As others have mentioned, dust the raspberries with flour before incorporating them into the cake mixture so they don't sink to the bottom. Works also with nuts, raisins, and other cake-goodies.
3/4 of this country is overweight or obese, has anyone controlled for that in a study because it has to be a significant contributor to low sperm counts
The phenomenon is happening across the entire west though, not just the US. It would be good to study that effect, but the fact it’s happening in a Europe, Australia, and NZ as well would seem to imply it’s not obesity.
We know obese men have lower sperm count, so that's part of it. There is much more to lifestyle than that: inactivity, too much sitting and too little exercise, unhealthy eating, too much time spent inside, lack of sleep, mental health, and more. Then there are chemicals, which may also play some probably minor role, if indeed this is a trend that exists. As the host said, there are huge differences between the results of one lab and another, as well as between cities in the same country and so on. I say chemicals probably play a minor role because if it were this easy, you would expect a huge effect in people who are highly exposed (to BPA, say), but we've looked and... it's not that simple. Then are the studies controlled for age? Health? What about the frequency of ejaculation? If one jerks off twice daily, you know... and how is the change distributed? All go down? Some drop a lot and most not at all? These sort of reviews must be taken with much scepticism, and as always "more research is needed".
It is a super complicated issue. Pesticides and such have been shown to act like synthetic estrogens and studies have show rural farm areas have lower fertility rates amongst men than urban. Still, it would be nice to see how those results hold up considering the flaws you pointed out. Still, I do remember an article that made a big deal about Canada banning rubber ducky importing. It just seemed so weird. After reading it though, it was a bit shocking. It seemed, that Europe banned the a decade before hand and Canada finally did it as they were one of the few remaining countries left so they were worried they would become a dumping ground for them. What was all the hysteria about rubber duckies? Well, it seems that the material they were made out of leached synthetic estrogen and could affect male growth. Especially if licked or chewed on. It's like they were specifically made to dose babies with estrogens. So, yes, the subject is complicated.
It is probably even easier then pesticides acting like estrogen. Pesticides are poison whose dose is theoretically to small to actively kill larger animals but it is still poison with all the normal side effects like killing things so is it any wonder that something small like sperm might die if exposed to the chemicals in pesticides even after it has been metabolized. Way too much pseudo science and misinformation have grown up around estrogen and testosterones in relation to fertility that it is blamed way more often then it is actually the problem. Sorry the alpha male idiots dosing themselves with testosterone needlessly is a sore point for me especially since elevated testosterone is more likely to lead to infertility then elevated estrogen in an otherwise healthy male.
@@FakeSchrodingersCat I don't think the estrogen is meant to be a major issue in adulthood. I think the science behind why it can have a negative effect of male fertility is from how it effects children growing into adulthood.
Also material made out of GoreTex, specifically Teflon, has plastic chemicals that will stay in your body forever and cause endocrine disruption. It includes some waterproof sportswear (it is being phased out however), floss, and some non-stick pans. Try your absolute best to store all of your food away from plastic materials, most of the plastics haven't even been studied that well, and the ones that we have studied are horrifying, specifically PVC plastic.
It's caused not only by exposure to EDCs, but also by smoking or being overweight. Which are all things you can avoid. Exposure to EDCs is also avoidable by not cooking in non-stick pans, and limiting plastic products.
Varicoceles are also a cause. Perhaps a lot of men are walking around with undiagnosed and untreated varicoceles. The size of the varicocele does not correlate with (in)fertility: some men with large varicoceles do not have male subfertility; whereas other men with small-grade or subclinical varicoceles have marked male subfertility. Lifestyle factors play a role: a smoker or heavy drinker with a varicocele will have poorer spermatozoa quality than a clean living man with varicocele. Dietary antioxidants from (preferably pesticide-free: organic certified) vegetables and fruits help to protect spermcells from freeradical damage and oxidative stress caused by varicoceles. Thankfully, varicoceles are readily treated by outpatient surgery (microsurgical varicocelectomy or embolisation).
I’m one male who has become effected with low sperm counts. My mother took DES when she was pregnant with me. As a result my right testis failed to develop at all causing the the testis to remain in it early gonad tissue form. In addition the other testis did develop as such but only matured to about half of normal size for an adult male. As an adult I did marry and we even managed to product two children over a protracted time frame so it is posable to have children in such cases. The othe side is this has caused me much pain in the form of corrective surgeries and later in life stage three cancer. This cancer took the form of testicular/ ovarian cancer. My surgeries and treatments have taken a whole life time and even a few years ago I was still getting repairs done to correct damage done in early surgeries. If that were not enough the phycological horror of even having your own mother tell you she wished she had not given birth to you because of all the suffering I’ve had to deal with. The good news is we did manage to have two wonderful children. Both appear totally normal with no side effects related to this. Our daughter has had three children all of who are normal as far as we can see. Twenty four years ago I was given only two months to live because of the advanced cancer but I survived the massive surgeries and chemo. All is not hopeless yet at the same time this is very much could be the face of human sexual developments. The truth is I am intersex making me not male nor female, it is not a state I would ever ask for myself but it is who I am. I’ve managed to hold the love of my wife of forty years and the love of people around me. It is what it is.
I love how so many of these comments are trying to blame US-centric problems for the decline. It’s a phenomenon sweeping the entire west, not just the US.
How about you lot worldwide hate YAHWEH EL ELOHIM and His Holy Word and He is getting tired of humanity becoming evil and unrepentant of said evil, thus He has allowed you to die in your sins, which also means low fertility rates for humankind?

