      Chances are that the mountain was to high to make the full jump. You end up with the diver flailing his arms full pelt in to a rock for a comical death. 😅😂

    Interesting take and great vid. I personally go with sickle/scorcher, supply backpack, and HMG as that takes care of all unit types and supply needs.

      I used to take HMG but I HIGHLY encourage you to take the regular MG. Will take the harvester down in the same amount of time without all the unnecessary recoil

    My go-to loadout for Illuminate has been:
    -Crossbow with Laser pistol (the pistol is great for the drones and zombies, if got some space)
    -Machine Gun (I think this is the best support weapon for this faction. Great for getting rid of shields, takes out Harvesters very quick, great for big hordes, and great for those jetpack bastards)
    -The other 3 Stratagem slots I go Orbital Gatling, Orbital Gas, and then I usually got Guard Dog or Jetpack. The Gas is amazing for hordes, don't skip the gas lol.

      Use laser pistol to set off AT mines thrown on top of buildings, just panic sweep the ground and watch everything explode
      (or bring incend mines like a BUG DIVER)

      tbh orbital gas just feels like a gas grenade or incendiary grenade you can only call every minute. They all serve the same purpose. The only good thing about orbital gas is that it can 1-shot ships, but machine gun 900rpm + crossbow can do that already. A machine gun sentry would work better.

      ALL THAT, AND YOU AND YOUR TEAMMATES CAN STIM THROUGH IT.
      It never needs a resupply and lasts for TWENTY seconds, on a 60 second cooldown with the strongest effect in the game right now
      What does MG sentry have?
      175 rounds of mg43 you dont need to aim, which do not penetrate heavy armour like gas strike and get immediately targeted by all enemies due to turret aggro
      For the love of god never recommend MG sentry over gas strike ever again, people will immediately know you play on diff 4

    Illuminate are only easy right now because htey have the equivalent of scavengers, MG Raiders, Warriors and Impalers.
    Wait till we get Illuminate Factory Striders or Illuminate Chargers. God forbid Illuminate Scout Striders or Tanks.
    If i'm going full ham right now, all i need's an Arc Thrower. Hell i can do a Purifier only run and the only hard target to hit is Drones. ALso you can always pick up an MG from the city where the SEAF barracks were
    What i've found being most effective is
    Strafing Run (Use it to clear hordes quick, break Harvester and Dropship shields quick) Arc Thrower (Kills literally everything including Harvesters), Guard Dog with boolets (clears voteless laughably easily, and Overseers melt to it), and finally an MG Turret for clearing out chasing hordes.
    Purifier, Nade Pistol + Incendaries Impact and i've had 1000+ rounds deathless without much stress.

      Ik the feeling brother, some other creators that are enjoyable IMO
      1. @CommisarKai - he’s all about teamplay and implementing team strategies that really differentiate from others
      2. @Background Gaming - Great for high skill gameplay and learning how to be more quick through the missions
      3. Eravin - gameplay is super different since it is more stealth-based and learning useful mechanics (I am biased as I prefer the stealth play style)
      Overall I think Takibo is like a jack of all trades, entertaining while educational and tries different play styles

      Same! I REALLY enjoy Background Gaming and Sarge but Takibo was one of the first creators I started watching.
      I’m just scared he’s not enjoying it like he used to since the length between videos is getting longer and longer.

    Preference is key to a wholesome operation. However a good ol supply pack and HMG to Harvey joints on 450 rpm is just beautiful chemistry.

    Was fine tuning my solo build the other day and finally hit a sweet spot. I take seige-ready light armor with crossbow and ballistic shield (overseers are a breeze, even in large groups); fire grenades for crowds and a redeemer for the stragglers; amr for watchers, harvesters and shields; and orbital gas and laser for the drop ships that I fail to stop. For me, its perfection. Amr really puts down the harvesters with a few hours on it and is so versatile

    Great video! When I do a solo Illuminate run, I usually land in the city around the flat buildings-either Base or Seaf. I prioritize clearing Seaf as quickly as possible.

    Blitzer/Senator deos amazing work on the squids. The stunlock and drone aggro reset from Blitzer makes it super good at general clearing. And the senator one taps overseers. I usually bring laser cannon for the tripods because with some steady aim you can down them w/o an overheat and from across the map.

