  • Have you ever been prescribed warm compresses for dry eye treatment but found them tedious to do? Have difficulty setting aside time during your day to squeeze in 15 minutes with your eyes closed using traditional warm compresses? Check out this video for a review on the new TearRestore Thermal Heat Mask by optometrist Dr. Sarah Blackwelder #tearrestore #dryeyetreatment #dryeyecompress #dryeyedisease
    ✨TearRestore Mask Tips✨
    - Allow 30 - 60 seconds after the heat pack warms before placing it on the eyes.
    - Boil each pack for 5-7 minutes to ensure that the crystallized gel completely softens after each use.
    - Repeat for 10 minutes daily for best results!

Warm compresses are recommended as a dry eye treatment early on for evaporative dry eye disease. Warm compresses are used to melt hardened, solidified oils trapped in the eyelids that contribute to dry eye and can lead to infections of the eyelids. Heating the oil allows it to flow freely from the oil gland so new oil can be produced and helps with routine maintenance of the gland.
The TearRestore is a newly designed heat mask that features a warming gel pack snapped into a hard shell that can be worn with the user's eyes open. This allows users to routinely perform warm compresses while remaining productive! Another benefit of this eyes open design is tha the blinking action of the lids helps pump heated oil out of the Meibomian glands.

Wouldn't want to deal with having to boil the gel packs. That's the only thing that prevents me from purchasing this mask.
