I was at my farm last weekend caught a beaver walking my firelane chased him into the dry creek bed went to hit him in the head with the butt of my shotgun slipped and fell on top of him. They growl like dogs will grab your feet with their teeth. Yes he got away. And so did I.

I killed one with boat paddle. Guy was with me one day running my snares. He shot a beaver. Said it was dead. Went to grab it. He wasnt dead tried to bite my rubber boot. I caught 53 coyotes off a 5000 acre hunting club last season. 50 of the coyotes had mange. Few of them was hairless all most.

Cant believe the pan cover went through him that fast.
I used to keep a couple of contractor bags in the bucket for mangy dogs. Didn't like touching them nasty things. Good thing is that it's out of the population.

Mystery they would eat a pan cover ?
Just caught my 1st coyote in 10 years brother. On my new place in South, mo. I had your all predator bait in hole. Only had 4 days to trap then back out on the rd
May I suggest that you put your conibear springs up not down? Putting them down will cause the trap to be pushed up and off the seat of the stabilizer if they contact the bottom first. Use a short piece of wire to hold the spring safeties in place. This is from a beaver trapper who has used #330s since 1974.
Dude it's so cool watching you set traps and explain why you're setting & why you expect to catch. I've had a bad year with knee issues & now an emergency appendectomy, so I've Still not set any traps & my deer season has been non-existent. Hoping now I can trap the week I'm off for Christmas.

Now that you tagged out on otter will you pull your drowning sets with otter sign? Is there someone that will tag them for you? I am a new trapper and just started trapping in the general season, I'm always trying to learn
He is now trapping in Missouri so he is not tagged out on otter in that state.