    Sentry turrets, especially the machine gun. I take along the rocket sentry as well. If you use them correctly they'll take all the attention off you and clean up all the voteless and overseers in the vicinity while you complete your tasks. Watchers come 2 and 3 at a time on lvl 10 and now they clip through the buildings as well making them unkillable while inside, but of course they can still see you and signal the alarm so sometimes drop ships are inevitable. No worries though, toss out your sentries, call in a 500 on any units on the ground and clean up whoever's left with the MG, especially harvesters. Loadout = sickle, grenade pistol, gas nade, MG sentry, rocket sentry, eagle 500kg, jump pack, stamina booster, and MG sourced locally. I find that the Illuminates are pretty easy compared to the other factions on lvl 10.
    A note about sentry detection, if a sentry you deployed anywhere on the map, like a Tesla, targets or attacks any enemy units, even if you're long gone, any surviving hostile units will know where you are. It's one of the many corny, gamey contrivances of the game, along with input reads and cheat spawns. It is what it is 🤷‍♂

      @@Vnx - Inputs from your controller or M/KB. It enables enemy units to attack where you're about to be instead of where you actually are at the moment of the attack. Lot's of games use this to assist the AI

    Tightly packed Voteless die quickly to Scorcher splash damage. It's my primary of choice as well, largely because of its flexibilty in dealing with medium and small units. Aim for the terrain in the middle of a group, fire twice, profit.

    I’ve found the load out that works for me best:
    Primaries:
    Purifier (the ammo economy on it is just much more forgiving)
    Grenade Pistol (Encampments/tesla towers)
    Incendiary grenade (easily clears hordes of voteless)
    Stratagems:
    Guard dog rover (Easy kills, helps when overwhelmed)
    The Machine gun ( yes I know you mentioned you can find them around the map pretty easy but I find it’s nice to just have on demand)
    Machine gun sentry (Helps even more with cleaning up voteless on a pretty quick cooldown)
    Tesla Tower (I find the Tesla tower to be very flexible because you already have a loadout that clears voteless super easy, and it can be a liability accidently killing teammates, so this feel free to swap with whatever)
    Armor:
    Any anymore with peak physique ( helps the MG not being so slow because I use it to kill harvesters and take out encampment shields for my GP, but honestly any armor will work, part of it is because viper commando light armor is drippy)
    Booster:
    hellpod space optimization ( This can also be swapped with literally anything, I personally just like to not have to run around for Ammo right at the start of the match and quickly start taking objectives)

    I have also been going w/o any support weapons for many of the same reason. In addition to Takibo's thoughts, enjoy that it forces me to change things up. Additionally, I don't run solo games so often an extra support weapon drops at some point.

    My favorite loadout for Super Helldives (usually duo) is Purifier or Crossbow, stun lance cuz its fun, gas or impact incendiary, hmg for mainly harvesters but can be used widely as a primary. Stratagems are 500kg for literally everything, gatling or flame sentry, and guard dog if im using crossbow or gas strikes/strafing run. Lot of flexibility but damn effective. HMG is totally overlooked. Oh and armor is the peak physique set either light or medium (from super store) for hmg handling and stun lance dmg (enough to one shot stragglers, 3-4 shot overseers, and destroy ship shields for no ammo use in 5-6 hits.

    best loadout- light medic armor, supply backpack,hmg,orbital gas, and 500kg, secondary weapon is grenade pistol and gas grenade, primary weapon is plas 101. and boom best loadout you are excellent in everything, whilst the hmg shreds harvesters and ship shields you can use grenade pistol to blow em up, then you got the primary for the overseers and watchers, gas grenade and orbital for voteless which obliterates them, supply backpack is so you can just keep on fighting and stimming so you literally cant die and the 500kg for the extra support against it all. i did a solo 40 minute mission alone and got 1,800 kills and that was the first time doing it alone and solo on a 40 min mission its a god tier loadout

