First off, glad the move went well, and dig that t shirt, Craig! Lightning Seeds debut and Sense are great LPs. I'm sure I'll see the latter in your 1992 episode. Darling Buds I have not thought about in a long time. Cry Baby and Serial Mom, an excellent double feature. Your number 1 is spot on. 😎🎶
I found a violator original 1990 CD completely mint for 1$ the other day at my thrift store. Out of hundreds of CDs it’s my favorite thrift store find ever
Love your shirt, here's another gem: I don't like country music, but I don't mean to denigrate those who do. And for the people who like country music, denigrate means 'put down'. Bob Newhart🤣
OK Love your #1 pick...His finest. Love the name checking on Information Society (underrated), Soho (VERY underrated), one of my favorite Pet Shop albums, and of course Cocteau Twins. I'll have to go back and listen to that Darling Buds record! So here are some I would have chosen too...I was actually surprised not to see a few of them but maybe you don't have them on vinyl: Depeche Mode--Violator (actually my FAVORITE of theirs!), Sinead O'Connor--I Do Not Want What I Haven't Got, The Sundays--Reading, Writing & Arithmetic, Red Hot & Blue comp (LOVE that), and the Twin Peaks soundtrack (LOVE that AND the show and the stuff that followed). You never mentioned Lisa Stansfield for 89, so I was surprised not to see her in 90...Affection was like the Adele 21 of it's time. Deee-Lite's debut World Clique is great too. A bunch of things that I love that you might not: House of Love--self titled, the Heart Throbs--Cleopatra Grip, Marc Almond--Enchanted, Nick Cave--The Good Son, Dead Can Dance--Aion, Prefab Sprout--Jordan the Comeback, Ride--Nowhere, and Betty Boo--Boomania (She Did the Do). Others I came across that were good: World Party--Goodbye Jumbo, Trash Can Sinatras--Cake, Aztec Camera--Stray, KLF's Chill Out, and Enigma's MCMXCAD (their only REALLY good one IMO). Prince's Graffiti Bridge was a bit of a mixed bag but I do like the songs, even the ones sung by other people (but Question of U and Joy in Repetition are classic Prince). Thanks for choosing the Lightning Seeds debut as well! Great stuff...the first 5 are just being reissued now. And the less said about Vanilla Ice's To the Extreme, the better! Keep the 90's coming!
I really should have mentioned Lisa but this gets rather hard as I want to mention everything! There will be an honorable mentions for the 90’s as well so we may just see her!
Red, Hot & Blue (I don’t know if you are counting VA albums), Adam Ant Manners & Physique, Oingo Boingo Dark At The End Of The Tunnel, DM Violator, Madonna I’m Breathless, INXS X, Morrissey Bona Drag, The Cure Mixed Up.
My #1 from 90 would hands down be Apple from Mother Love Bone. Talk about music saving your life... man. I think the song Stargazer came out just in time for my angsty high school years.
Hi Craig.. great video. 'A knife, a fork, a bottle and a cork' is a line I recognise from Dillingers' 'Cocaine In My Brain'. For me, a roundup of 1990 would have to include the Sundays 'Reading, Writing & Arithmetic'. 'Heaven or Las Vegas' would be no.1 in 1990 for me ...I think. Cheers - D
@@CraigsVinylPlethora When I was at college [a long time ago!] I worked part-time in a fashion store whose owner only played reggae. That song is etched into my brain - ha!
Cry Baby is a really difficult album to find on vinyl or at least it is over here in the uk at a decent price it’s my wife’s favourite movie it took me ages to get a copy it drove me nuts trying to get a copy for her £70 I think I eventually paid for it when the cd can be bought for maybe £2 at the most 😂
Excited to see what someone with amazing taste feels are the best albums of my birth year!

Modern English: Great album! 🎵
Glad you are continuing the series with the 90’s ! My favorite album from 1990 is definitely Violator 🌹from Depeche Mode

Listen Without Prejudice imo is one of the best albums I’ve ever heard. Top to bottom it’s awesome.
