These clips don't even compare with 2016's cycle of debate moments.
Jeb is a mess
Styl x Jeb is a waste
He's so weak, it's laughable
We dont fuck around anymore. America = savage now.
Because you'd be in jail
"Senator your no jack Kennedy" is the most savage debate moment
Arguably, the greatest debate zinger ever!
"that's a bunch of malarkey" is a great one, too. Jack Kennedy is also referenced right after.
How about now? After yesterday's debate?
Trump's "you'd be in jail", is now the most savage debate moment ever.
you're*
Things To Do In A Presidential Debate:
- Don't sweat
- Don't sigh
- Don't be dispassionate
- Don't look at your watch
- Say witty things
Is it any wonder that nothing of substance comes from these debates?
Wonderfully said.
***** super handsome? Reagan? Really?
Dont appear weak think on your feet & keep your composure?
+ghanem belgacem Well for his age.
+Holy Moses Thanks for the tips, I'm sure one of us will use your advice in our presidential debate :P
"You sir, are no Jack Kennedy" *Vine of African-American teenager jumping into the arms' of his peers*
lel
You mean the Rap Battle Parody?
First off, *I'm not a rapper*.
"OOHHHHHHHH"
Black People React
Should of just dodged that loaded death penalty question. There was no right way to answer it anyone can make you look bad by making up a ridiculous scenario and asking what would you do,
That's a very very very low-ball question.
I wonder what the appropriate response would be, how would u dodge that?
+Scotty Peterson Jr You can tell the questioner that "What you're really asking me is would I let a personal feeling of vengeance cloud my judgement and affect my policy views? That answer to that is no"
+Scotty Peterson Jr Yeah, I remember Ronald Reagan making a quip about how much of a bad idea it is to answer hypothetical questions. They're designed to make you look bad one way or the other or discredit your policy position.
+Shock Not sure if it would have worked then, but in today's climate you could gain a ton of support by going ape shit on the moderator for asking the question.
Dukakis was a punk and got treated like one. its his own fault and it exposed a complete lack of judgement as well as a lack of being a grown ass man. he showed that he can be easily pushed over and set up to look stupid. Go ask Trump that question in a debate. See if you even get the entire question out of your mouth before he de-balls you right on national TV. Go ask Bill Clinton that and see how that goes for you. live Bill or hate him, he was no idiot or no pushover. I remember that debate and Dukakis lack of fortitude is really what caused him to sink in the polls. I won't say it cost the election though because he was never going to win that anyhow. not vs cowboy Ronny anyways.
"expect the unexpected" takes a whole new meaning this year.
Donald trump could sigh, get naked and fall asleep. He still wouldn't lose votes. Its just...hard to believe
+skyrock100 Hillary just had to be herself to lose votes.
Understatement of the century!
Being AGAINST the death penalty is cold and dispassionate? Wtf?
+Hunter Reed but people will always complain no matter what he says. If he agrees on the death penalty then the media and people would be like.."he always be changing his mind".....
He was tricked. Sometimes, you need to just bullshit your way out of the situation
At the time it wasn't necessarily about the fact that he didn't support the death penalty, Dukakis seemed dispassionate because he didn't seem at all disturbed by the question itself.
But yes, since the death penalty is an emotional issue, he wasn't seen as emitting any emotion.
1:25 what a boss, even his opponent is laughing
When I first watched this debate when I was 21 born in 1999. Just saw this. But I’ve seen the mondel vs Reagan. Bush shouldn’t have won the 2005 election. Worse president in history by far. I hate trump.
@@tydawson9815what are you going on about lmao
Can't wait to see it LOL Whatever it is hahaha
Al Gore was upset because he knew ManBearPig was still on the loose...
But nobody took him cereal.
+Fabian Avila He was really cereal, guys.
hahaha that was a good one XD
But he was super duper cereal.
The one tonight definitely won’t make this list...
Will you shut up man
Watching these after the Biden and Trump debate is hilarious!
"WHEW OKAY!"
-Hillary Clinton
Joshua V. Harding she was probably having a seizure
Her shaking her body like she was on the dancefloor will be another classic debate moment for the video vault.
Uhhh not a make or break moment. More like. "I don't pay taxes"
That sigh makes Al Gore a huge jerk.
