Yes, after i heard the Electric truck nonsense comments i was ready to get off. They make me LAUGH, that 5.6 will be running like new when the eco-boost needs a complete overhaul for 10 grand!! They need to review the Ford electric truck FLOP!!!! The good Ford mechanic on YT has a 70K 6 grand tune up for the eco-boost, LOL I just gave them a thumbs DOWN!!!

I got my Titan SL for $43,000 which is far better pricing than Ford, Ram and GM could dream of offering. I have lower back issues and the zero gravity seats are the most comfortable of the other 3 brands I test drove before buying. I'm really surprised these guys pooped on the seats and then praised the Ram interior bc the Ram seats are just not good and haven't been for about 10+ years now. To your credit, yes it's all about a battle of inches for any PU and that's where the 5 yr 100,000 mi Nissan warranty comes in (That is bumper to bumper btw). Also, unless you're buying the biggest engine in the other brands, you simply will not get the same power (and you pay a hell of a lot more for those but they are NOT as reliable). As for towing, yes a Ford can technically tow more than the 9,000lbs but every review I've seen says the truck just does not like it and it "feels" really sketchy while towing max weight. Titan is the only full sized PU to offer rack & pinion steering (not computer) which was huge in my book. Last but not least is the interiors on my last 3 Nissan cars & trucks stayed intact up to 140,000 - 300,000 miles. Can't say that about my Chevy nor my friends Fords and especially the Ram, those things just fall apart around you. P.S. I really like the shifter especially w/ the available manual shifter option. You can keep your bougie man bun dial knob.

    These guys DON’T know trucks.
400 HP / 413 ft lbs on premium.
    390 HP/ 394 ft lbs on regular.
NOT a huge difference. It has a modern engine and trans. Modern tech. It’s not from 10 years ago.
You ask why buy the Titan? If you want a gas 1/2 ton V8 it’s has a far superior engine to the RAM 5.7, and GM 5.3. Not because of power but because of long term reliability.
GM, and RAM still haven’t perfected their active fuel management. Lifters seizing and wiping out cam lobes isn’t good and they have both had that problem. The Ford Coyote V8 is a good contender for the Nissan V8.
The Titan interior is every bit as nice as the current fords. Yes Ford has a bigger screen coming but it’s not here yet.
Again excellent truck if you are shopping for a gas V8 1/2 ton. It’s definitely worth a look.

You forgot longer warranty and killer discount! FYI. I'm taking my 2018 F150 lariat with almost 19k miles to dealer for recall and warrenty service today. The list of recall and TSB is long. From seat belt that can catch fire after collision to door latch can't open in freezing weather and transmission that shift funky @3-4 gear and loose nut or bolt that roll back and forth under instrument cluster when making turn. I also have a leaky drive shaft @ front passenger side that leak grease from the transfer case side. ( both CV boots are not torn)
I'm not a brand loyal person. I got my f150 at a good deal and when my ESP is done... this F150 will also be done. I will look at the Titian next....

This has to be one of the most annoying car/truck reviews I've watched...ever! And I am a review junkie. Only 2 car snobs can take a genuinely great truck and call it names, tear it down tell it it's nothing great for 20 minutes, and then come back at the end and say "this is a good truck", ha. I literally kept cringing the longer I listened. Any other reviewer of this truck specifically calls out the value this truck delivers at the price. Not to mention you can get these 10-15k off sticker which makes them a no-brainer!
The beauty of the Titan is that it's not an F150, Ram, or Chevy. It's something different. I've never heard someone say that driving a Titan is boring. In fact, it's always the opposite. The Titan is a great, reliable truck that does just about anything you ask it to. Including going off-road. It has a better interior than the Tundra, hands down, better looking, and better performance all-around. Out of the Japanese brands, I'd take the Titan.

If you read the fine print from the other manufacturer, the titan isn't any worse when you compare them apple to apples. For example, a ram rebel or silverado trail boss isn't going tow or haul any less or more than the Pro4x, about the same. To get the advertised towing or payload for most of the other manufacturers, you need to get some rediculous trim that nobody (your typical family haulin truck owner) wants. Nissan is taking a different approach, Instead of offering a gazillion confusing configurations, they narrowed it down to a few trim levels and standardized payload and towing across all levels. Hopefully it works for them because the biggest obstacle for nissan and toyota in this segment isnt really capabilities or technology - because they have that pretty much dialed in, it's brand loyalty.

Everything they were knocking, were things based off of personal opinion. Actual “door sticker” payload and towing, is still more than a great majority of the other trucks. My 2022 Titan xd P4x has a payload of 2,200 lbs. show me a half time of any other brand that can say that. Titan is a towing beast!!

You know that people are getting 15k+ of discounts on this truck and nobody is paying 60k for a pro4x right? You know it has major advantages to the american brands in reliability and build quality, no rust issues, and I could go on and on but it wouldnt be worthwhile if you dont know shit about trucks, I understand brand loyalty and people not buying the titan but you get alot of bang for your buck with the nissan and what matters is what you pay not MSRP.

