      When we have the 120 miles setup, what range can you achieve being on the high way the whole time at 70mph?

    • @LANDEnergy
      @LANDEnergy 6 місяців тому +1

      @@AlbanCoville We have a whole chart that we are about to put online that will give people realistic ranges.
      Let's start max range, in E bike mode you can get up to 200miles of range. In Ride mode 4 (performance mode) - 35mph gives you 70miles. When you jump to a constant 70mph = 23 miles of real world travel, this is up/down hills, and basically full throttle with no speedup or slowdown. When release, our chart will also give more realistic riding scenarios (UDDS), which give more range than just constant throttle at a constant speed, as real world riding you would never be able to just maintain a speed of 35mph for a constant 70 miles of distance.
      Some of our competitive benchmarking on a Xero with their 14.4kWh pack, average 64 miles of range, the bikes however are 443lbs, that is 2X the weight of the LAND District. Let's just be real, electric is amazing for short, spirited commuting and of course hoonage, but for highway and long range at high speeds, it falls a bit flat.
      The way we see it, motorcycles are tools, not every tool needs to be a hammer, not every tool needs to be a screw driver, you pick the appropriate tool for the job. Our CEO has a 1000cc race bike, he loves it..... on the track, but I rarely see him commuting on it to work, or riding it around our city, Around the city, he is always riding the LAND's.
      The reason we also offer swappable batteries is that technology in the battery area is moving quickly, range will increase exponentially over 3-5 years, so simply swapping out the packs offers more range and power in the same package is a reality.
      The detractors will say electric sucks, for us who ride both, we see the good and the bad, and the good is good enough already that we are fully committed to pushing it forward.

    They’re really missing out on customers by not selling the bike locked to class 2 speed the law states an E bike can’t exceed 750 W power not the motor can’t be above 750 W so they’re really spreading this information by saying, you can ride this at any level in reality. As soon as you buy the bike, you have to get a motorcycle license and tag it as a Motorcycle.. a couple companies are smart and loophole this by allowing the customer to contact them to unlock to off road speeds. Also, at these prices, the bike should have a level two charger on it would make all the difference.

    • @jelanilawr
      @jelanilawr Рік тому +4

      The thing about this is the battery is something you can take out they can update the battery and put a level two or three charger in it. There’s no limit to this bike.

    for 7800 they want another 600 for headlights/brake lights/mirrors, and im not even sure if that includes turn signals, it doesn't say it does.
    otherwise a great bike, but if they're trying to make an electric motorcycle (not a dirtbike) they should really be making these features standard, dinging the customer 600 dollars for a feature that is standard on any road legal bike isn't a great way to get anyone to move to EV from gas...

    • @PaintedW0LF

      So you obviously went to their website if you're saying all this. If you went to their website, you obviously saw that there are two versions of this bike--the regular version and the "scrambler" version.
      It's only a $600 option if you choose the "Scrambler" version since scramblers are traditionally used off-road and headlights and all the DOT stuff are not mandatory.
      The regular street version has the lights and signals already included.

    Why no one should buy this or any e-bike/motorcycle that doesn’t have a 200 mile range or better. The reality is: if it has a 200 mile range, the rider can only go 100 miles and make a turn around to get back to their home. Now, if one is taking a road trip, the bike should be capable of receiving fast charging, because who wants to wait around for hours to get recharged when time is of the essence. Our whole lives are governed by time or the lack of it. So while e-bikes “may” be cheaper to operate, more clean for the environment, etc., the reality is they still aren’t practical enough for everyday use. So what’s the solution? Bikes and cars that run of used cooking oil, or better yet, run on hydrogen, by electrification of water to split the hydrogen from it and run vehicles, bikes. We currently buy bottled water everywhere. So why can we not use water to run vehicles? Because big oil companies don’t want to have their profits to take a hit. GREED. Which is why e-bikes and EVs, with the exception of Teslas, are 💩💩💩. Tesla has the infrastructure for fast charging, so all EV should be regulated and required to use this infrastructure for charging. And, these manufacturers of these EVs must be made to contribute to the maintenance and growth of these charging stations. If the powers that are in control don’t prevail in having the electrical charging infrastructure unified, but argue about monopolies, etc., then the problems of people using inferior batteries packs and the fires and lives lost by these fires, will continue to grow and kill off the EV segment. Perhaps that is big oil’s plan?

      Less than 10% of the population commute >100 miles round trip to work. So this entails alternate transportation with cheap maintenance and can then look into small solar power generator for recharging and going off grid with this. I call that a win