    TBH I find myself just not using red stratagems against the illuminate. The quarters that voteless create are tight and the flying overseers just don't get hit by most red stratagems and the harvesters as you said just kind of ignore them most of the time too.
    I find that the best way to deal with illuminate is to run breaker SnP for voteless clearing and shield popping (and occasionally a panicky spray for an overseer), a verdict or senator for dealing with overseers specifically, and then any decent general use support weapon such as the MMG or HMG or Railgun for dealing with harvesters (pro tip- shoot the small joint between their legs and main body- its their "true" weakpoint and dies easily to most weapons) and being extra ammo against the little stuff. All of this I run with a supply pack so I can freely blast away without a care for ammo consumption. Although sometimes I'll run a Quasar or the disposable launchers as those can one-tap harvesters in their legjoint weakpoint.
    Both the SnP and the pistols are naturally great at killing the scout drones, of course.

    understand the sentiment, currently using commando for taking down walkers, scorcher for the overseers, i don't ever really use my sidearm and just have strafing run. bring the autocannon mech if i get bored of the challenge and just want to blow up the spawners. I'm sure the build will change once the illuminate come in proper numbers. i just use the incendiary grenades and never fire a shot at the voteless unless i absolutely have to

    Wasp launcher is underrated for squids imo
    My load out is
    - STA smg for hordes
    - impact incendiary grenades for hordes
    - wasp launcher for 1 shot quick kills against drones and overseas, can also be used for harvesters if desperate
    - 500kg, laser for harvesters
    - sentry for support

    I took a similar approach with my Terminid loadout by not including a support weapon, since I could get lucky and find a flamethrower or stalwart on the way. I’ll have to try this out next time we go squid hunting!

    Loadout:
    Laser cannon support weapon,strafing run,laser drone,machine gun sentry,
    sickle,grenade pistol, incendiary impact grenade,
    FIrst: Never Spawn outsidethe city ! spawn always inside the city near a objective primarly near corners! why? because every main objective has a seaf-SAM site near their position do this always first and you hav never to worry about enemy reinforcment
    Second: immeditaly shoot every drone you see!
    third: focus enemy in this order harvester (long range) > flying overseer (close range) > walking overseer > harvester (close range) > everything else
    consider trying out the Laser cannon support weapon it can clear literally everything on the illuminate site, overseer take around 2-4 sec and if you far enough away they dont aggro you out of any reason , harvesters take a long time around 10 sec but you have infinite ammo and a very high range ,drones take also around 2 sec you should be able to clear every objectiv easy if you pair it with the sickle which could be changed to everything because you dont have to worry about harvesters or overseer, strafing run for ship/harvester shields, or hordes and lastly machine gun or tesla sentry, the last slot is not really important, i prefer the laser drone normal illuminates die just running after you, if you think youll get swarmed throw a incendiary impact or machine gun sentry and move, if the are able to reinforce just immediatly run a little bit away while running kill flying overseers, run after 2 streets around the corner and clear the reinforcment, go back and continue (with seaf-SAM not really a problem)
    ps: you can solo difficulty 10 with only the laser cannon takes time but works

    My best loadout. And mind you I NEVER drop solo super helldive because I’m scared lol.
    But the illuminate I did solo for the 1st time.
    I took supply pack, machine gun, machine and gatlin sentries.
    For primary I took tenderizer, then grenade pistol and incendiary grenade (not impact)
    I took the light armor in viper warbond (forget the name) for the reduced weapon sway on the MG (although engineering passive is good for reduced recoil.)
    The tenderizer annihilated watchers. For overseers, either the MG works, or if you use the tenderizer, aim for the nuts🤷🏻‍♂️ still takes a bit but I don’t like swapping back and forth between MG and tenderizer.
    MG takes down Harvesters shields and the harvester in half a mag (if accurate)
    I just use tenderizer for ship shields. It takes almost a full mag but it’s quick and I have a supply pack + the dozens of ammo boxes laying around the map. I don’t like bringing a whole stratagem JUST for ships/ship shields. Primary + grenade pistol does the trick just fine

    If you feel like you are that out of options, try my go to solo build. It's pretty zero death too. Peak physique + HMG for shields, snitching drones, harvesters and overseers. Backpack to support HMG. Any primary, any secondary. You already have a lot of ammo from supply drops but now you get to double it and it. With Harvesters aim for the joints while crouching or shield antenna then joints. Because you have a weapon that can deal with Harvesters, Overseers and even crack shields for the spawners and endless ammo you can take anything with you, even the most stupid mag dumpers. Either Impact nades or the nade pistol would make closing spawners a lot easier which opens up either side arm or nade to be whatever you like. I really like impact nade and senator but I feel like the better meta solution would be nade pistol + gas or fire nade. And 2 strats left for whatever. Tesla sentry, barrages etc.
    The other weapon that you can easily make a build around is the arc blitzer. It has endless ammo and easily destroys voteless, drones and overseers. Which only leaves shields and harvesters. Could run strafing for shields and commando for harvester or MG for shields and flamethrower with conduit armor for harvesters. Whatever you feel like and the armor passive, side arm and nades are again up to you with either nade pistol or impact nades.

