I know this was over a year ago but every other ytuber I see who bleaches/colors their locs end up cutting them off because of damage. Can you post your routine to keep them healthy? I want to color mine pink (3yr locd)
Get yourself a drop cloth like painters use. A good canvas one to protect your floors. Second I have discovered that is is best to put lotion on all of my exposed skin when coloring my hair. I have found color in some pretty odd places. Finally my favorite color is red, and this is popping like a fire cracker 🧨

Was developer only used with the bleach? Or with the dye also? If so is that because the locs are already red? My hair is black currently would I bleach all my locs
She only used the developer with the bleach, I’ve seen another girl with long red locs, if you find her on here, she put developer in her color, she didn’t explain why, but I think it was to lighten the red. I don’t think it mattered if her locs were already red because she is lightening them. Ur second question is kinda confusing 😅
It also makes it lighter depending on how much, like last time I colored my hair, I added a new color and that new color overpowered the other two and made my ginger too dark, so I’ll probably add some this time to lighten it up, however, my roots were the perfect shade but my locs were WAY too dark, didn’t match, so idk what my roots will like this time. 🤞🏾
Hey love, what if you had some old red in and want to make your hair vibrant ahain with the red do you bleach the whole head again or hust the roots to a little down shaft?!

@@LifewithAbrea be careful bleaching over bleach it can cause hair loss, especially on locs. If you watch it while applying it over those spots it should be fine. But without being able to see the state your hair is already in I’m unable to say. Make sure to condition after you finish. Happy coloring ☺️

No just bleach the roots and put a semi permanent red down the shaft like adore intense or ruby red.

Why did you start with the bleach instead of just using red at once
You have to strip the pigment from the hair so the color will take
Its hard to dye black hair to red without using bleach.
