  • After nearly 3 years of development, I’ve finally been able to integrate self-moving tokens to this realistic replica. Not only do the tokens move by themselves but they also respond to the exact dice roll of the player in an interactive manner. The game also keeps track of who is trapped in the jungle, how many lives a player has left, and if a 5 or 8 is rolled to release a player from the jungle. Later I’ll make a longer video to show the full gameplay including self homing of the tokens before and after a game, as well as a winning and losing game. Currently I am working on making the motor noise quieter but this is the first working prototype.

    Okay, I gotta say, that is just absolutely amazing. It actually closely resemble on how it was in the movie. I would've loved to get my hands on that with everything showcased here. It is that fantastic. :)

    Very exciting to see. I would suggest maybe having a setting that would randomly play the Jumanji drums from time to time when the game is closed like in the movie. You can turn the setting on and off and control volume.
    Of course, I would buy this if you ever sell them.

      Thanks for your comment! Yes it needs a bit of optimization. I will post a new video soon with sound over the movement to hide the motor noise a bit.

    • @noemad5391
      @noemad5391 8 місяців тому +3

      It's Bluetooth controlled. However I tinkered with an idea where you have a dice with magnets on each side of varying strengths. And an electro magnet underneath to read the the magnetic pull and calculate the total of the dice

    Awesome job man! You should sell your idea to a major toy comany. Try getting in touch with Mattel or Hasbro and maybe one day they can mass produce Jumanji Boards. 👍

    Let me know if you can apply this to a noble collection replica and if so put up a link when it’ll be available for sale because I might consider modifying my replica from noble collection to do this since I’ve been fascinated by the jumanji board from the movie since I was a small child and even though I got my noble collection replica last year it does leave my birthday and maybe even Christmas present up to whatever switch game is coming out around said time and this year even though my 26th birthday was 4 days ago I still have to wait 10 more to get my birthday present that should be a hint to those who can do the math anyway I did subscribe when I discovered this video so I’ll be updated for next time

      This is probably not a DIY project for most people. Also, the playing field is custom machined so you wouldn’t be able to use the stock board.

    The pieces aren't moving the correct number of spaces..
    Second player rolled a 3 and it only moved 2 spaces.
    3rd player rolled a 5 but it only moved 4 spaces.
    4th player rolled a 9 but it only moved 7 spaces
    1st player's second turn rolled an 8 and it moved 10 spaces.
    Otherwise this is amazing
