I've been studying on my own interior design. I don't know if I would have mixed metals in the kitchen between stainless steel and the brass of the light fixtures. I like the tree house feel of these three floor models. If you keep the downstairs as a bedroom, but use it as an office, you separate work from private spaces. The lack of a yard can be a bonus. There still is something tight about the 3 floor plans. The best one I've seen is that one model from Edward homes, where the living and kitchen are on the 1st, the master on the second and the remainder of the bedrooms on the 3rd.
I spoke with a sales representative from KB Home and they mentioned that buying land is getting very expensive so they are shifting towards homes that takes up less lot size. They are doing this by building communities with homes that more of a side yard or these 3-story homes with no yards.

I personally like the floor plans at Blacktail by Pulte homes for 3-story homes. They seem to be very practical and well laid out.
