    Why do you cut the leaves? And do you take the bag off to water the plant or do you leave it on the entire time. If so, how often should you water it?

    The cutting initially used and the rooted sapling finally shown are different.

    Charcoal you use, is it the charcoal we buy from supermarket for BBQ?

    • @PeteDaGreek
      @PeteDaGreek 2 роки тому

      No. Charcoal used in gardening is a more pure carbon. Look into "biochar" to understand more about charcoal in the garden.

    I didn't let the rooting powder dry and I filled my cup with soil and stuck the branch through the soil. I hope it didn't wipe off any of the rooting powder. And I used smaller branches...much smaller. I hope it works 😬 lyk in 6-8 weeks. Or sooner if it fails 😭

      Soursop produce quickly from seed, only 2 to 3 years.
      Air layer is the fastest way to get fruit for most any fruit tree.

    Which is better to fruit? From cuttings or from seeds and how long does it fruit? Pls. Reply

    • @WalkOverHotCoal
      @WalkOverHotCoal 2 роки тому +1

      From my experience with other fruit trees, you are more likely to get fruits earlier from a cutting than from a seed. The reason is that if the cutting is obtained from a fruiting tree, it is already a mature tree. Well, part of a mature tree. Tree from a seed is just growing to be a fruiting tree, so it will take what it normally take for a tree to become mature. I grow citrus, black mulberry and yellow guava from cuttings with success. One other trick I have is to bundle a few of the cuttings together and plant them in a larger pot. When they begin to form roots, you can carefully separate each plant and deal with them accordingly.
      There is a major difference between the two types of trees. The one that grow from seed will have a better root system if it has a tap root. The one from a cutting will not have a tap root as the roots radiate from the base.
