If you ask me, Origin is probably the definitive version of this suit. It's the most detailed, versatile and realistically sound version by far(probably because they had the page numbers to explain the technology behind it a little bit better) and honestly, aside from FATB, this is probably my favorite variant, shoulder cannon and all. Also the metal comp's feet are weird.
your made me open up my eyes more for this model lol ive had this on my shelf and had it for 2 years now and its always looked plain compared to my ver ka kits. but since this video it made me realize how good it still is. minus the looseness on the ankles mine has.
This is a great toy for anyone like me who has never built or doesn't have time to, even for people who do build its worth picking up! Cheaper than the metal build gundams, Great review!
Amazing review as usual man!! but you forgot to mention that the shield can be stored in the bag pack when not used! either way, the review is still the the best review for the figure to date! keep up the good work man!
Those hands look super Zeon-y. Like way too round and almost leathery. You'd be better (with either version), just getting some Builder's Parts hands instead.
A gunpla store near me started selling these and I was curious....this doesn't seem to be worth around 200 euros though xD I was expecting these to be more detailed mega sized gundams for some reason.
Great review fellow collector! Amazing RX-78 like you have both and the MG 3.0 each have their pro's and cons of course to me the RX-78 Composite is more on the Metal Build line / side if you will compared to the rest of the Metal Composites which isn't a bad thing at all.............I'm torn LOL I have all of the Metal Builds but I love building the MG's customizing & painting if done right displayed behind glass its a crap shoot because both formats 1/100 look amazing. And the money lets talk the money yes the Metal Composite / Metal Builds are more expensive but when you've put your heart into a build it almost becomes priceless.................your thoughts?
He's working on it, I personally think it's a nice, however not amazing HGUC kit. It does what you expect it to do, and nothing more. I also have a text review on it at my site Manpig's Collection if that might help you.
So wait a minute, what exactly is metal/ diecast on this? Is the entire figure made of diecast? I’ve never bought a “metal composite” figure before and want to know if it’s a mix of plastic and metal or entirely metal.
The RX-78-02 though had a yellow v-fin as per the Origin manga. The nice part is that the Gundam's looks evolve over time. Something that the master grade fails to capture.
GFF: Smaller, Better Detail, Less Durable, Less Articulation = Good Display Piece RD: Bigger, Less detail (Except RD Sig ka line, those have great detail), More Durable, More Articulation = Playable Figure but can also be displayed especially the Sig Ka Line.
I have a couple of Robot Damashiis and they're great figures and super fun. Just don't know much about the GFF series and this made me curious. Thanks!
Oh i forgot to add GFFs also have more accessories and can be displayed in multiple versions. LIke Hyaku Shiki coming with parts to form the Hyaku Shiki Kai. So yeah GFF=Good display piece with multiple display options, just not very articulate, less durable and are smaller (too small for my liking).
Can we consider this as a Metal Build? Been watching reviews of this Metal Composite and this looks worth getting, trying to snag one for a decent price but after the reviews and positive things that I might go in a little extra mile in getting this.
Impossible Pie Coat the joint in either superglue or clear nail polish and let it dry for at least 30 minutes and put it back in, if it still feels loose repeat the process.
Spartan 154 as far as I remember hi-res comes with runners but gff doesn't. gff seems to be reserved for UC but I remember there were some from G-gundam, not sure if they called it metal build back then.
2 things. 1) While I'm not a fan of the UC designs for the most part, I gotta admit I like this version of the RX-78-2 2) Don't ever put the yellow V-Fin on the RX-78-2 again, it is HIDEOUS
To be fair this the GFFMC are on the higher end of the Tamashii Nations Spectrum. Metal Builds, Chogokins, etc. Those line are way better in terms of almost everything when it compared to model kits as reflected on the price. maybe a comparison with a PG is better in terms of details as they are in the similar price range?
this is probably and unpopular opinion...but the MG Origin looks way better than the figure IMO....the MG just looks more retro to me..and i dig that retro Granddaddy look.

I'm like: "Who the hell said 'Freak' in the background" xD That was funny.

