People of the Basin: Agnes and Mion Bailey interview 1974

Jim Delahoussaye's 1970s interview collection with people from the Atchafalaya Basin. During his early years as a commercial fisherman in the Basin, Jim Delahoussaye recorded nearly 100 oral history interviews with Basin dwellers, people who lived inside of the swamp in houseboats until the rising water and silt pushed them to higher ground after WWII.
