Edit: I didn't actually know juggernauts could hijack the jackrabbit myself haha, it uses warthog hijack animations which I made custom animations for the juggernaut to hijack, so I guess it gave it the ability to hijack both! That's why it's a little floaty :D
Edit2: I just want to shout out the other amazing modders that released or sent me tags that were used in the mod, the full credits list is on the Nexus and Steam pages, but in particular Greenknight made that grizzly tag and some of the other Halo Wars vehicle tags, not me :)
Really great mod, tons of fun. But I got a question I’d like to ask. What’re the odds of getting a Grizzly? Because I’ve played through your mod several times, and I’ve never seen one. Along with the Hawk, Wolverine, and Scorpion. Never seen any of them. Do the odds increase the higher the wave? Does anything decrease those odds?

@@EVolkswagen Yep, your rewards depend on the wave. Grizzlies, Sparrowhawk, Hornet, Scorpion, Falcon and gauss hog are quite rare and can only appear on the final wave of a round :) On Easy and Normal they're also all basically indestructible, so I tried to limit how often you get them haha
Wolverine has been cut for now until I can figure out how to stop it from flipping like a tornado whenever a light breeze catches it haha
@@weaver900 Okay cool. I’ve seen videos of people playing with these vehicles and I thought I was getting really unlucky or there was some factor changing the odds, but knowing that they only appear on boss waves explains a lot. Thanks for answering.

the devs embrace it too. doing showcases on their steam page. its actually amazing.
If they let modders at infinite, we'd have working cross-core in about two weeks.

If 343 just worked WITH the Halo modding community on working in a customs browser with Microsoft-endorsed campaigns, they'd spend less money and earn more respect and likely be able to profit more via more add ins that create true value for the Halo experience. THIS is Halo for me, building off of a truly amazing title and kit bashing other games into the mix in a way that feels natural. This is combat evolved in the truest sense. I hope Halo Infinite learns from this.
They could but Microsoft wouldn't allow them and not much wouldn't change since several modders are already on the infinite team.
This mod really lets me live out my fantasy of having a large-scale battle happening. All kinds of allies kitted out with the best weapons and vehicles I could provide for them helping me in the fight, so it starts to feel like a real war, rather than a small skirmish between you and a single squad. It feels good to know that there are allies in the vehicles and whatnot having their own battle halfway across the map while you fight another group of enemies separate from them
I've always wanted to play the role of Pelican transport/evac in Halo. Whether it's dropping vehicles, weapons, or even troops into the battlefield.
imagine a game built with many of these ideas, like customizing the troops and vehicles you bring with you, your reinforcements etc. Would be a dream

That was hilarious, though he was crawling into a ghost cause his chair was destroyed I think. It's actually pretty cool the prophet ai looked for nearby vehicles to enter 😅
Vultures were always my favorite UNSC unit from Halo Wars, and to finally see one outside those games and the sheer power it canonically would have makes me so giddy. The developers of this mod are truly talented for creating something this high quality. It's a shame current Halo games will never get something like this with how 343 and Microsoft treat the series modern day :(

The uniform for halo reach's marines, is my favorite. Simple, realistic and practical combat equipment. If some of them had boonie hats, they would look better

The mod is how it FELT to play Halo 3 as a kid.
Revisiting it as an adult, it’s not quite the same. All these additions are exactly what I always dreamed of when I played Halo as a kid, and it is just a thing of beauty to see it all brought to life.

Just take Halo wars 1 and make it a 4v4.
UNSC side as soon as you spend 300 credits at a barracks and spawn a spartan one of your team mate spawns in.
For the elites they would have to add 3 Elite zealots in the barracks. And boom a FPS/RTS is born! Consoles can handle it now too.
Wow this is literally a dream come true seeing all the weapons and vehicles in one spot!! It’s sad we need mods to do this since 343 puts out a one thing every 4 months. but I cannot wait to get my hands on this when I get a gaming pc!!

The AI is much smarter, the Marines are actually useful.
The coop multiplayer is actually a thing and is still more entertaining than Infinites multiplayer.

My favorite plan is to load up every A.I teammate I have onto vehicles (which they do themselves sometimes with ghosts and choppers)
And they live for long times and it fun watching 4-6 warthogs driving around/

if they can bring that exo suit from halo legends i WILL get this game on pc and download the mod. I just hope they also bring sergeant johnson in with his own suit. I bet just a 3 man fireteam of marines in those suits would clear an entire battlefield.
My dream would be if they could somehow get the whole map of mombasa as a game though.

Im not gonna lie. I love the old look of halo and big wars. Im okay with seeing Halo CE or Halo 2 BIG battles and almost an rts but where it feels like you are the puny soldier on either side. Btw a flood takeover mod would be AWESOME. I know theres a few mods that you can play as flood, I may pickup modding and try expanding on someones idea with all credit given ofc. I love seeing everyones thoughts come to life and how to works with everyone elses

It's almost hilarious how somebody can whip up a mod and combine aspects from older and newer games and have it a thousand times better than what we have with Infinite

There should be a drivable Cyclops as well. The Cyclops would make for a nice UNSC counterpart to the Goblin.
Mechanically, it should be functionally similar to the Battlearmor from Mechassault 2: Lone Wolf.

You've already admitted you have the audio files, match it up correctly.
I guess my problem is that every time we see the idea bounced around of being "just" a marine, or "just" a human, there's never anything to indicate a significant difference between a regular human soldier (ODST or otherwise) versus a Spartan.
It was one of my biggest disappointments about ODST. We were promised something tense and different. Just a human, trying to survive the occupied streets of New Mombasa.
Instead, we were literally just a Spartan of a different color. The regenerating shields were simply replaced by a "stamina" system. We could still walk, run and jump just like a Spartan. It felt like playing a Halo 3 mod.
What I crave for is a more SQUAD-like game set in the Halo universe (that isn't just a mod for SQUAD) in which you're not some powerhouse, but a soft and squishy marine who absolutely needs to rely on support and teamwork to survive.
You cannot survive a punchup with a Brute, as he can knock your head clean off with a single flick.
Even Grunts would suddenly become dangerous foes to deal with in this scenario, requiring careful consideration of shot placement and cover taken (since plasma weaponry could eventually melt your cover to slag).
I would love a game where a Scorpion tank rolling up for support is a moment worth cheering because it means your odds for survival just greatly increased, rather than you optionally shrugging it off and charging the enemy to climb their vehicles and punch them to death.
The long and short of it, I'd love a mod balanced around the concept of being a weak, squishy marine who cannot bunnyhop all over and can't carry mounted turrets. A game where you have to rely on skill and teamwork to defeat what is supposed to be a terrifying foe that has been pushing Humanity to the brink.
I need that game. Modders, pls.
