I like how he does the same intro with Mayro and Nick/Nicholas but uses the phrases "friend Mayro" and "rival Nicholas" respectively. It really shows the differences in the two kinds of videos within the first 5 seconds of the video. With your friend Mayro, you'll be playing a bunch of for-fun dumb stuff, get ready to laugh, but with your rival Nicholas, things are gonna get competitive up in here!

Couple of minutes earlier Troy was in a bullet bill with a TC hanging above, allowing him to dodge a blue shell. Dont blame him for not noticing, this race was intense. Lol
I was about to say that, also Troy ignored all Mayro explanations, fast falling and drift breaking in lap 20, also the giant and small items. It was truly an insane race.

I’ve thought about how cool it would be if the items were actually the size they appear to be when you drag them in a mega mushroom like Bowsers huge spiked green shell or DK’s big banana peel on Double Dash. Glad to see it incorporated in a MKWii mod!
Not even joking, with some more testing and refinement, we may have found a worthy successor to countdown for an official 3rd game mode on CTGP…

14:16 to 15:50 (Lap 34 to halfway through Lap 39) was CRAZY: 8 stars, 1 BAM SHOCK DODGE, 1 Scrub Dodge, 3 POW Dodges, and 1 Blue Shell Dodge
that would be cool if red shells had sonic and sega all stars racing physics where if you shoot them backwards they lock to the person behind you
not only would it be useful, but also painful if you’re the victim

50 laps on bowsers castle wii could be interesting, especially with the feather since theres a couple places you can go through walls/ceilings to get ahead

The fast lap on CTGP for GCN RR is 1:11.122. So, if you did 50 laps of it at World Record pace, you would finish in just under an hour (59 minutes 16 seconds). Obviously not counting all the items and speed increases, it would probably finish quicker than that, but it would still take a long time
Some tracks don't work online, the original time limit was removed but we still have a 1 hour limit.

Albeit the game mode is chaotic
People underestimate how difficult Troy's job for that is. You have to focus on giving good high-level gameplay, good commentary about said gameplay, and holding a decent conversation with the other person, and it's a lot to take in at once. Many things can and will get dropped. I've dealt with this exact same trifecta before and it's given me a new level of respect for UA-camrs like him, especially because of how much (admittedly mostly joking) flack they can get for it.
@@dznutskong I know friends who can't talk whilst playing so obviously some people struggle a lot more than others. I also know people that are able to converse and give better commentary.
Like I said, it's a hectic game mode but it's something that I've noticed a fair bit from Troy.
Yeah, I don't blame him. It's very difficult to play well at such a fast pace while holding a conversation

Hi Troy, love your videos, been watching every single video that you have posted since the beginning of 2020 always looking forward to the next. Also glad there were no cuts in this video (I like the long vids). Some of the custom (retros) tracks I would like to see the most for 50 laps are Wario Collasium Yoshi Circut or Daisy Cruiser. Some of the Vanilla in-game tracks I would like to see are Coconut mall, DK summit, and (this would only be fun for viewers, but) Moonview Highway. Keep up the awesome content.

I think this would be cool on Halogen Highway or Glimmer Express Trains. Those are my favorite custom tracks. Also with all these improvements, it'd be cool to see this back on flounderfest again. Maybe since the races seem like they're short enough now you could even do best 2 out of 3 or combine the points from 2 races or something.

Mayro is super fun and I enjoy her stuff but I don’t think that’s a fair competition, Troy and nick are both highly skilled, mayro is like, an above average skilled player.

@@sucrow7659 I don't even think is as much about this as it is that mayro is non-competitive. I dint really think i've ever seen her try hard. And a big thing with the flounderfest is the punishments. I can't see nick or troy coming up with a punishment for mayro at least that'd actually fit *punishment* and even less mayro making a *punishment* for them

I would love to see a longer tougher track for this… maybe Rainbow Road or DS Bowser’s Castle? The feather could be very interesting in both of those courses.

One thing that would make this gamemode better is giant items should work on giant players. When you're giant, you have immunity to most items (bananas, fibs, shells, ect.) but currently in the mod its true for giant items as well. Normal players should be immune to tiny items (destroy them like as though they were in a mega) and people in megas should not be immune to mega items and get hit as if they were normal.
This series is actually freaking awesome
I would celebrate the idea if the item gets bigger and bigger and as long as you keep the item in your inventory!

I often think about the fans in the stands in-universe watching a race at a Circuit track (across all the games!). Imagine traveling across the Mushroom Kingdom, paying top dollar (top coin?) for good seats at Luigi Circuit, only to watch a 3-lap race last less than 2 minutes, and then it's over. Everything's torn down and you're told to go home. Next race is in Moo Moo Meadows but there's nothing more to see here at Luigi Circuit. Can you imagine? Why would you pay for these kind of seats for such a short event? My headcanon: The official Mario Kart Grand Prix is the "main attraction" but the reason why people pay for these seats is that side events like this happen on the same day, either before or after. The fans probably don't even care about the official GP; they just want carnage like this and the GP is only the main attraction because the biggest Mario celebrities race in it and they want to promote that.

Going 1cc faster after every lap, reminds me of Formula 1/racing in general, were you use fuel in your car so you also go a bit faster every lap becauce of the weight loss

hahaha that was a complete chaos on 50 laps mod by Mayro, when the items are double like from MKDD style, blue shell hacks, lightning ⚡ hacks, mega mushrooms grows ridiculous huge, tcs nonsense, red shells, green shells, fake item boxes, bananas are small and big sizes. Troy you have me cracking

I played 7 laps on 3DS rainbow road yesterday and made a vid about it, imagine 3DS rainbow road but with everything in formula kart Wii 😳

I was thinking about some ideas for this game mode;
5 rotating Fake item boxes where one of them is an actual item box and after you place it it becomes a normal itwm box with respawning
Also unique paths for people who get shocked
And also a nega-thundercloud which have the effect of a normal thundercloud
If it increases by 1cc per lap and ends at 200cc at lap 50, then it is 151cc at lap 1, and if it starts at 150cc at lap 1 it ends at 199cc at lap 50.