She’s already one of my pop-sci educators, already up there with Hank Green, but not quite at the level of Tom Scott yet. Not sure how to quantify it, but she has the right voice pitch that’s easy to stay focused on
One thing that was not mentioned in this video which I am curious about is, wether these studies also take the age factor in to account. Like, 40 years ago the baby boomer gen was about 20 years old a.k.a in their prime fertility. Now they are about 60 years old a.k.a near the end of their fertility. This could have a major impact on the end result of these studies if not accounted for.
I would imagine that they are not literally testing the same people.... They probably tested a group of 20 year olds 40 years ago and then 'another' group of 20 year olds to obtain a % today You're right that testing that same original group who are now 60, would be an almost pointless exercise. That said, Mick Jagger.
I can almost guarantee that was taken into account. As far as variables go, its an extremally obvious one, and relatively easy to account for (I'm assuming they have basic data about their subjects)
@@thebigpicture2032 Not in my country. Anyway, the average age has significantly increased in pretty much all of the mentioned countries. And the amount of people nearing infertility or lessened fertility (due to age) in regard to the overall population is alot higher today then it was some 40 years ago.
I’m pretty unconvinced by the inaccuracy and variability in sperm count measurements discounting the issue of lowering sperm counts, because on an individual scale yes those measurements are inaccurate but when you average it across thousands of tests it can accurately show an overall trend. Not an Armageddon but an area of concern.
Accuracy and precision aren't synonymous. Just because the counts accurately reflect a general reduction doesn't mean that they weren't taken at the same lull for every participant. Further, considering male hormonal cycles have only been scientifically observed for the last ~50 years there could be other influences on low counts. It is entirely possible that patient unwillingness to admit failed conception attempts could tamper with the sampling of these types of studies. It is far from unreasonable to say, "sperm count is too hit and miss to make a strong correlation between lower overall counts and lower fertility rates." It could also mark a stronger tilt toward viable production instead of bulk production.
@@andrewmeeks6938 I think it would be incredibly unlikely that every patients results were taken during a lull, but not absolutely impossible especially if there is a seasonal component to sperm count (is anyone aware of seasonality affecting sperm count?). It's hard to say without knowing the methodology of these studies. It would be nice to have a meta study comparing the existing studies.
@@darkzap10 actually there's literature on exactly this topic, and there's ancestral, physiological/psychiatric, and birth related trends that indicate a corollary between annual phases and hormone levels. In most mammalian species, menses occurs at an annual schedule rather than monthly. Only primates, bats, elephant shrews, and one spiny mice species really have documented monthly periods. Outside of this females only exhibit fertility according to a "heat" cycle, and males seem to exhibit a similar flux in androgen expression throughout the calendar. Furthermore, most mammals show annual peak and valley trends of progenizing, while other species that have a dormancy cycle dictated by ambient temperature mirror the mammalian fluctuation by dictate of physics. In humans, birth rates peak around the summer months which tends to be the outlier, because we built houses around 20,000 years ago and sex is a great way to keep warm and entertain oneselves. Outside of this though mammalian species tend to give birth in the spring which indicates an evolutionary relation to the benefits of young rearing during the gentler spring and summer months. There are even studies suggesting that other species exhibit signs of Seasonal Affective Disorder in relation to this very real annual fluctuation of hormones. So all things being considered it is very possible that these types of studies just capture data weirdly.
In Switzerland litreraly no one is obese but we have the worse sperm count in Europe. The main reason is apparently because we (the swiss), use a lot of cleaning products that are endocrine disruptors (and that's feminizing men).
I think I've mastered the art of maximizing my sperm count. I applied to a sperm bank and they tested my sperm. They said that the average person has 60-80 million sperm, but you need 100 million to qualify as a donor, which is above average. They tested mine at 432 million, which is pretty good. Here's what I do: I eat 100% organic, no pesticides 98% of the time. I've been eating/drinking USDA organic food for 5 years at this point. I only drink Mountain Valley Water, bottled in glass. I avoid anything with chemicals, meaning that I only use the most natural soap and hygiene products, detergent, house cleaning chemicals, sunscreens, etc. I've searched far and wide for the absolute most natural products for each category possible and exclusively use those. I get calcium fluoride toothpaste imported from Europe. I also completely avoid polyester clothing. I make sure I get plenty of Sun everyday and stay active as well. There's a lot of other things I do but basically I avoid chemicals in every way possible. I'm a 25-year-old Caucasian male
Regarding BPA, wouldn't sperm count fall in Asia as well as they use a lot of plastics too? Or is it because the lack or research in non western countries? If there's a difference between wester and non west, maybe it's not because of BPA but other lifestyle factors?