I think the moving part on the bottom of the shield is for putting it on the ground like with the GM Sniper II
When I hear a balljoint I wanted to hear swivel here but I came to the wrong channel
Mr jobby the hong ?
earle jazhad G. cajandab
Ah a man of culture I see.
Ball joint here, BEAUTIFUL SPREAD.
Jobbythehong fans are here
earle jazhad G. cajandab don't say IT Jobbythehong would be mad

13:11 literally said “oooooo” in sync with mecha lmao. that moving thigh armor is just so good

ure the best gunpla reviewer so far. keep it up man! :D
Still is to this day
It might not have the best waist articulation but damn it can pull off a Smooth Criminal lean beautifully.
The reason why the hands on the Origin MG were so big was because they were made for the MG Nu Gundam Ver Ka.
Showed this to my partner as soon as you said they were completely different, and he said they look like twins, he just doesn’t get it
Wow I'm not even a fan of the RX-78 (SIEG ZEON) and this thing looks gorgeous. Great job Bandai.
The MG is from 2015 btw, not 2016.
way older than 2015. 2015 was the re-issued ver when the OVA came out. The mold was from 2011.
Great looking figure! What's up with the stock purple panel lining on the leg?
The backpack looks like from the FSD while the chest vents look like the Ver.Ka
Those hands look super Zeon-y. Like way too round and almost leathery. You'd be better (with either version), just getting some Builder's Parts hands instead.
Rob Wilson naah
The OG had more rounder hands than implied
A gunpla store near me started selling these and I was curious....this doesn't seem to be worth around 200 euros though xD I was expecting these to be more detailed mega sized gundams for some reason.
Actually, the GFFMC first came out in 2011... THAT's how far ahead of the time it was.
Yup, and 7 years later it's still that awesome. it's still the BEST Metal composite to date.
tamashii website tamashii.jp/item/1539/
sir, what is the different between MB gundams and GFFMC gundams?ty😁
Metal builds have a metal inner frame while fix figuration uses metal sparingly

