At first, I didn't know how to feel about this game. I didn't (and still don't) think Undertale needs a sequel, and DeltaRune just seemed like one. I played it though, and I realized something. DeltaRune is Toby's Undertale AU, and that blew my mind.
I mean, Toby himself literally confirmed on Twitter that Deltarune is neither a sequel nor prequel to Undertale. It is it's own timeline, separate from Undertale.
I also think it’s incredible how in undertale everything matters. And then deltarune is just. Welp I guess I’ll die! And nothing matters. I had a friend who went through the character creation process 4 or 5 times in fear of changing her ending
Suzie looks like the overconfident, attack first ask questions later protagonist Kris looks like the confident, quiet, learning how to use a sword at an alarming rate protagonist Ralsei looks like the *pushes glasses up* prodigy who uses mind games to crush his opponents protagonist
I'm impressed how, even after all those years, growing up and turning 20, and everything else, those remix are still the only thing I can listen on repeat for hours and not get tired of them.
