I found my first shako! Always when you aren't looking for anything... The stats on this item are sick.
Ive never found one in how ever many years!! Theres a learning curve for new players. You haven't played a game like this before. I tend to buy one for around UM later in the season ✌️

For Orb sorc, its best cast your orb, which takes over 2 seconds. While its plowing through enemies, spam static field. This works best if you have more than 1 point in SF... you want to make the field as wide as possible. You will MELT through cows. Typically 1 orb and 3 casts of static if you have some decent gear.
Just fyi, your frozen orb deals the most damage at the point of explosion. If you take a couple steps back and make the orb explode on Baal, you will find that it does way more damage :)

Nice vid but for anyone that's planning on playing an orb sorc, if you see how long it took to kill Griswold and Baal, that's because he didn't line up correctly, you want the orb to detonate inside the boss, not behind it

^ exactly. I find with Blizzard it's best to click near the mob you want to kill rather than namelock on them. For whatever reason it seems to hit more than when it's namelocked.
Glwt 🤭🤣 the damage isn't done by the orb but by the shards so just passed is my sweet spot for orbs
With a sorceress I would do hell mephisto runs (with moat trick if gear is too bad to risk normal confrontation). In addition to shako he can drop most of the other important items and it takes much less time to reach him.
What is moat trick? Can you explain it for me please
u go and aggro him and than go backwards across that little bit of water and stand back. He won’t cross that and u can stay back and do damage without being hurt

Does moat trick work with orb? I'm on Switch controller version so orb aims better than Blizzard and im mostly single player so i need to be orb+ fireball to solo the game
@@LordBattleSmurf the range is shorter so its abit tricky, but should work, i used to do it on the "left" side of the center. Also, i highly recommend going orb+firewall instead. it does waaaay more damage than fireball. Try it, you'll thank me later.
Whenever I want a shako I just run around act 1 hell stoney field to outer cloister and just Kill all the packs since they are all perfect lvl for dropping shako.. it never fails I will find one faster this way than any other way...finding items in d2 is all about monster lvl and drop tables

@@plumtree8713 D3 can’t hold a candle to D2…I don’t know why but in D2 there was a thrill to finding loot but in D3 it was all just … eh…
I can’t explain it but they messed with the formula and it just didn’t feel right.
Finding that only shako in the mausoleum probably felt great. I can remember loads of moments like that in D2 but only one in D3…finding calamity on my DH before the game was made much easier.

Hey dude i am wondering what is your sorc full gear ? I see wizzy , shakoo , spirit monarch , gladiator's bane ! What is the rest? I see the mobs doesnt do any damage to you , also what are your resistances and life /mana? Are u max block?

Second one I believe from Diablo or Meph. Was less excited then the first time I found it, so can't remember correctly. Funny how that works :)

In D2R it's cows or andariel. Cause they will give you a lot of all game best drops besides shako. Remember that now you can kill cow king and have the level opened. So it is rly quick run now, that gives you runes, diamonds, bases for runewords etc.
Juicy tips, pld alot ...didnt know, but i do use silospen dropcalc and i imagine the info will be there as well if i specifically search for it. 🤗😉

What is the best bet for trying to find a shako, but also finding other stuff on the way. I would rather farm with a lower chance for shako, but it still be worth it if at the end of the day i have items that i could trade with.
With frozen orb u want to hit your enemies with the end of the flying ball, so that it explodes on target. This way your clearing speed will reduce a lot. Just saying 😅
Glwt 🤭shooting just past allows for more exposure and the ball releases more shards.. so given the radial spread just passed gives the max damage per orb..just saying 🤫😏

Farmed pindle keys baal diablo meph travincal andy 300mf in hell for 2 days cant find any decent gear or charms. Do i miss something ? Should i focus more on doing one thing only ?

How do you know Cow King has 1/95 chance to drop Shako base item? Is there a DB of possible monster drops?

If your farm the bosses there is a chance that they drop essences, if you craft those together you get a respec, other than that you got 3 x times respec after act 1 quest 1