Hai Le Quang OR a fucking savage 😂
+Diana Lane oh yeah right thats what won gore the election.... OR not
To be fair, I guess one would sigh a lot around George Bush when he would talk.
Marcus Mührmann-Lund That may be true. But as a president candidate, you shouldn't do that for the sake of diplomacy.
Let's look at this year presidential debates, Hillary did a great reaction, which showed her as a veteran politician, after being accused and highly criticised by Trump. She barely changed her attitude, she even made fun of it (please rewatch the first debate).
But I guess that's not good enough for America.
Hai Le Quang Yeah, you may be right that it's not super presidential in a traditional sense of the term. And nah, not going to watch the first debate again. It'll just make me more depressed and anxious over the results of the recent election. No, Americans don't like professionalism, apparently. They wanted someone who wasn't fit for the job. Like a doctor or a pilot without certification.
politicians are good actors.
Anyone else notice how discussion of actual policy proposals had almost no influence in these debates?
It's amazing that all it takes to win people's good will is being cool and witty, not having proper policies.
"cause you'd be in jail"
I hate trump and Hillary but that was hilarious
these are the blunders of past debates? sighs and someone looking at his watch? man these past debates are way worse than that
Yea ikr
We're gonna have one of these moments in this years debates I can't wait to see who does it.
Yeah, if you haven't noticed the gaffes from both candidates yet, you're not gonna notice the future ones.
+Andrew Taylor I really hope you're just kidding around or being sarcastic. Did you even watch the first debate? Did you hear Trump talk?
I think donald admitting to paying taxes in the first debates would be included here
Trump sniffing repeatedly on the mic...
"You'd be in jail"
"Bad hombres" - Donald J. Trump, 2016.
"you'd be in jail' -Donald J Trump, 2016
"wrong" -Donald J Trump, 2016
"Such a nasty woman." - Donald J. Trump, 2016
How about "you'd be in jail"
Hombres malos.
"Because you'd be in jail"
this video is gonna need a major update after this years election.
These are the kinds of things voters of America make their choices on.
Thanks!!
Damn it Gore why did you have to sigh during those debates? Those freaking sighs indirectly led to the destructive path we are on today in America
+Amit Bhanot lol
+Amit Bhanot All you have to do is look at the voting for/against the Iraq and Afghanistan war. Gore would have gone to war; JFK, Nixon, Carter and everyone in between would have gone to war after 9/11.
+Victor Villari We don't know what JFK and Nixon would have done as they would have been died prior to 9/11. Yes, going into Afghanistan was almost a given under those circumstances, but Iraq was a little less clear. Maybe some of those guys wouldn't have gotten phony information regarding WMD and inadvertantly created ISIS 10 years later
Amit Bhanot You admit it was faulty information... So what makes you think another president (who had little or nothing to do with faulty intelligence) would have acted differently when both Congress and the people were asking for war?
Amit Bhanot And did you just say we inadvertently caused ISIS..? If not ISIS, it's just some other radical Islamist group in the Middle East causing havoc, as has been proven over centuries.
Because you'd be in jail...
Cool piece!
This all culminates in Donald Trump, the most entertaining man in any presidential election
While Howard Deans scream should've made him win seemed like a true American more than trump especially with this rough voice which is something that trump doesn't have
I wonder how many news stations were kept alive by the Donald during this campaign. Still its good that this will be over soon.
it shouldn't be entertaining. ffs it's politics, it should be serious.
President Donald.
Derfel *internal screaming*
The Gore sighing thing I've never heard of before and I doubt it made any difference, especially since Gore won the popular vote.
But Dukakis' gaffe, despite the extremely unfair question, did actually make a difference in polls.
because you'd be in jail
The rape and murder question was horrendous, i hope someone got in a lot of trouble for that
Is anyone else here after the trump biden debate
apparently body language and how it behaves is like 80% of our communication.
The man-bear pig took a sigh at the end.
He is super cereal!
Interesting !
It's amazing how the littlest of things could hurt a candidate in a debate. Nowadays candidates can do and say anything and it wouldn't change a thing.
Is it wrong to not base my decision off of how many times someone sighs or checks their watch?
Carter attacking Reagan is nothing compared to trump vs Biden.
How to be as Ronald Reagan:
-Take best lines
-Don’t sigh
-Relax and one more thing!