    I love running the MG, guard dog, strafing run, and galting sentry. I find them so fun, I used to the run the stalwart and EATs but the mg deals with harvesters fairly easily

    My usual loadout is Adjudicator, Grenade Pistol, Incendiary Impact Grenade and my choice of armor that has the effect of reducing recoil when crouching or prone. Stratagem wise Shield Generator Pack, Heavy Machine Gun, 500KG, and then my Sentry of choice. It carries in group play. I usually am in charge of taking down Harvesters as it seems even other higher level of players still go for the eye. Heavy Machine Gun fire to the shoulder joints is chefs kiss an easy kill.

    Almost the same. But I found Crossbow + Senator the best choice. Crossbow can deal with ships, 2 shots kill Overseers, it can kill Tripod as well, and it's not bad against the shield. Senator 1tap Overseers in the head when they close. Also, get used to Commando to easily kill Tripod. So, my Loadout: Eagle Str. Run, Machinegun Sentry, Guard Dog, Commando, Crossbow, Senator, Gas Gr.

    I bring comando, strafing run, machine gun sentry, and supply pack. I also bring siege ready light armor, crossbow, gas grenade, and a fast firing secondary. I find that I’m just never out of options with this setup and can counter every enemy unit. I might change out the supply pack, but it’s pretty good for refilling grenade in case you get a mission with tons of voteless.

    2. Gas Orbital Strike (can destroy ships on direct hits as well as being the fastest cooldown strike)
    3. Machine gun kills eberything from walkers to voteless
    4. Eagle (i like 500kg as an emergency button)

    My loadouts been
    STA assault rifle (STA SMG if you dont have the AR) for killing hordes and popping shields
    Grenade pistol for destroying warp ships
    Impact incendiary nades for when I wanna melt a group of votless rq
    Any medium-light armor that lets me outrun the voteless (I switch between the Jin-roh armor and the light killzone armor depending on how im feeling)
    Stim booster (Though this changes again just based on how i feel)
    Eagle strafing run for popping shields and mopping up lines of voteless
    Orbital Gatling barrage for the same reason as above but better for chokepoints
    Shield generator cuz its always useful
    AMR cuz it one shots overseers in the head and 4 shots Harvester legs.
    Its worked pretty well for me so far but everyones different

    Im a lvl 142 Hell commander, this is my layout:
    Jar5 dominator, oneshot the medium enemies with a headshot.
    Grenade pistol, gotta destroy the airships
    Flame grenade, throw when you want to input objective for zombie waveclear
    Car, dont stay arround swarms of enemies a driveny twice is faster than trying to rush it
    500 kg, destroy research base and some airships
    Walking barage, this baby destroy a heavy outpost when thrown in the right angle +90% of the time
    Now the last slot i just do whatever.
    Jetpack is fun and makes SAM faster
    Backpack assault drone is probably easier if you starting out.
    Autocannon can be fun but it can be challenging at times.
    In swamp jetpack can beat car for mobility.
    I mostly do diff 10 and try to rush all missions to below 10 min.

    OPINION: in actual sweaty games for stats on ANY front there is absolutely no reason to take a support weapon or even backpack(besides supply pack MAYBE) when you pick FRV.
    FRV exists as a moveable HMG emplacement + inf stamina + insane mobility to rush POIs for a support weapon, which you can then reload while driving said FRV
    you now have 3 slots left:
    Bugs? orbital napalm , gas strike, supply pack w/gas grenades or thermite
    Bots? eagle napalm, gas strike, OPS (If you pick sentries on bots every single person on your team will fall asleep)
    Squids? cluster, eagle napalm, supply pack w/gas grenades

    I've recently dropped in to a fair percentage (around 33%) of diff 10 Illuminate missions that had zero support weapons in the usual spots - have you ever run into this, where you search the entire city and can't find an EAT/MG43 or Arc thrower anywhere within city limits?

