    Things To Do In A Presidential Debate:
    - Don't sweat
    - Don't sigh
    - Don't be dispassionate
    - Don't look at your watch
    - Say witty things
    Is it any wonder that nothing of substance comes from these debates?

      Dukakis was a punk and got treated like one. its his own fault and it exposed a complete lack of judgement as well as a lack of being a grown ass man. he showed that he can be easily pushed over and set up to look stupid. Go ask Trump that question in a debate. See if you even get the entire question out of your mouth before he de-balls you right on national TV. Go ask Bill Clinton that and see how that goes for you. live Bill or hate him, he was no idiot or no pushover. I remember that debate and Dukakis lack of fortitude is really what caused him to sink in the polls. I won't say it cost the election though because he was never going to win that anyhow. not vs cowboy Ronny anyways.

      Marcus Mührmann-Lund That may be true. But as a president candidate, you shouldn't do that for the sake of diplomacy.
      Let's look at this year presidential debates, Hillary did a great reaction, which showed her as a veteran politician, after being accused and highly criticised by Trump. She barely changed her attitude, she even made fun of it (please rewatch the first debate).
      But I guess that's not good enough for America.

    • @Marcusml333
      @Marcusml333 7 років тому +3

      Hai Le Quang Yeah, you may be right that it's not super presidential in a traditional sense of the term. And nah, not going to watch the first debate again. It'll just make me more depressed and anxious over the results of the recent election. No, Americans don't like professionalism, apparently. They wanted someone who wasn't fit for the job. Like a doctor or a pilot without certification.

      OkayNiceOne I hope you know that is utter rubbish, and I find it hilarious that you talk about "choosing to believe what you want to believe".
      There is zero record of Al Gore approving Bush's invasion of Iraq. One, he left politics after losing the presidency. He had no formal vote to offer.
      Two, his first comment on the Iraq War involved him explicitly stating that he did not believe there was enough justification to violate international law, As a matter of fact, he even went on to recommend a UN resolution to build international consensus.
      So don't give me that horseshit about Gore supporting Bush's invasion when you've clearly either read that rubbish off some Info Wars-esque manure, or pulled it directly out of your ass.

      He lost poll numbers not because he opposed the death penalty, but because of the context of the question. • @TheBombayMasterTony
      @TheBombayMasterTony 10 років тому

      ***** I respect the opinion of people who would enforce the penalty, so long as they, of course, add incentive for it, like you. However, it's also fair for people to return that respect for people who would not enforce the death penalty. I didn't see the debate with Dukakis, but it's not wrong for him to be against the death penalty under any circumstance. Whether the incentive is religious or rational or under any other influence, people have views which have been shaped throughout their lives. I don't believe that people should be criticized for not believing in capital punishment. Even more, like in the debate, if you still don't believe in capital punishment if your own wife is raped and murdered, that doesn't make you "dispassionate". In actuality, that shows you're more civil.

      So sick of these clinton cash type allegations. You know it's an invention of political operatives, is rife with inaccuracies, and fabrications, connecting dots that don't connect. If even a small amount was actually true Clinton really would be in prison right now but there isn't even a case. So sad to see a major party resort to just pure garbage just to get their guys elected. You know what you get when you believe people that are full of garbabe? More garbage. And that's all you're gonna get with Trump and the Republicans for a while. Enjoy.

    • @AbsurdScandal
      @AbsurdScandal 7 років тому

      What ''political operatives''?

    • @MrBenny1010101
      @MrBenny1010101 7 років тому

      AbsurdScandal Political operatives like Steven Bannon and Rogder Stone. Rodger Stone for example has been putting out dozens of false claims over and over again and it gets echoed around the republican party and then picked up by fringe media and then even main stream media. It's like throw lies at the wall and see what sticks. But anyone can be a political operative. Steven Bannon, now Trump's chief strategist, helped finance Clinton Cash which is rife with inaccuracies, fabrications, and the majority of details intentionally left out and glossed over all to connect dots to paint a picture that doesn't exist. Meanwhile Trump will actually use the presidency to enrich himself greatly, but you'll never hear about it because you're only gonna be in your political echo chambers, which are run top down by guys like this. But anyone can be a political operative. Julian Assange for example, appears both on RT (state controlled media that has openly called for the downfall of the US) as well as breitbart saying the same stuff, stuff he knows is provably false, hell he has the actual hacked information and he still feels the need to make stuff up. And why? What's his motivation? Does he just not like countries with a global presence? Does he think anyone else does any better? Or does he have a different motivation? Who knows. But we are force fed a steady diet of crap by these guys and until you remove the feeding tubes you'll never know.

    • @venomf0
      @venomf0 7 років тому

      Fake Account lol the media is so against Trump it's ridiculous. America has finally had enough. The reason she's not in jail is because she destroyed all that evidence. Robert C Byrd her klu klux klan mentor FACT. The ambassador of Libya died cause of her. She has blood on her hands

    • @MrBenny1010101
      @MrBenny1010101 7 років тому

      El Pingu No that's crap that's been fed to you by people who fabricate stuff. The ambassador to Libya died because he was attacked, Obama authorized a military response within 90 minutes of the first attack, the State Department doesn't handle military response, that's the Dept of Defense, but the guys who want to smear Clinton don't point that out because they know they can get votes by confusing people like you. Robert C Byrd left the KKK and renounced it, but wasn't Trump's dad in the KKK? And wasn't he a bigger mentor to Trump Jr than Robert Byrd ever was to Clinton? Trump was instituting racist rental policies based on skin color at practically the same time Clinton was fighting legal cases to end housing discrimination. But your echo chamber that 90% of the right wing media is a part of and the message is run top down by operatives and media fabricators - they will never tell you. And income drops, corporation profits increase, people lose healthcare, medicare, infrastructure crumbles, quality of life goes down, prices of necessities go up, but as long as the people who buy the party can rely on guys like you to have their heads up their asses it will never change.
