Written Pattern: sirinscrochet.com/crochet-chevron-summer-top-with-written-pattern/ Hi again. Please don't forget to turn the subtitles on. My yarn is Alize Diva Ombre Batik. It's Microfiber Acrylic and category #1 yarn. I used 3 mm crochet hook. If you want to make the neck opening smaller, you can start with multiples of 11. Make 154 chains. Make 3 DC in a row, into the next space make 2DC, into the next make 2, make 3DC in a row than skip 3 chains. Repeat this 13 more times.
It seems like the starting chain should be 156 instead of 154 but I'm not expert like Sirin so I'm trying with 154 as she instructed. I'll update if I come out 2 chains short. Maybe it will help someone.
Well i thought it was going to work out but on row 3 I found it doesn't work because there's not enough sections of 2dc in the chain spaces make the total of 8 that are needed. I'm sad that it didn't work out but that's ok. I'll find another Sirin blouse to make.
Hi Sirin, I love, love, love this chevron blouse. I marvel at your creavity. Thank you so much for sharing your work. Even though I have been crocheting for the last 74 years, off and on, (i'm now 85) I am still learning new skills. Today I learnt a simple trick to keep my chains from twisting when working in the round!! You are so patient, and explain your work so well, l never tire of listening to you. Bless you and keep up the good work. Much appreciated.
I was able to get the small size I needed and a smaller neckline by starting with 98 chains, 14 repeats of 7. It's a little tricky making the increases and the boxes work out but if you are an experienced crocheted, you can work it out. Once you increase up to 6DC per section, you will be up to row 2 of the original pattern here and you can follow along. I also stopped increasing when I got to 14 DC per section... I believe the pattern here goes up to 18. When I had enough rows to get over the bustline, I actually decreased to 12 DC per section to bring it back in. I also started my armholes after row 11. Hope this helps. Also, I started my neckline with a chainless row of SC and I did the same at the armhole instead of the chains, I did 30 sc (14x2 + 2). UA-cam has videos for doing chainless foundation rows. I tried my blouse on after every 2 rows to check the fit. For a size medium, I would stop increasing after 16 DC per section. If you don't understand what I mean, you need to watch the video again... It's the number of DC going up one side of the point before you chain 3 at the very top. This would be in a row that does not have the boxes. The boxes are DC, ch 1, DC... the other row is all DC, no chains in between. As always, YMMV if you use different yarn or size hook or crochet tighter or looser than me. Try your blouse on after 14 or 16 or 18 DC sections and see what fits.
Sirin, the chevron summer top looks lovely on you. It's so pretty ! This is on my to do list. Thank you so much for all your creativity and sharing your amazing talents.
Made two of these, they were gifts, using It's a Wrap Rainbow yarn using a size G hook, I'm a tight crocheter. Both turned out ok. Working on number 3 now. Love this pattern.👍
This blouse is absolutely beautiful, I love not only the colour (my favourite 😍), but also the pattern. Thank you very much for sharing this with us and for clear instructions.
Hi sirin's, beautiful top I struggled a bit with it as I find you go through instructions too quickly at times and don't explain or show things clearly enough but love your videos
I am working on this now in solid blue. I have completed to three rows under the arm hole. I'm so excited, can't wait to get it finished! Thank you very much!
Hi Sirin. Nice to see your face on here again. I love that blouse. It's gorgeous. Love the blue color way also. I've saved this tutorial as well to make. TY for sharing this
What a gorgeous lady you are. Its lovely to put a face to your voice. In the past few weeks, Ive subscribed to sooooo many crochet channels, as Ive just started crocheting and Im loving every minute of it. I have to say that your channel is one of my absolute favourite. Thanks you so much for all the inspiration you give to us. This is stunning and of course you make it look FABULOUS xx
Oh thank you for showing how to make this beautiful top. Love this top on you. Looks so good. I'll be making this too. Thank you again for this video on how to make this. ❤❤
Another beautiful pattern Pinar. Thankfully I have a stash of GONG mercernized cotton. About 2000 yds. Already on row 3 and it is taking shape.❤ Making the DC longer helps speed up the process in length. Love it. Thank you again.
I so love this top. I saved it but haven't made it but it keeps coming up to me. It is speaking to me I think. It's time I actually tried making it. Thank you so much for your tutorial.
Wow another amazingly gorgeous blouse Sirin. You are so talented. I'm very very thankful that you share these tutorials with us for free. This is priceless information. You're a wonderful person. Thanks again. ❤👍
I found it very helpful to watch at half speed since she goes so fast. Working with such fine yarn and small hook I find myself back spacing and half speed helps me keep up. I hope this helps
I love your kitty video intro, it’s probably the best intro I’ve ever seen! ❤️❤️❤️ I have anywhere from 2-5 of my kitties around me when I crochet. They surprisingly don’t mess with my yarn too much while I’m working on it. Also this top is so beautiful. I’m going to try to make one for my mom and myself 😊
thanks a lot for the video! I knitted a top for myself, now it's my favorite thing in my wardrobe 👍 I'm knitting a dress for my daughter now with the same pattern, thank you 🤗
I love 💕 the blouse.. I have watched your videos & made your blankets.. I’m not as good at crocheting 🧶 as you.. but for sure I’m going to try to make a blouse 👚 like yours... thanks 🙏 for another wonderful beautiful video 🤗🤗🤗
Thank you Sirin. Love your tutorials. I have just started this summer top. Hope I am able to complete it and do justice to your teaching. Love from Melbourne
I love it. I am making a different one now for my 31 year old daughter. When I am done, I start this one. I am going to use CoBoo. TY Siren . You are the best !
I LOVE THIS TOP!!!! My first crocheted top because you made it so easy to follow along!! THANK YOU SO MUCH! It fits me perfectly and I’m thrilled to have made something I can wear!! I wish you were on Ravelry!!

your smaller number only works out to 10 stitches but you said for it to be multiples of 11.
