- Reggie has a face disfigurement and learnt to love himself the way he is, while Gary who had never had that problem is obsessed with beauty procedures in his tries to look like a Kardashian. While Gary tries to show Reggie that there is nothing bad in trying to look your best- will Reggie teach him to love himself the way that he is?
Exploring the issues of discrimination surrounding how we look, each episode pairs two people - one obsessed with intense personal vanity and one with a facial disfigurement. They spend time in each other’s lives and understand the differences and similarities between them.
Black/Current is a space to provide both educational and entertaining content primarily by or about Black people. That’s Black Brits, Black Americans, Black Africans, Black Canadians, Black Australians and so forth. There is a really loud desire for diverse voices and stories and we want to be a part of that conversation.

Gary you have an African nose. Narrowing it will not make it look better. People can tell that's not your natural nose. Leave your nose alone and drink water, eat healthy food and get a good gel hydrator for your face. You have good skin that does not need excessive makeup or a cheek filler.
I agree. Gary is a beautiful man. There could be severe life damaging complications. I’d love a follow up on them both. Very sweet lovely gentleman.

It was amazing to see Gary emotionally come alive. He was very stiff and distant at the beginning, but especially while he was in Texas, you could see the change happening in his eyes. Beautiful men, the both of them!

Whoever has an issue with those beautiful people outer selves, I would like to say that those lovely folks look way better than the most outer beauty there is, most so called very pretty people are wicked to the core on the inside. I dislike anyone bullying others them wonderful folks would be the person that I call best friends. Some people are obsessed with how they look on the outside but are filthy on the inside. I respect, value and appreciate all people. 🖤

Out of the two man, as a girl I would say Reggie is the nicer one. He has shine in his eyes, while Gary has none.

That’s not true at all. He’s a good man. He sold his belongings to get Gary new shoes. Nothing is more kind than that.