Zinc, Sperm and Glyphosate as chelating agent. Sperm requires Zinc to be produced. Unfortunately, our intensive agriculture process leverages the use of Glyphosate. One of many side effect of Glyphosate is that it is a chelating agent to many nutrients like Zinc. Glyphosate effect is cumulative and does not just affect plants, but also animals... More globally, all living things on Earth.
Its pretty likely that most of the infertility issues come form excess sugar intake and to little exercise. people are poorly educated, and modern life allows us to be so inactive. people require discipline and motivation.
Everyone is recommending the flour trick, but you can also use powdered sugar. Another trick would be to pop your raspberries in the oven for on a low temp liking your drying them, by reducing their water content you not only increase the potency of their flavor but increase their buoyancy considerably by reducing their water weight which makes them heavier than the sugars and fats in dough. This is why many mass produced "fruit" in the dough products use a jelly mediated by flour in place of real fruit.
It took me until the end of the video to realize that I, a single woman, have no reason to watch this. But it was still very informative and I liked the cake metaphor.
Here is a mindbender, it has always been about the same percent of people that can get pregnant within a year. So what if we are evolving to have quality over quantity? Heh, sure the conventional measures seem questionable, but the result in the time frame seems to be about the same. The biggest difference is that fewer people are choosing to have children and birth control is approaching ideal.
@@catatoblob8598 perhaps, took 30-40 generations to domesticate wolves. While that is true for natural selection, no such rules apply to artificial selection. This is interesting. It only skims the surface, At the start of the video you pointed at some specific countries. What do those countries have in common?
I'm guessing it's that those are the countries we actually have to data to be able to do a past to present comparison, and it's less that it's only happening in those countries and more that it's only being measured in those countries.
The research she is referencing looked at sperm counts in "Western countries" (i.e. US, Canada, Australia, NZ, western Europe) and "other" (i.e. any other country).

