From what I heard they broke his promise which was for them to stick with Witcher lore and to remain accurate but they decided to start changing a lot of things or "reimagine" the Witcher and not for good reasons and remember he loved the Witcher he was a big fan and its the main reason he wanted the script.

I watched all Superman movies from Christopher Reeve and Brandon Routh, but for me Henry Cavill is perfect for the role. Hope to watch him as Superman again in Man of Steel 2 or Justice League.
To be honest, the writing was on the wall. He returned before Gunn and Safran were even hired. And, with Black Adam not performing well, Dwayne Johnson didn't and doesn't have the pull as he had when he got Cavill back.
Cavil was set up perfectly for the older hopeful superman we’ve never seen. As for bond he’d be amazing except that’s where I’d love to see a young bond being recruited etc.

Gunn has to do a hard reboot with new actors because general audiences will never give DC a chance if they keep seeing the same actors in the same roles, they'll think it's the same old DCEU. A hard reboot will also allow for a clean slate with zero confusion about the direction of the DCU and it will put an end to any Snyder speculation. It makes sense financially, creatively and from a marketing perspective.

Thing is a lot of those elements have actual talent have done well as seen by the money they've made and more importantly the fans new and old its created. I feel bad cavill lost a role he enjoyed, but I honestly was never that big a fan of his Superman. He always felt like the most depressed and depressing version of Superman that doesn’t take place in an objectively worse timeline. You know that often when Netflix makes adaptation of something they really hate source material. That's the case with The Witcher. Showrunner wants to turn it into some propaganda of cultural marxism. If you don't have good story then of course your series/movie will be a flop. Let's hope his movie adaptation of Warhammer will turn out to be better you know... that he will finally be given artistic freedom

I really hope he's able to play Gerald again, he said he refused that role for Superman, now they seem to backstab him like that, must be also a huge financial damage for him if the Gerald role is gone for him now.
I swear to god, If Henry Cavil's role as Superman was shot down because they want to focus on a "Black" Superman just because of Forced Inclusion, I will rage.
I think this just means that he won't be the main Superman in the new universe they're making. He could still come as an alternate universe Superman.

Cavill was a great Superman. The one weakness with how his portrayal was written is that he wasnt able to play Clarke Kent properly.

Also, whats the point of going to see Aquaman 2 now if it's not going to be canon anymore? And why are they still moving ahead with a film led by Ezra Miller? That guy belongs in handcuffs not on a movie screen.
He left the Witcher because of the writers not wanting to adhere to source material, and wanting to change it, and I believe doesn't want to go back. Aqua-man 2, is Aqua-man 2, I guess it's going to be released as more of a solo movie not cannon to anything new. Call it Aquaman 2: Dead in the water. As for Ezra, absolutely. They should have fired him the minute the evidence was out for the shit he did, not to mention him admitting fault to much of it already.

A much better actor
I feel bad cavill lost a role he enjoyed, but I honestly was never that big a fan of his Superman. He always felt like the most depressed and depressing version of Superman that doesn’t take place in an objectively worse timeline.
I was more upset we lost him as the witcher, but I understand why he chose to leave that role.
I can't see the DCEU revamp taking off at this rate. The higher-ups clearly don't have a clue how to handle the franchise or what they think the fans want. Henry deserves so much more respect. He IS Superman and Geralt.
henry will come back as superman but from that universe, in the 2nd movie of the remake..the reboot will not showcase supermans pass but when He's full blown superman and brainiac attacks earth and with the help of flash and the green lantern they managed to stop him only to find out that the old gods is on earth and needs rheir help to defeat the coming apocalypse.

Probably not, but it's possible.
Unlikely since it seems he quit the role because Netflix was shitting on one of his favourite franchises and he had a deal with them that he would only play Geralt for as long as they were keeping the series faithful to the source material.

He will be in season 3 since they filmed it already, but it's tricky because they already cast Liam Hemsworth for season 4. With contracts and legal issues, they can't just give him the job back unless Liam himself decides to allow it, sadly. If anything, Liam could agree to play another Witcher and give Henry the job back. He's honestly perfect as Geralt.
It's sad... so many actors already gone, personally for many reasons they should reboot the dceu but I understand not every character needs to be rebooted so I guess that's why the flash is gonna half reboot half continue the dceu
