Well, oddly enough, it's not that difficult to come up with this type of music. You just need to know how; that's what knowing music is all about. What makes THIS music so special is actually very simple: Byrd had GREAT TASTE in music. That's the secret formula: He knew how AND had great taste. It's easy to know how; but, having great taste and being able to make use of it will occur less often. Of course, the Tallis Scholars have something to do with it, too (wink, wink).
I had the absolute privilege of singing Tallis' Spem in Alium with the Tallis Scholars, an incredible experience. I truly did not know how amazingly in tune choral music can be until I heard them live. Remarkable
William Bird ( Londres 1539/1540-1623 Londres ) MASS FOR FIVE VOICES ( COMPLETE ) Sublime magnifique une pure merveille qui nous fait rêver d'un autre monde merci.
Like the first light of dawn, this music opens your eyes to new promises and to all the wonders of nature. Evocative of powers beyond observation, these pieces pull the strings of the heart, attract nostalgia and awaken the loves, the skinned lives and torpor of the sleeping watchmen💐💐
You can really feel how the composers of this era were experimenting with sound and musical phrase. It's almost like you can hear the fun that Byrd had when composing this.

A música do renascimento inglês impressiona pela beleza, pela harmonia e pela sofisticação tão simples e quase transparente. Audição da serenidade sofisticada da polifonia.

I think William Byrd the composer of this song was born in 1538. And he did die in 1623. He was 85 which is a really long time for that particular time period.
The specific year of Byrd's birth is uncertain. In his will, dated 15 November 1622, he describes himself as "in the 80th year of my age", suggesting a birthdate of 1542 or 1543. However a document dated 2 October 1598 written in his own hand states that he is "58 yeares or ther abouts", indicating an earlier birthdate of 1539 or 1540.
That just means "the world without British music is..." or possibly "the world without music is Britain", depending on where the macron goes but im confused what that has to do w rest of comment

Byrd and Tallis were geniuses.

this sounds good :-)
William Byrd - The Bells, Rosalinde Haas, harpsichord
BYRD William - Wolsey's Wilde (vers 1600)
Dona nobis pacem.
And I think Byrd's Ave Verum is much better than the more widely played Mozart composition