Is there a display stand I can buy separately that attaches to the display base it comes with?
whats the difference between metal build and metal composite?
Metal builds have a metal inner frame while fix figuration uses metal sparingly
Can the cockpit open and are there sitting pilot figure inside?
it's really a worth figure!
its at amazon uk for around 78 is it worth it i have the model kit version however its alittle banged up
Where's the review for HG Zeta gundam?!
He's working on it, I personally think it's a nice, however not amazing HGUC kit. It does what you expect it to do, and nothing more. I also have a text review on it at my site Manpig's Collection if that might help you.
Gundams are usually for display, I would like to know if this metal composite can be played as action figure for kids 10 years old?
Well this is expensive and ridiculously high quality, so I highly doubt anyone would recommend you give something like this to children
If you want something to give to children, I guess go for robot damashii ver anime
Is this more detailed than MG 3.0?
I am going to get the 40th one. Are they the same one? Also do u ever seen any rx78-2 chogokin can do combine?
Can you review the GFF Psycho Mk II? That's the only GFF figure I like the most.
So wait a minute, what exactly is metal/ diecast on this? Is the entire figure made of diecast? I’ve never bought a “metal composite” figure before and want to know if it’s a mix of plastic and metal or entirely metal.
The inside of the figure AKA the innerframe and the joints are made out of metal
Hi sir,sir what is the difference between MB and gffmc?
Can The core fighter cockpit open?
Hey im wondering if I get the Gundam wing proto zero and freedom 2.0 do I have to paint them?
Middle of DEATH if it's a Master grade Wing proto then no, you don't have to paint them.(same with freedom 2.0)
Gaelio Kimaris ok thank you
Middle of DEATH a painted version does look good tho.
Middle of DEATH no, noone is holding a gun to your head and forcing you to
I have both, I didn't really paint ether (cept to turn the yellow gold cause it looks better) they both look great imo
wow that gundam figure looks great. where can I get one?
Is this considered a model kit with die cast joints or a toy?
freak!
Just bought this
will you do a review on the figma celty sturluson?
the RX-78-2 Gundam never had a yellow v-fin...
Mandela Effect???
The RX-78-02 though had a yellow v-fin as per the Origin manga.
The nice part is that the Gundam's looks evolve over time. Something that the master grade fails to capture.
It did but only in the gundam the origin manga
Has the RX ever used the left beam saber?
Any news on the Slan and Void figmas?
What bothers me the most, on all the promo images and even in the manual and box print it has yellow/gold eyes but it actually has red eyes.
Is it sacrilege to like the yellow v fin
So whats the difference between at GFF and a Robot Damashii? Just the size and level of detail?
Barry Ritchey details and quality
GFF: Smaller, Better Detail, Less Durable, Less Articulation = Good Display Piece
RD: Bigger, Less detail (Except RD Sig ka line, those have great detail), More Durable, More Articulation = Playable Figure but can also be displayed especially the Sig Ka Line.
Fair enough. I guess I'll grab one when I have the chance.
I don't know why but the origin rx-78 looks so much better that the RX-78 from the original anime,
Is this made of metal?
Is there pilot figure inside?
I thought the rx-78-2 and the rx-78-02 where different gundams maybe im thinking about something else
I have a pen,I have a gundam,uhhh gundampen
I have a face...
I have a palm...
uh...
facepalm!
Would that actually work?
how much for this great piece?
can you review the kaneki ken statue action figure
I have the banshee norn metal composite
Please do gundam the origin special version
What does magnetic coating means here? Also on the mg gundam 3.0 i dont understand...
Prasta garnika It's just a name of a fictional tech. from universal century timeline...I think something to do with nice joint mobility.
hoooo.... im so confused when i get a 3.0 with that magnetic name on it, lol.. k. thank you very much
What's the Grade! Real Grade or Perfect Grade?
Thank God the GFFMC Wing Zero actually has a proper stand. Then again, the P-Bandai page for it practically calls it a Metal Build...
daamm I love it the details on that gundam it's awesome o.o
do you have zaku model kit plz.... review it
How big is it
Do you have to build this?
is this a model kit or a tamashii?
Ugh....I want one but that price makes me cringe since I have student loans that need to be paid off.
Can we consider this as a Metal Build? Been watching reviews of this Metal Composite and this looks worth getting, trying to snag one for a decent price but after the reviews and positive things that I might go in a little extra mile in getting this.
Zeta review fucking WHEN. It's been a week!
LOL why is your voice so excited all the time.
The left knee joint is loose on mine, anyone know how to tighten it?
Impossible Pie
Coat the joint in either superglue or clear nail polish and let it dry for at least 30 minutes and put it back in, if it still feels loose repeat the process.
sp4rrow and that's ok to use on diecast joints?
Its triggering that bandai didn't made a HG version of the Mobile suit gundam origin RX-78-2
Am I the only one who hears the moaning sound at 10:03
Alry Pajarillo oh boy....I heard it too
Alry Pajarillo no lol
Alry Pajarillo if you close your eyes yes lol
I heard it and wtf
hear nothing. wtf
4:03 wut?
史上最高RX-78-2 ガンダム
So wait, is it a model or a figure?
Figure.. :)
PG Rx78 or this Model?
This is a figure, not a model.
If you ask me i'd say this figure beats it by far, but it's also smaller and more expensive, so keep that in mind.
XoDahuaoX atleast get one. pretty much changed my mind when i got one.
Review a metal build
Be straight. Mix of ver ka and rx origin.
Angry GF?
master grade gundam the origin is from 2015. you pointed at it and said it was from 2016
doesn't this kinda count as a high-resolution
Spartan 154 like the IBO kits?
Gaelio Kimaris yeah like the barbatos
Spartan 154 as far as I remember hi-res comes with runners but gff doesn't. gff seems to be reserved for UC but I remember there were some from G-gundam, not sure if they called it metal build back then.
RickTrajan well I meant like the frame because of the weight because of the metal used in both models
High resolution is a model kit. GFFs are figures.
Who said "Freak" there?!
sahki.gundam⚘
lol was tht mrs gaikotsu?
Yes! I am early
Hmm... The Origin Gundam Ver.Ka 2.0
review metal builds mecha :)
It's complicated. mb are expensive, and If u don't pre Order It, they sold out, and become more expensive then a pg
Yellow is manga accurate
112 euros so it better be good :P
and who said freak?
hehehehe... gundam got pink eye
nice.
2 things.
1) While I'm not a fan of the UC designs for the most part, I gotta admit I like this version of the RX-78-2
2) Don't ever put the yellow V-Fin on the RX-78-2 again, it is HIDEOUS
hate the flat feet
Twice the detail for five times the price...
pg phenex or pg unicorn please reply anyone!!!!!!
Orange Juice he allrewdy unbox unicorn
Justin Zhang i want to bought pg but still wondering which is better
Justin Zhang he already bought a pg but didnt assemble it so i dont know
You're comparing a pre-built figure to straight-build model kit, of course the figure is going to be better than the kit
Definitely not. A robot damashii would have nothing on a straight built Real Grade.
$132 for this thooo
A hobbyist never complains about prices.
Really on amazon it's only $51
@@mechalinkergaming7169 than im no where near a "real hobbyist"
www.amazon.com/Bandai-Tamashii-Nations-G-F-F-M-C-RX78-02/dp/B00QEQZAM2/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1544719915&sr=8-1&keywords=gundam+fix+figuration+metal+compositeWhere was it $51?
also..that yellow V-fin...ick
good grief, get your editing in order.