Or the feminisation of men in general. Those sports and high energy activities absolutely do make a difference. What portion of men has moved from physical work to desk-bound work with little physical activity?
There's a lot of reasons why humans are becoming infertile. The main one is the ingestion of microplastics, pollution and phtalates (present in makeup, everything made out of plastic). The secondary reasons are : bad diet, lack of exercice, stress, alcool and smoking. I work in a career that deals with RF radiation. There was an unverified theory that the radiation affected mens sperm so they had more girls than boys. This seems to hold true as me and many of my co-workers had girls. But, as soon as I was promoted to a desk job away from the radiation, we had a boy. The whole thing may be apocryphal, but it seems to follow that trend. More research!
There are also similar stories detailing how excessive hot tub use made guys infertile, but after not using hot tubs as often, the men could get their wives pregnant. Except, these stories are actually found in a scientific paper. There are also similar stories of bakers being infertile, changing jobs or even retiring, and then being able to have kids. Reason why is because the frequent heat causes the sack to get too hot to make sperm, but once the frequent heat exposure stops for a few months, sperm can be made again. Some men have even taken advantage of this for contraception which they can then reverse when ready for children. I think this male heat contraception needs more research, as it’s much more promising than the pill ever was imo.
Another question, what were the ages in the data groups as of each sampling, and when and how many samples were there? Statistics can skew results in data if not careful. The age of a man can affect his sperm count.
Love this woman's sense of humor! Wonder why a woman takes on men's problem though? The door in her room looks heavily painted and that broomstick on the corner is icing on the cake haha. Quite informative in all due seriousness. Yes, something must be done to help with infertility overall.

I skimmed this video and did about as much research as the producers who interviewed one person and then spent most of the video talking about sampling issues instead of current trends...so thanks for nothing?
Video does not help to be more aware of all poisons we normally take with food, drinks and bad habits. I know statistic can be whore science but we are still in front of fact that families tend to have 1 child only what is not enough for normal reproduction.
Actually, there’s an inverse correlation between income and number of children. This is true on a global scale and within each measured country. People who can afford kids tend to have the least.

Overstimulation and instant gratification due to adult websites including excessive ejaculation without the intent to reproduce will utterly but slowly destroy the ability for sperm to be produced in the testicles every 64 days. I highly suggest that you exercise self-control and discipline in this aspect of your anatomy. When you ejaculate frequently, you deny yourself the ability to produce healthy sperm cells, you experience brain fog, you loose minerals, and you become tired all the time. Who gets tired first when sexual expression occurs between a man and a woman? Think again! I'm not a health specialist, but based on extensive research, you can reset the sperm reproduction clock by retaining your sperm for at least 64 days to produce new healthy sperm cells. Make it a lifestyle and watch what happens.

Best tip for suspending berries in cake: Don't use fresh berries. Make a fruit compote. Add that the cake mixture. Second best tip: if you want actual whole berries, coat them in flour, stir them in just before you put the mixture in the pan. Third best tip: coat berries in flour, then add to the batter in layers. Put some batter in, then drop in some berries. Cover with batter. Repeat. This might work in more liquid batter, but is more tedious.