-Youth and Inexperience
"Only Rosie O'Donnell" - greatest debate line ever
Gosh, if someone had provided Gore with some water so he wouldn't sigh, 9/11 may not have happened!
600'000 lives for a glass of water. (Situation in Syria/Iraq/Afganistan/Yemen).
+Omar Khan People didn't really care about the sighs until the media talked about it nonstop. Polls right after the debate showed Gore winning, several days later they had Bush winning.
+Omar Khan It most likely still would have happened. Al Qaeda started plotting it back in the 90's. Bin Laden almost succeeded in killing Clinton! So, they really didn't care who won, they still would have done it.
Gabe Zorbas Perhaps but remember, his administration ignored their intelligence by not looking at the document titled "Bin Laden determined to attack in the United States" perhaps gores administration having worked with clinton wouldnt skip over it..
True, very good point, Although it is also possible he still wouldn't have done anything. Clinton had multiple chances to kill Bin Laden and still didn't.
1:58 did that person lose poll votes just because he was against death penalty? That's crazy, I didn't know this guy before but he has my full respect now.
He lost poll numbers not because he opposed the death penalty, but because of the context of the question. He was asked specifically if his wife were raped and killed, if he would support the death penalty, and because he answered it like a robot, without emotion, people saw that and did not like it.
Fifa Austin Thanks for the clarification.
Should of responded about how inappropriate and rude the question was though.
Basicaly it was the definition of a gotcha question, losing his cool would make him look like he had poor temperament, his best chance was calling Bernard Shaq out for such an inappropriate and rude question. It was 1988 though and the demographics were different, opposing the death penalty now isn't controversial and par for the course for a Democratic candidate.
Same for everyone.
Thanks for your opinion!
"Don't argue with stupid people, they will drag you down to their level and then beat you with experience."
Mark Twain
Hillary: "I am glad that a person like Donald Trump is not handling the law in this country."
Trump: "Because you'd be in jail."
I love how the related video is about making a Magnetic Thinking Putty , Im going to watch that next! :D
I often struggle with that thought too.
Imagine if Al Gore kept his mouth closed. The amount of people that would still be alive today..
.
That's fucking sad.
I hope you know Al Gore approved Bush's heading into Iraq. It's like the morons in this comments section just choose to believe what they want to believe.
OkayNiceOne I hope you know that is utter rubbish, and I find it hilarious that you talk about "choosing to believe what you want to believe".
There is zero record of Al Gore approving Bush's invasion of Iraq. One, he left politics after losing the presidency. He had no formal vote to offer.
Two, his first comment on the Iraq War involved him explicitly stating that he did not believe there was enough justification to violate international law, As a matter of fact, he even went on to recommend a UN resolution to build international consensus.
So don't give me that horseshit about Gore supporting Bush's invasion when you've clearly either read that rubbish off some Info Wars-esque manure, or pulled it directly out of your ass.
+Mikhail Kalashnikov Wow. I completely make a fool out of you, and you delete my comment. Typical Liberal child who doesn't know how to form coherent thoughts.
UA-cam algorithm is so weird. This got recommended right after I watched Trump VS Biden debate.
"expect the unexpected" takes a whole new meaning this year
02:31 same sound I make when Mrs. Camacho burns the cookies.
I clicked on this video just so I can comment that Al Gore looks like Nevel's long lost father from iCarly in the thumbnail.
Hahahahahahhaha
You should find better TV to watch.
Maybe global warming was starting to affect Gore even then.
Definitely agree, kinda sad
i love those sighs...
The only reason Gore sighed because he could not believe was getting away with child like answers.
+Douglas Grooms When a Liberal argues with you, it's "puss out or be pussed out". Because Bush 43 refused to puss out of argument, Algore had no choice but to puss out himself.
Because Liberals typically don't argue for the sake of the exchange itself, to put their ideas in competition vs. the ideas of others. That's not why Liberals argue. I've seen this firsthand, particularly on Facebook and the Google+.
Agent1W How does it feel knowing the republican party is best known for putting forth outdated bible thumpers and complete retards, directly influencing the millennial SJW liberals who would rather be ANYTHING but what the party portrays itself as, and as a result won't be taken seriously again for a very long time? You and me, let's vote third party next time
thagrammarnazi Fringe is fringe. Kook is kook. Whether it's the Right or the Left, it doesn't really matter. The evangelicals and the Nugentines are useful idiots for the Republicans in Washington. I'm fully aware.
