the best race mentality is when someone is in front of you they just become another obstacle same as a rock or a tree.....good call there is no time for waiting in line when your racing that's when you have to get real creative.....and after you get really good at it you can print the words ....SEE YA....on the back of your leathers...sweeeeet
Great ride awesome coverage. I like the few frount end wash out. I have had a few myself. Best one I had going through mud patch and lost it. Get up mud all over me fun times.
Yeah it was one of those races line choice was key and getting up front front the start. Sometime it worked out and sometime it did not. I need to work on my starts in the off season.
Looks like lots of fun. Your line at 21:32 was sheer brilliance. On a side note this was a total jackass maneuver by whomever that is 18:48. Totally uncalled for in a Vet C class race.
@@ataschereau5xj Just got to 47:52. Yeah, I agree with you, that looked assholian as well. Damn, I'm old, but this makes me want to do some of these races. I'm amazed with all that mud, your camera remained virtually spotless. 🤣
Fresh tires ? Your front looks under sprung, in that it dives. Its also quick to rebound by what I see. Its like your mid stroke and the front is packed unloads squirting the front tire to wash/push. I think a less reactive or nervous front is best. Stablizer is a must even if its the Honda style their a must have. Good ride
The rear at81ex had a race on it and the front x31 has many races on it. My suspension is due for an overhaul. It came with the ktech orvs done on the forks and a ktech bladder kit and kyb conversion on the rear shock. The bike is lowered 1 inch as well internally with shorter springs. I have a Scotts stabilizer already. I'm interested in any suggestions you have for me for my next round of suspension work. I'm tempted to go back to the stock height.
Your bike has explorer forks or the version of KTM I installed Luck cartridges which upgrade your forks to KYB type and that issue your experiencing will go away or try springs that are for you weight and update your shim stack to match. Your a really good rider a couple tweeks and a good start and you'll win
I've ran the non cheater Shinko as my dual sport turkey run tire but I've never tried the cheater front in a race. I've stuck to the new x31 and I like it.

So true just need to pick the right line around the chaos. 🤘🏻

at the exit of the very first corner there's a guy on the inside, number 31, looks like he's wearing the same merrell hiking boots I have lmao
Were you there?
@@ataschereau5xj nope just noticed him your clip right there. I did notice however that the Dam Good isn't on the schedule for this year.