You're missing the context that that only applies to when people feel entitled to an opinion that suppresses the rights of others. How is discounting the hype around "spermageddon" with data and an expert on the field (who is a man) suppressing the rights of anyone?
I find it curious if not amusing that with a channel name like “Cheddar” that you steered clear of the problems affecting the dairy states of which dairy consumption would also include the United States as well as Switzerland, Denmark, Norway, Sweden, Germany, France, Italy, UK, Australia, Mexico. In other words where cheese consumption is at its highest too. Why? Before the hamburger stands popped up and the pizza craze, the average person was not putting cheese on so very much. But in order for cows to give milk, they are either pregnant or have given birth to a calf. Though the calf is carted off so that the dairy farmer gets her milk, nevertheless, with our without the calf by her side, the removal of the milk via mechanical milking maintains the same high estrogen levels. Ah, but cows are bovine and not human. Yes, and no, as mammalian estrogens have much the same effect when eaten. But why is cheese a problem. Cheese is concentrated milk. So it takes roughly ten times the qty in net weight of liquid milk to be crammed into a pound of cheese. So that concentrates the casein, the whey, the milk solids, the fat, the calcium but also estrogen. We have cheese on cheese burgers, on salads, lasagne, au gratin potatoes, grilled cheese sandwiches, we spread cream cheese on bagels, and loads of this stuff on the top of pizza. Moreover the crusts now are stuffed with cheese. Mexican food is popular also and cheese is in tacos, burritos, nachos, enchiladas, taco salads. So there is a TON more cheese being consumed than during the first years of the Baby Boom after WWII. This high animal estrogen diet isn’t mentioned but men eating much cheese as well as drinking milk, ice cream, milk shakes, cheesecake - are getting way more mammalian estrogen which feminizes the men, may cause the growth of breast tissue and also retards sperm counts. Does it lead to sexual confusion? One never knows what total effects it has on you until you give it up. High dairy consumption plays a role in breast cancer as right when women are going into menopause, they are eating yogurt. I did, worried about my bones, etc. My sister and my mother when they were alive were doing the same thing, plus drinking milk, eating loads of cheese. Lots of fat in that cheese. We were all obese. And they both died of breast cancer. They also developed arthritis, and so did I, I was in a wheelchair and my hands were nearly useless, could barely sign my name. Move Free no longer worked. I had allergy tests run, no allergies except to pollens. But I decided to do an elimination diet to see what foods might be bothering my arthritis so I chose dairy foods as I had a hard time drinking milk as a child. It would make me throw up, and constipated constantly with enemas. No way to live but my mother was determined this was “healthy”. In 3 weeks of quitting all dairy, my hands were beginning to feel better, and I could walk again. By the end of three months I was able to walk the dog and my signature looked normal once more. I eventually went vegan. My husband got prostate cancer, his was stage 4 so he had the surgery as we had no time to waste. He’s cancer free but is on almond milk now, I drink soy milk. After 5 years for him and it is 10 years for me, we are off of dairy. My cholesterol has come down too as well as for him. We take no meds, his asthma went away and it was really bad. I’m no longer constipated which is a first in my life to be normal. But we are not the only ones who have many recoveries giving up dairy. There are many others. In countries which do no dairy like China, sperm counts are not a catastrophe. Yes, due to pollution, etc., you mentioned, are not good for humans either. So If I don’t cook it, we basically don’t eat it. We do eat out once a week or so but eat no meat then either and certainly no cheese. There is a reason why women after menopause get cancer is that we are supposed to have a rest from estrogen as we are not able then to get pregnant. As estrogen is a growth promoter and dairy reacts to humans with a lot of IGF1, which is Insulin-like growth factor. This is what cancer cells multiply in and without consuming dairy, people can avoid cancer. My sister was five years my senior, she died at age 64, I am now 69, she’s dead ten years and her breast cancer metastisized to her bones and her brain. She died in agony. And the whole time there was milk on her tray in the hospital. Why don’t hospitals know this? Are well people like me making them any money. They make money hand over fist. My mother died of a completely shattered femur. Turns out dairy calcium isn’t the best thing for keeping bones strong, but leafy greens are. I had a broken ankle which healed after I discovered kale. The doctors replaced her bone, did another hip replacement as her bone had shrunk away from the first implant and with her diabetes and that milk ever present on her tray, she could not heal. She died in a coma. Lost her mind totally. There are young women who get rid of endometriosis also which is causing them to get hysterectomies before age 30. The story is on the FCRM channel. She went on a dairy-free low fat diet, ditched all animal protein too. And she no longer needed a hysterectomy. If dairy was that wonderful these awful things would not be happening to people!!!! There are many ways to make money. Farmers in California in my area used to have a whole lot of cows, now they are turning their dairy farms into almond orchards. The plant-based milks are selling, vegan food sections are expanding in the super markets as people are tired of being fat and feeling sick. Do the world a favor and tell the side of the people like me, who now live a medication-free life because I stopped using dairy altogether. What am I missing? Cancer, asthma, eczema, split heels, dandruff, dry skin, wrinkles, being fat. If missing those things is not worth it what is? The food is still delicious. All the seasonings we use are the same, herbs and spices and the food industry has done great things like Boca Burger and Gardein and Morning Star Farms, Fieldroast, Daiya. There are fruits and veggies we eat now we never ate much of before and are enjoying them. Two of our three sons have given up drinking milk too and feel better. One was getting arthritis, the other has IBS (Irritable Bowel Syndrome). The youngest one isn’t old enough for all the symptoms. But he knows that Mom just keeps her wheelchair as a conversation piece. How many people do you know who got free of their wheelchair because they were devoted to dairy? I want people to experience pain-free without ibuprofen or Tylenol and certainly no codeine. We have 4 grandkids and just found out the youngest one is having their first baby. Well it’s his wife, of course. Think about it.

@Ben Dover Yep, and they're in the blood of almost every person in Western societies!