I still can't get use to seeing Cooper's face now that it is painfully obvious what is certain to have been in his mouth.
Wow mature good job
Remembering 1992 so did your mum.
Justin Bowen Since when is moral revulsion and righteous indignation immature? Thankfully not everyone is as mindlessly susceptible to leftwing propaganda as you happen to be. You swallow it, don't you (pun intended) ? Disgusting.
Visda58 Do you think that simply asking the question "what's wrong with this?" is an adequate moral compass? If so, you may deserve more pity than contempt.
Asking the question "what's wrong with this?" is definitely not an adequate moral compass, it's part of the application of one. I notice you did not answer the question but rather notified me of your emotional reaction instead. I can't blame you for taking the easy route, it's just UA-cam, after all.
This is exactly what I was thinking. Thank you. :)
now that the 2020 presidential debate is out they need to make a part 2
REAGAN:"There you go again" what, wanting to help people?
They cut him off...thought that was pretty obvious
+claronium 780
No, wanting to redistribute other people's wealth in return for votes. Libtards don't give a damn about people.
+KiloByte69 The fact that you actually used the word "libtard" says enough. I use word lightly.
Who's here after the Trump-Biden debate?
Me.
It was all so friendly back then
You are more than welcome ;)
Fun fact: Michael Dukakis is the father of John Dukakis who is the actor that played one of the teenagers that was part of the sailing group in jaws 2.
Boring
"Because you'd be in jail."
amen
What was the loudest sigh I've ever heard on national television.
"would you shut up man" that's take the cake 😂😂😂
Keep yappin man
Also " keep yappin man"
WORLD WRESTLING ENTERTAINMENT = US POLITICS
Hells yeah
Not even close. You havent seen all your southern country...they throw with chairs and go streetfight in parliament xD
Ohhh sign....
this all proves that confidence is everything
He just wanted to warm up the microphone 2:30
What was the ending???? I need closure!!
That last line fits so well with Trump
Algore's arrogance shot him in the foot, so to speak.
+msgtslotter "his kind" what the fuck is that supposed to mean?
Greetings from Northern Europe
Lock box vs Strategery
This last presidential debate, they should both lose the election lol.
This is so typical of modern politics. People vote based on superficial nonsense rather than actual political positions.
He sighed omg. he sweats omg. He looks creepy omg.
You can have great political positions, but if you cant stay calm in front of a television, you cant be president.
sexual selection hasnt failed us yet, also it wouldn't be an issue if we didn't allow women to vote
@@markrubin1259 What's the big deal here? Sighing and sweating (which is fucking involuntary) seem pretty calm to me. Oh well that's just me, let's look at the retards who do care that much!
Presidential Debates are largely the same so memorizing them is a theatrical must, just to get the hang of it.
a ery scary dawn it will be
haha Reagan's jab at Mondale was great. Also Al Gore wtf r u srs.
Watch your Language .
2012 DEBATES!
1st DEBATE - Mitt Romney beat Barack Obama!
VP DEBATE - Joe Biden beat Paul Ryan!
2nd DEBATE - Barack Obama beat Mitt Romney!
3rd DEBATE - Barack Obama beat Mitt Romney!
-------------------------
ELECTION - Obama beat Romney, 332-206
Lock box!😲
I guess you could say some are masterdebators and some are not.
Lol cnn u had to end the segment with gore sighing
A+
2:30: Al Gore was upset because for the past 30 years he was insisting that Global Warming would destroy the world in 10 years, and nobody believed him.
and he was also upset because nobody believed him Manbearpig was real either
Sighing once or twice isn't a problem, but the way Al Gore did it was like a little child being denied a scoop of ice cream.
hence why he said supposed to...
Love Bush! Cool and calm...
+rhino250r So is a vegetable.
Anyone back here after the dumpste fire of Trump and Biden?
Why, hello there
*sigh*
Headstrong!! dam it
Dukakis was way too smart to be a President.
"you'd be in jail" Was the best line in any debate!
...wait until those two debate again NEXT year. Hey do you think she'll cheat again?
is that human? how can you erase that hatred?
i guess the this election debate of 2016 is worst in years
Notice how every single one besides the last one shows the democratic candidate in control
R.I.P George Bush 🙏🏾