I bought a 2019 Titan Pro4x last year, and got $14k off of sticker. They offer major incentives due to the fact that it doesn’t sell well at all. Nissan dealers will do anything to get you in one of these trucks. As for the suspension, I swapped mine out for better Bilstein shocks. The factory suspension is under damped, and results in too much bouncing. I have a video on my channel showing the difference between stock and my new shocks. It makes a world of difference.

Just tested all the brands. Bought the pro 4x. Great truck. Ram acts as if it has all the tech but to get the tech that matters i.e. adaptive cruise bsm surround view cam. Etc ur up to the high 60s in price in all the brands except Nissan and toyota. I like that toyota offers the safety package standard as does Nissan but the rest do not. I was down to the Nissan and tundra bought the Nissan because slightly smoother ride surround view cam and much better incentives and better warranty. The ford is nice but tons of wind noise in the lariat trim I drove. The ram doesn't have the reliability reputation to warrant the price. The chevy just feels awful to me and visibility is bad. I suggest drive them all weigh the pros and cons and pick what comes on top for you.

The best in class arguments are useless. I see people saying ford can tow 13k so why buy a nissan. Well 1 out of every 1,000 f150s can tow 13,000. Every titan can tow between 8-10k pounds. The same with tundra, almost the same across the board .
The average f150 can probably tow about 8500. My buddy has a 16 XLT sport with the 5.0 and its 8500. Now its 9k in 2020.

I don’t necessarily agree with their review but they aren’t exactly wrong in their assessment. The Titan is a great truck at being a truck but they are correct and that it doesn’t really do anything better than another. That’s what annoys me about the truck segment. It has become a constant attempt to one-up each other and with all the other brands, it leaves the consumer having to do a lot more research to try to determine what combination of engines, rear ends, etc...get you that “best in class towing” and such. At least with the Titan, it’s more upfront. Yes, Ford claims 13,000 lbs or something. If I’m buying a half ton, I’m not towing 13,000 lbs. I would be getting a 3/4 ton.

The Titan is a good truck, but the problem is other trucks exist. The Tundra is probably more reliable, the Ram nicer inside, Ford has more variants with tons of different configurations and GM has the 6.2 V8 which is an excellent engine. We really enjoyed testing this same Titan off-road. The rear locker makes it pretty capable and the ABLS system also works pretty well. I'd say buy the truck that fits your needs and that you can get the best deal on. For the most part any of these trucks will last at least a couple hundred thousand miles if maintained.

TestDrive is usually the best at reviewing automobiles out there, until I saw this video. Lots of complaints. This video should have come with some tissues. ;)
What do people want? They don't care about horsepower, some people don't even know horsepower is. They just want a giant tablet stuck in the center console, so they can drive their trucks/cars to show it off. Yes, it's a truck, bounces like a truck, drives like a truck, behaves like a truck because the keyword is it's a truck. If you can't handle a truck, you don't really need one. Just go with a SUV, car or minivan. Stop watering down all the trucks for city boys who just wants that status symbol. It will just jack up the sales price for everyone else. Bad, Bad Testdrive. :)

Titan doesn’t have different engines for different price entries or jobs, F150 has lower trim and cost engines NA V6 and 2.7 turbo. NA V8 for V8 lovers. Powerful turbo V6. And then Diesel. GM and RAM have also similarly variety of engines. Then domestics have long bed and short bed, and small and medium and big cabs. It’s customization of trims. And domestics have Raptors for real outdoors stuff. Titan or Toyota are left to hang on to quality as the only thing they can brag on. And new Nissan is not even quality which is why they offer longer warranty.

I ended up buying it over all of them. You can’t beat the value. I paid 50k, anything close was well over 60k. And it’s much nicer than Ford or Chevy.
And who cares it only has one engine if it’s a god engine? Why do you need so many options?
Also, it’s not “middle of the pack” with the lesser fuel, it’s like 5hp less.

Eric Richards what point was that? You said it’s like a ridgeline and it’s nothing like it. A ridgeline is a midsize SUV with a bed, and couldn’t do anything off road. The Titan Pro4x is far from that.

@@gobucs3146 I said it was a low volume vehicle with one engine and transmission package. You agreed with me, therfore proving my point. In those regards, they are the same.

i found the niche for Nissan now- ONLY rental cars. They can start their own to compete with hertz, enterprise, etc. going forward, instead of the world referring to them as rental cars, we'll just call them Nissans! They could build huge desire and exclusivity because NO ONE could own one going forward- only rent :) lol.

We’re guessing this is the first time you’ve come across our work. And we suspect you own or like this truck, which we welcome.
Our guys (Todd and Paul) have been reviewing cars and trucks of all kinds and budgets for nearly 20 years. This is our second and smaller channel of stand alone reviews . Our other channel and TV show are focused on comparisons.
They also host one of the longest running and successful automotive podcasts: “The Everyday Driver Car Debate”. They discuss pros and cons of everything they drive. Glad you found us and thanks for watching!

Nissan should be sued for false advertising. "Innovation that excites". Nissans are not innovative anymore, and certainly not exciting. I'm not even sure they're 'that' anymore. Every word in their 3 word slogan is a lie.