Millenials outnumber Boomers. I’m sure age would be controlled for.
I would imagine that they are not literally testing the same people.... They probably tested a group of 20 year olds 40 years ago and then 'another' group of 20 year olds to obtain a % today
You're right that testing that same original group who are now 60, would be an almost pointless exercise. That said, Mick Jagger.
Most boomers like me are more probably in their mid '70's. I'd be interested in a study of Japan and Germany after the war.
Well, that was the overall conclusion. It needs more research.
@@darkzap10 just to be clear, I shorthanded the corollary between testosterone levels and sperm gamete production.

Regarding BPA, wouldn't sperm count fall in Asia as well as they use a lot of plastics too? Or is it because the lack or research in non western countries? If there's a difference between wester and non west, maybe it's not because of BPA but other lifestyle factors?

Another trick would be to pop your raspberries in the oven for on a low temp liking your drying them, by reducing their water content you not only increase the potency of their flavor but increase their buoyancy considerably by reducing their water weight which makes them heavier than the sugars and fats in dough. This seems to hold true as me and many of my co-workers had girls. But, as soon as I was promoted to a desk job away from the radiation, we had a boy. The whole thing may be apocryphal, but it seems to follow that trend. More research!
Apocryphal> How so?

Actually, there’s an inverse correlation between income and number of children. This is true on a global scale and within each measured country.
People who can afford kids tend to have the least.
Just get more money

Personal story. Me and my wife have been trying to conceive for about three years now. All the trying, nothing. I was referred to give a sample (awful experience!) and all results came (ahem) back fine. My wife also has had no indications of issues on her end either. Long story short, no one knows anything, we're on our own and the world is crap. Maybe not bringing children into it is for the best.....
Nice props in the video BTW. Really liked it.
Edit: After four years of trying my wife gave birth to a beautiful baby girl last night. We were about to explore IVF last year before getting the good news of a successful pregnancy. It was a long and difficult road but it worked out in the end. So happy. 🥰🥰
What about IVF?
Just forget about it and have alot of awesome sex n enjoy eachother XD
Yeah just don’t bring kids into this world. There’s already enough humans and humanity is a plague to earth. Just enjoy having mind blowing sex without the worry of getting pregnant. Just stay safe from STDs and know what’s in your swamp.

I wouldn't be surprised if there was a decline in sperm count based on stress levels increasing, but i would be surprised if it was a major problem
Bro, men in the world war probably had a higher sperm count than men that have to sit in a cubicle for 40 hours a week
Have you ever been only listening to a vid on UA-cam and an ad starts playing yet you don’t realize it for a moment or two bc the music in the ad is highly similar to the background music in the video? And then you start hearing the ad swear and have to skip it. I wonder if this is planned to make you listen to the bloody incessant ads.

@@paxhumana2015 I'm not sure if you're replying to me, but no. I had my vasectomy long before the show was a glint in the producers eye. 😉

I'm sorry but that music choice belongs to The Social Streamers only, I cant hear it outside one of their videos

Male Fertility Drop has to do with 1. Food & Nutrition 2. Health 3. Sex (too much makes the body immune weak)
To avoid your raspberries sinking to the bottom of your cake Cheddar, replace 10 of the flour with pre-gelatenized starch. It will cause the cake to be more like a gel when it's unbaked (you can make it yourself. Mix your star h of choice with water in the ratio of 1:3 and cook it on the stove until it is entirely turned into a gel. Dry it in the oven.)
Love your topics and your presentation styles. Great way ahead. Cheers.
Is this "womansplaining?"
You mentioned that this is only really a problem in North America, Western Europe and Aus? But why?
And this is why the Handmaid’s Tale spooks me out.
I believe sperm analysis will probably get more funding. Because of global depopulation, many countries are interested in ways of increasing their baby count.
I’m not too concerned about male fertility, I’m more interested in male birth control
THIS! I am still bothered by men who refuse to wear condoms...
And my ex bf refusing to wear a condom is the reason why i never slept with him..
Research into fertility can lead to development in birth control.
Start at 6:55 for the real news, the rest is fluff and video clickbait. I have now banned Cheddar from appearing on my UA-cam suggested videos.
This is a cool topic and interesting content covered here - But, this presenter took about 4x longer than she should've for this. Did she really need to elaborate on sampling bias, that much? Did they really have to run that sampling bias analogy by the doctor? It's called sampling bias because of the bias of the sample, pretty straightforward...
Yes, because media sensationalism is half the point of the video, and lot of people have misconceptions about what scientific results mean. Reiterating this stuff and explaining it in accessible terms is a key part of good popular science outreach. You and I might not need it, but you and I are not a representative sample of the audience.
@@talideon My point was more about the excessive media sensationalism used in argument to excessive media sensationalism, and less about the information covered. I think the information and content is totally relevant, but the delivery of this material was not for me. Especially when as you said, half the point of the video was that the media overhyped the science involved.
The one other big category I would be curios to see more research on, other than just the possibility of plastics and fertilizers affecting sperm count, is the effect of excess dairy and/or soy products on it as well.

