So much easier than the F30. On my F30 I went with the Evolution Racewerks Oil Cooler. Such a big difference in oil temps. Also I like how the ER kit comes with the upgraded AN fittings and stainless steel braided lines.

Hello! I recently purchased a Mishimoto oil cooler along with a new Turner skid plate, but it seems Mishimoto updated their oil cooler to a bigger design and the Turner skid plate no longer fits. I was scratching my head trying to figure out why it didn’t fit until I compared the 2 oil coolers side by side.
I imagine you try and catch as much of the loss as possible - then measure and add that + 0.44q in. Run car to temp, and measure with the OBC. My question related to this is why Brian says you need to add the extra at EVERY oil change? When you drain oil from the sump, none of it leaves the oil cooler - so as far as the rest of the system is concerned (if the cooler is full), the capacity hasn't changed?

Great vids but what’s wrong with the stock cooler? Temp control is excellent for oil/water on f8x, it’s just IAT’s that climb but only when tuned.

Is this overkill for a street driven car? Wondering if the oil will not get up to full operating temps in daily driving conditions or in the winter.

How long will it take for your car to come to temp on cold weather?
It should be similar, especially if you're warming the car up while sitting
Does one need to flush the engine oil out first before doing this?
No you should be fine just topping it off with half quart after install unless it’s time to get a oil flush
1st
