. And buying this camera is still a good choice, so definitely go ahead and buy it. Hope it helps

I’m convinced, that is the perfect camera for me. Don’t need video and I’m a hobby photographer. I will make my purchase of the canon 60D.
I’m sure you’ll be happy with your purchase. 60D is perfect for hobby photography, especially if you pair it with a good lens.
Which lens will be perfect for the beginner in canon60D?
Bro what's your opinion now

To turn on live view, press the little camera looking button with the red dot next to it by your right thumb. Same spot on Canon DSLR series cameras.
It's really not difficult he's just slow 🥱

Can you please suggest me a camera and a lens for hobby?

I use the 60D for years to make Makros of my reptiles.
Impressive Pictures.
I don't even think about switching as long as it does the job.
That's the best way to be. As the saying goes "Don't fix it if it ain't broken"
You need to press the button on the right of the viewfinder with red dot on the side for the live view.
I just bought a new old stock Canon 70D. It holds up against the newest mirrorless. I use it for school shoots.
Your intro was actually entertaining. Thanks
Thank you!
I truly enjoyed this video.🍻 Breathtaking shots too.
Thank you!
I still use this camera for photos. Combined with a good lens, absolutely fine. Video not so much anymore.
What lens do you use with it

This review was so well put together. It helped me put a final decision on a hobby camera for myself. Thank you!
I’m so glad I could help. Hope you enjoy your camera!
To enter live mode push the record button
I still find myself reaching for mine over all my other cameras.
Yeap, you did influence my decision for good. Thanks Man
I’m glad it was helpful! Thanks for giving your time to watch the video
@@HammadxHassan my pleasure 😊

To the good old days
Live view slows the camera’s responsiveness
2:38 That's why you were never allowed to touch the camera when you were a kid lol
Yeah, parents made a good decision there
my 60D are on the way...from Bharain to KSA..
Congrats! Hope you enjoy it

Thanks for watching🙌🏽
Hi, is it ok to buy canon 60D since It's already faced out and if ever the camera has damage no avail parts on canon branch.

Hi . Nice video
If you are comparing with canon60d and sony a6000 which one you would recommend and why ?
Reply please.
A6000, newer, better low light, more megapixels for photos, more focus points, E-mount for all current Sony lenses and lighter/smaller
@@HammadxHassan but the battery life of A6000 is so much worse than 60D
Is it good for astrophotography?
Yes it’s fine for astrophotography. Just need the right lens.
Can I use 24-70 mm lense on 60D? I love my 60D but I think to upgrade lense
Yeah I’m sure you can use those lenses. Just make sure that you have an adapter if you’re using a DSLR lens on a mirrorless and vice versa.
there are a live view button.
Still have my canon 60da low shutter count 3000< constantly get asked to part with it.

Is it possible to buy used camera in Australia?
Yes. I usually look on eBay or Facebook market place. You can also find 2nd hand equipment at Ted’s and similar camera stores.
awesome video and audio quality, inshallah you'll have millions of subs soon
Thank you very much! InShaAllah
Is Cannon 200D better than 60D for photography

I sadly can't give you an advice but I'm rooting for your success. Been shooting only with smartphone too :(

Can you help me with one boss 🙏🙏🙏
Why publish a video on a camera you don’t know how to use? Shooting in live mode is explained in the quick start manual.
It was on but wasn’t working, so I said Oh well, i dont know.
Should I get this camera in 2022?
Yes. It’s still a great choice for the price.