This is one of those perennial news stories that pops up every couple of years and gets a burst of renewed worried attention, then fades. I remember people fretting about it in the 1990s--Matt Lauer saying on the Today Show that it might be the end of human civilization.
Gentlemen! Stop consuming hot stuff from plastic containers, junk food e g: Everything McDonald's, KFC and the likes, high sugar foods, alcoholic drinks and deep fried stuff. Instead consume water, vegetables, fruits and boil your meat rather than deep fry it. Eat as much organic food as possible and avoid processed and packaged food if you can.
Finally, exercise!

Boiling meat aint great. Using plastic for food is not great as well.

Yeah, boiling just sucks all the nutrients out of food. It's only a good option if you're making soup, because all the nutrients are in the broth.
Instead, one can grill, bake, or sautée meats.

How does the liability exempt safe and effective afect it?

Very fun & informative video, I really liked the animated green onions.
I wonder how much female hormones, like those found in birth control, are affecting the sperm issues. Maybe something to do with water contamination by these hormones is affecting men? Or perhaps the mother is exposed to an elevated amount of these hormones during pregnancy, and that influences it
Yep they don’t want to talk about that though.
They just blame men for everything
@@baw-mq4bt lmao what, any evidence for your delusional statements?? any scientific studies?
@@r3d0c I'm not agreeing with them, just a heads up that you encourage insults over sharing sources when you start out by admitting a bias and belittling someone (in your case, using the word "delusional" in the first sentence).
It's unnecessarily antagonistic and runs counter to any scientific curiosity. Others may make premature or odd conclusions based on the world around them, but you can sometimes get them to point you to the information that led them down that path and learn something you didn't know before (even if you'd still disagree with then afterwards)
I mean, it's not like you're dealing with a flat earther (I hope)
Just some well-intentioned advice from someone inquisitive and critical.
There are some chemicals like BPA and PCBs that are appear to your body to be estrogen. They're called xenoestrogens, and exposure to them (e.g. drinking from a plastic water bottle that has BPA) has measurable effects.
It is entirely possible that exposure to them could result in lowered sperm count.
Why UA-cam is saying that this video is related to the COVID-19 vaccine?
Excellent video, well explained, thank you.🌹
I heard if you coat the berry's in flower it'll better integrate with the mixture instead of falling to the bottom
Well, if we were to research sperm too much, then that would be sexist.
What makes you think that? If anything, it will put less blame on women should a couple have problems to conceive, since women have been blamed for millennia when the can't have kids.
Best tip for suspending berries in cake:
Don't use fresh berries.
Meanwhile the East just keeps chugging along.
It’s likely a homeostatic mechanism when the population gets too large. Who Cares anyway, people don’t want to have kids now anyway. A dog delivers more enjoyment and more loyalty.
I thought people were not entitled to give option about something or somebody they are not or haven't experienced, but apparently it only applies to white, heterosexual males. Everybody else can give opinions about anything and anybody else. Hypocrisy and cinism at its finest.
You're missing the context that that only applies to when people feel entitled to an opinion that suppresses the rights of others. How is discounting the hype around "spermageddon" with data and an expert on the field (who is a man) suppressing the rights of anyone?
What about the documented drop in testosterone levels? Are the 2 related?
I see this as nature balancing the population. As humans have better lives, they live much longer. So, there is no need for having more babies.
Yeah probably just natural selection
Not the case, more old people and less kids is a recipe for disaster. Ask China and Japan.
