Nature = Freedom. Well said Jonny to take away the sours of off what trigger mental health will help us overcome this world sickness called metal health issues . Content as always out of this world. Always talk to someone when it is getting tough. Thanks for this eye-opening episode. The final moments in this episode say to all of us their is hope. Peace and love to all. Take care Jonny Taco
You’re so right about stress. And sleep loss (I’ve got sleep apnea too) WILL eventually destroy you. After many years as a Medic/Firefighter, the stress almost killed me. Getting out in nature has probably been the one thing that’s helped me the most. I hope you’re able to shake whatever it is that haunts you. We all have our demons.
Jonny, this is probably my favorite video of yours to date. I was not expecting this and it was just perfect! So maybe not the video I was expecting but the video I NEEDED! The message in this video was just perfect!
So awesome you did a video like this. I’ve been in the EMS/fire service for 16 yrs now and it took me a long time to find out how to repair my mental health. Going 4wheeling and being in nature helped calm my mind down. So much that I started a FB page for military and first responders to get together and all go out and enjoy the same peace I found in being out wheeling and camping. God bless brother thank you for your videos and sharing
There is just something about the outdoors that frees the mind! Truly agree. I found myself going down a rabbit hole of thoughts. When in nature or just outside my element I can not only think clearly but can feel the thoughts coming true. Starting to journal even if its a couple sentences just so i can document the journey.
I fully agree with your thoughts on this Jonny. I try to get out often for the same reasons. For me (independent HR consulting), longer trips are harder to plan for. It's just me for my business ... no work = no income. Occasionally, I'll work a quickie into a business trip - better than nothing.
Always put out great videos....but I'm a huge advocate for the outdoors being a great remedy for mental health. This video hits home! Nature is the best medicine.
Your videos are great, I watch them to get away from the rat race of working 6 days a week in south west Florida. Yes it’s “paradise “ here for sure. But it’s jamb packed with people and no real feel for nature. Because of your videos I’m getting a camper soon and will be heading up north as much as I can to get away from it all and get some nature healing. Thanks for all your hard work making these videos! 👏👏🙏
6 days a week is brutal. Reminds me I have a video coming up talks about escaping the rat race. Florida is busy right like L.A. that’s so cool to hear you’re getting a camper! What kind do you know yet? You guys have some cool forests up north right? Love putting the videos out. 👊🏻😎
Have you heard about Forest Bathing or Forest Therapy? If you do a google search for it in your area I’m sure something will pop up. It’s basically what Jonny talked about. I’ve been doing it for years but didn’t know there was a name for it. I’m going to start mentioning it more on my channel.
Once again, a great video. Thank you for bringing up mental health and awareness. It's always a joy and mindful peace to see everyone has a storm brewing within themselves. It's insightful and inspirational how people share their coping skills and routines on the daily basis. No matter what happens, reach out to those who can listen and give you a helping hand. And with the same mindset, return the action and raise them up to their full potential. Thank you for reminding us to reset our minds, body and soul. It's always great to have those friendly nudges in life from time to time. Cheers
This was a well needed message my wife and i lost are son a year ago memorial day it has been one of the most painful things we have ever had to deal with but with Gods help and a lot of prayer and many camping trips to Gila we have been able to pull through its not easy by no means but your mind and heart can heal the outdoors for me is as close as you can get to God its seeing all of his creations and all the things he brings to life it gives me hope in God . Thanks for a awesome video God bless

Thank you for making this! The Lord and nature saved me from depression and anxiety. Planning on using my runner to take kids out that are dealing with depression and get them out in the forests of Michigan. Hoping this fall. Trying to get the runner finished up soonish.
Thanks for this. It is so true my friend. Reconnecting with nature is much needed in all our lives. Thanks again for a great vid. What trail is that if you don't mind sharing?

Hi Jonny, Great video! Well said to raiseing awareness on how important it is on what works for you to take care of yourself. Wish you all of the best. Sounds of the water, crackling fire and music is so relaxing. Thanks for sharing. Take care. 👋 😊
Bonjour! I watch your video every week and love them. this one was another excellent one! mental health is so important. thank you for it and the "how long" speech was a very good reminder for me, I need to let go the past... can I ask how did you get rid of sleep apnea? my doctor say that I'm stuck with the cpap for life... thank you and "bonne journée"!
I got rid of the stress and my sleep apnea went away! It wasn’t actually sleep apnea it was high cortisol levels. I hope you can get rid of the cpap at least for me it was a torture device. Thanks for watching.👊🏻😎
Looks like a great spot. Always nice to find a campsite next to flowing water. Ever have to worry about foxtails in Daisy's fur? We have to avoid a lot of socal trails in the summer because of them getting into the husky's fur.
@@jonnytacooutdoors Yup. That's them. I think the grass at 10:12 of the video is shot of them. I think Daisy would be significantly less susceptible to them with her shorter hair, and they'd be easier to see on her, but they are dangerous because they work themselves into the dog's skin because of the reverse barbs (like a bee stinger). Dogs can also get them in their ears, nose and eyes.
@@HuskyMike I definitely got those in my socks. They sure look nice when they’re all green. Daisy has short hair so she doesn’t have any problems with those. 😁 where are you tuning in from?
@@jonnytacooutdoors The spring/ early summer when they're green, they're definitely nice looking and less of a problem. Once they dry out, it's like they are on a mission to attack anything that walks by. ha ha. I'm in Escondido (north county San Diego) not too far from SBNF.
I've been semi alone for 34 years now (divorced). It was/is the best move for me. Been through several relationships in that period. I've tried hot rodding, boating, fishing, and now camping/glamping just to keep busy. One piece of advice from this old fart is to try and work yourself into a healthy routine before you get to my age. I regret not taking my own advice earlier in my life.
Another great video and it definitely resonated strongly with me because I certainly can use some getting away. Now that it's blazing hot here in SoCal, hope to go out to Joshua Tree and BLM out there when there's less people due to the heat.