Got mine right out side the cold plains way point off a shaman on hell. First SOJ off my first Andriel kill on night mare.
I found two from just killing overworld monsters in Black Marsh, Act 1. My guess is that its nice to just kill any density mobs if you have high MF.
I got an SOJ yesterday off the special carver guarding the tristram portal but no shako yet lol

what do you suggest your magic find percentage should be good enough to drop shako against nm baal?
300% is a good start.
I just got two shakos yesterday... One off of H Meph, other off of H Andy. Honestly, if you want a specific item just play the game. Can't go wrong with andy for jewelery and meph for everything else tho.
What happens to me, that I have noticed, I do not get drops from bosses, always random mobs on way to the boss that I kill. Today was on way to Hell Andy and got first UM Rune drop in the room by the stairs at Andy's level. Got nothing from Andy, but still success.
Frozen orb is the best when you set it right when it explodes
The majority if shakos I've found were in off andy and meph, and off nilathak before I believe. I've heard many ppl talk about the Meph moat trick for blizzard sorcs but nobody mentioning the andy door trick for blizzard sorcs.
U just clear the catacombs level 4 room without opening the door, then tele to andy and then have her follow u and walk down to the door then tele behind the door and just start blizzard storming the door over and over until you see her death fire everywhere and the sounds etc then open door and claim loot. Ez gg good luck folks 👍

I found 2 in the AT within a few days. That’s my go to anymore. Sometimes I get junk but when a unique drops it’s always high-tier item.

Where are you getting these drop rates from? I'm checking them on silopen and getting different rates from everything you stated in this video.
for the most part I am stating the drop rate chance for the base item type. The chance for it to roll magic/unique/rare/set of course is subject to magic-find percentage, but totally RNG, the type of monster you're killing doesn't effect the drop chance of a specific unique/set etc, but just the base item type for that set/unique (etc).
I'm curious too! What's a good source to find drop rates?
Silospen is quite broken and gives wrong answers. The German drop calc is said to be better.

Not really. It depends on how fast you can kill. Most people aren't going to be able to speed through Hell Baal (especially as a Sorceress with all of the immunes) until they already have the gear they would want to farm for in the first place. Highest drop chance doesn't mean most chances in the same amount of time.
@@Neonmirrorblack exactly my thoughts. When trying to farm these items, the player probably doesn't have the stuff to run hell or doesn't have the ability to trade for it.
@@Neonmirrorblack Well there are 2 other bosses to farm that require no gear and are easy to find and kill as a sorc. Andariel and Mephisto
@@LEK Requires no gear? Is that a joke? Not only does Andariel have a terrible drop rate solo, Hell Mephisto requires *some* decent gear to not get demolished by stygian dolls and the council unless you're going very slowly...which then defeats the purpose of trying to farm him.
If you're playing offline, it's not quite as bad and you can go with less gear, but that's because the map never changes.
@@Neonmirrorblack Mephisto as a sorc is by far the easiest boss in the entire game. Ever heard about moat tricking? You literally need nothing for it.
And a quest bugged Andariel drops pretty decent considering how fast it is to get to her and kill her

Finally found my first sol to make insight yesterday doing count. (Haven't played in 15+ years) put the runes in a war fork. Pissed I went to arcane, opened the first chest i saw and a sol came out. RNJesus had my back. Moral of the story, open shit lol.
I found a Tal Ammy on a random normal cow. Not sure how lucky that is
I got my Shako HC in hell Canyon of the Magi map from one of the random boss packs. Was just doing the act 2 quests on my may to Duriel...

I played alot of d2 and i only ever found two harlequins crests and both times i ended up not using them because i was burned out on the game by that time xD
I think the best way to get a shako is by farming hell Andarial/Mephisto. Or any high level area that you can clear with decent speed, like ancient tunnels, the pit, chaos or world stone keep. Cannot wait to get one on D2R...

Honor Neun yes but the other usual farm spots that he has listed drops the other uniques that you either want or don't want and in which case you are looking for something more specific than another Druid mallet for example or an unique ring that is not a SoJ. Shako has always eluded me from the usual farm spots but not in Cows and Griswald in Tristam Nightmare more than Hell difficulty. D2 has always been that ARPG game to have a reason to lower the difficulty for many reasons when hunting or magic finding specific unique items. Don't get too attached to playing Hell Mode all the time😉.

@@robertkaszti6103 problem with that, is as the ilvl goes up so does the mlvl. In other words the loot table expands with higher difficulty, “polluting” the potential drop. If one is after a specific item, it’s best to reduce the loot table by lowering the difficulty.
Bugged andy would be dropping more rings and amus than shako. Your best bet would be chaos runs, ancient tunnels, pits.
I'm on d2r and doing it with the blizzard sorc. Kinda stuck on act 5 because all the cold immune monsters. Just started farming bishobosh, rag and grendle... tis a decent run with clear time in under 5 mins for all 3
Just to clarify, I see some comments in regards to farming Nightmare Mephisto, to my knowledge Shako is an elite item and does not drop on nightmare aside from a few high level enemies like Baal (not sure about Nihlatak). Am I wrong?
Mephisto in Hell can drop it, but not in nightmare. In nightmare, only Baal and Nihlathak can drop it.
Basically they can only drop items up to their monster level, so if the monster level is only 50, they cannot drop a level 65 item. I'm unsure of this applies to runes. I only ever dropped HR off of trash mobs tbh
Source on killing the Cow King and not being able to make portal was a bug? Haven't herd that before.
It completed a hidden quest and if you completed it you couldnt create anymore, it wasnt a bug. If you completed the quest the Cow King dropped "Stamina Potions / Milk Bottles", thats how you knew someome created the game who didnt have the quest completed and now you also couldnt create cow games anymore.