    Arc thrower is all that you need to beat squids
    Stunlock all type of units even tripods
    1 hit zombies
    3-4 hit overseers
    20 hits to deal with tripods
    The best armor is an arc resist armor

    I would highly recommend the Plasma Punisher for primary. Sure it's damage isn't great, but it takes out multiple enemies at a time and keeps them CC'd.

    i personally go with the smg reprimand to take out harvesters in last resort i take the stun lance for last resort and impact grenades to take out illuminate encampments for stratagems i take orbital railcannon strike for my main harvester killer and orbital lazer to clear the large 3 ship illuminate encampments, the stalwart for hoard clear and to take out the overseers same goes with the guard dog with the machinegun.

    You can brute force illuminate if you have the supply pack and mid mg and one of the mg sentry and an eagle strafing or 500kg

    Lib-Guard dog, HMG, Eagle-Strafe, MG sentry, Scorcher Plasma Primary, Stun Spear Secondary, Impact frags, with engineering kit passive for extra nades. My go to loadout for squids and it covers all enemy types for Illuminate, so far I almost always get the most kills over the randoms I play with too by like at least a 100+ You spend less time running from voteless because of mg sentry, guard dog, impact nades and stun spear and have more time to focus fire important targets, Lib-guard dog also excellent at killing overseers and the observers too. Please give it a try, I feel like its a super good build.

    I bring 4 turrets and grab whatever MG is at a POI. Bunkering at an objective makes level 10 trivial.

    Medium MG, Scorcher, Grenade pistol, try to use the scorcher on the overseers, you can pick whatever for the rest works best IMHO. EDIT: I take your point that you can get an Medium MG in mission but it just works so well against everything it makes sense to take it from the start.

      I recommend the diligence counter sniper, two hits overseers to the head and deletes other enemies. Aside from that I recommended the med pen liberator tbh.

      depends on what you're trying to do, fortunately we have a lot of options leading up to Plas-1 in the Mobilize Warbond!
      - SG-8 Punisher (Page 1, 4 medals) is a great first unlock, shot with round reload, light penetration and good for clearing out chaff.
      - Both the Diligence (Page 2, 8 medals) & Diligence Counter Sniper (Page 7, 40 medals) are solid medium range semi auto rifles, former has light pen, latter is medium pen.
      - SG-225 Breaker (Page 4, 20 medals) is a full auto shotgun with mag reload and medium pen, huuuge chaff clearing option.
      - Liberator Penetrator (Page 6, 40 medals) is a solid full auto assault rifle with medium pen.

    Omfg, i thought i was the only one for illuminate!!!
    For team loadouts: the 500kg or eagle strafe, heavy AP turret, gatling, and MG turret. I just use whatever i find for support weapon out in the field.
    Wtf is with the firepower of the scorcher for illuminate?! Lol

    I know a reason you donr need strafing run, bring any orbital barrage and you just kill the ships instead of having to do it manually, and any MG on the ground can deal with the harvester shield and kill it

    Why waste a stratagem to kill ship shields when you have almost infinite ammo playing solo ? Even in a team of four, I just spam shoot shields with my primary (or MG if I have one), then toss a grenade inside. Simple and effective. Those energy shields die fast with suppressive fire (mainly kinetic weapons I reckon but I haven't tested extensively).

    500 kg is ass against squids, it doesn't consistently kill harvesters or bases, which is the only thing you need it for, 120, walkomg barrage, laser all have way more utility

    11:43 why in all the heavens wouldnt you use your jumppack here?! its like the single best spot to use it i have ever seen in all of helldivers. this is beyond me. smh and screwing up some neckbones doing so.

    For me Illuminate is the faction where im just always pushing, with my Loadout getting killstreaks left and right. Deals with everything but you have to have aim. My record is 1027 kills, my 3 Teammates each got 2-300 haha

    Wasp launcher is underrated for squids imo
    My load out is
    - STA smg for hordes
    - impact incendiary grenades for hordes
    - wasp launcher for 1 shot quick kills against drones and overseas, can also be used for harvesters if desperate
    - 500kg, laser for harvesters
    - sentry for support
