My Dad was one of the Never Us A Cresent Wrench fanatics but he had every size of Cresent ever made and they were very much used on everything I never called him out I wasnt crazy lol
Aw man, hearing that motor turn over is the best music ever! FIRST DRIVE! Congrats Travis! Good things happen to good people! This made my Friday! Go RAC Garage, keep moving forward!
Loving this 33 too, would be awesome if you could keep it. I like it when you film some mechanical repairs! I'm more comfortable with body work so I'm learning from you!!
@@RACGARAGE I am not aware of what direction the distributer turns on a flathead the point grease is put on the rubbing block so as not to be flung into the point contacts. Just a small dab. High temp grease should work, I have a tube of point grease in my tool box that I have had for nearly 50 years. Not sure they even package it as that anymore. I enjoy your channel you are very talented with metal working. I am currently working on a 1939 Ford pickup with an LS 5.3 liter engine and 4L60E transmission.
While your working your way thru subtle changes (for the sake of cool) I'd consider lower profile headlight mounts. I was playing with headlights on my 5w yesterday.. they run around $55 a set.
it looks like your son might really like to be with you... and help dad if he could... I bet he'd love it...and by teaching him all that you know!... Wow...
Well the 33 isn’t mine I just found it and am doing the work for Danno who owns it now. And Jacob got a job working construction, more than I could pay him
If it was getting too warm then the fan would be going all the time. Is it? Seems kind of silly to run something without a temp gauge or using an IR temp tool.
....my dad would have watched me do the switch, drinking a beer, and when I would still have to move from the motor to start the ride he'd be smiling. He'd say you should have made the switch wires longer so you could remain with the motor .....😮just messing with you....😮
Happy to see our timing tool worked out well for you! Looking forward to seeing this beauty roll on its own power. Keep up the great work!
Thanks again!

Did you put point grease on the points rubbing block ? If not the rubbing block will prematurely wear and reduce your point gap (dwell).
Didn’t know there was such a thing, I’ll get some

More to come!
Love that '33! Hope you can keep it!!
Nice car, fun to drive I'll bet.
Just go to Harbor Freight and get a cheap pyrometer.
At least you'll know where you're at in operating temperature.
Great car, sounds good.
Sounds good 👍
Great job Travis!!!!!!!
That'll have to be one of the luckiest 33 🙂 3 window coupes around ❤️
It’s gonna be one sweet ride! Even though it is already!

I hope we get to work side by side
Positive ground 😂
Nice ride
Why not have an original Ford axle dopped? Then you will have a good forged axle and you won't need to modify the wishbone.
How many lobes on dist. Cam?
tough choice but i know which one i would be keeping of your two. weres jacob ?