It's an energy shield, frozen orb sorc.
Basically you max orb, get coldmastery to -135 (so most mobs will have the max of -100 rez). Then you max warmth, telekinesis and energy shield and equipment some items with flat physical and magic damage reduction of top of the usual max rez and DR%.
You can go for maxblock if you want and then devide the rest of you points so that you have about 500 HP and all the rest into energy. (2k+ mana is a must).
An example: you take 3000 damage. About 80% of it will go to mana (2400) With max telekinesis, that gets reduced to 75%, so you loose 1800 mana.
600 DMG go to your health, but get reduced by you DMG reduction % and then you flat DMG reduction.
So If you take that 600 DMG hit with 75% elemental rez and 50 flat magic DMG reduction you would take 100dmg (to 150 with %red and -50 from flat).
Making you life drop by 100 health when you would have taken 700 DMG without energy shield.
You run insight merc and max warmth to replenish your mana almost instantly.
Mana burn champions are a pain in the ass though.
The interesting part is this: if you take 1000 DMG with the same setup, you take 50 DMG before your flat DMG reduction, which means you take 0dmg to your health. every hit below 1000 DMG simply does no DMG to you at all, as long as you have mana.

Interesting. I'm getting a sense that you are specialize or expertise in finding specific rare/unique items that people may have a hard time finding. Which you are giving the people some advice on how to target/find these items without spending too much time in other areas. This is good for the newcomers and a quick review for the vets!👏🏽

really depends on what your doing. If you want to get rich quick by farming Meph and AT till your eyes bleed then Bliz sorc is the way to go. if you want to have some fun and clear the game pretty easy I'm thinking Necro is the winner; CE is probably the most broken spell in the game. Trapsin and Hammerdin are in contention though as they are pretty decent with minimal gear. Everything else is too gear hungry for my taste.
Build a gold find barb once you get some decent mf gear and gamble for rare gg circlets. Profit.
I got 2 shako on December, first drop from Andariel Hell Mode & second drop from Diablo Hell Mode. I got 4 Tal Rasha helmet
In total I got 4 Shako. The last one drop from Mephisto this evening

lol Writs leg....Its Wirts leg, also the reason ppl farm in nightmare for certain stuff is because of the item level. the higher the monster the more diverse the item level can be drastically reducing your chances of finding certain items.so many people thathave only played diablo 3 are in for a big surprise when a hell baal is dropping level 15 items instead of them used to mobs and bosses dropping items basically at your max level like in d3
I got mine at Catacombs 3 from a mob when I was on my way to Andariel.
Hell andariel is much faster then nightmare baal..
You don't have to sit through the waves of trash.
Also when you kill andariel all of the room gets cleared and everything in there has decent odds to drop it.
Nightmare baal is easier but much slower.

I picked up a Gray 2 socket Shako today random drop in arcane sanctuary wasn't sure what to do with it so I sold it

I got a question how can the cow king drop a Harlequin Crest Shako Item Level: 69 in a Secret Cow Level Nightmare is only Level: 64 if you mean hell cows then ok but explain how in nightmare that would be possible please thank you.
I think the bosses and unique monster are higher level than the area level but I thought they were only +2 or 3 higher, that still too low though so maybe he is +5.
2000 meph kills, 1000 and about 300 diablo kills and 300 Baal kills. Idk how many cow levels. No shaco and no titans. Lots of other good stuff, war Travs, 2 oculus, 2xJah, several Andy heads, an eye, 1 max rolled cold Jew and a lightning Jew etc. Damn you shaco.

No. It has to do with treasure class and monster class. It's complicated. But I can tell you I found one off nightmare Baal, so he at least drops it.

How can I rerun the cow level? I finished the game in normal, but I could only open it once. (Playing d2r).
Go to Tristram again for the leg, return to the Rouge camp and open the portal, note that leg from the normal difficulty can’t open portal on nightmare, you gotta cube it in normal, nightmare cows available only after you beat Baal in nightmare

if you do mephisto hell runs do them without mercenary bc he/she will trigger the council almost every time. if you teleport in "alone" that wont happen that often.
