Decisions Decisions. I think you could find a used trailer (with all the specs you want) for cheap. So many people buy these things, they use them a handful of times, and then they sit in RV storage... at which point, people are ready to give them away to end the loan and storage payments.
Congrats on your new home It’s so FnA the extra room for Everly is so wonderful Enjoy your new home kids love you Enjoy your trip I will be looking forward to seeing you and hear all about it❣️
You can also find rvs that have slide outs, which allow full access while traveling, if i simply remove my dinette table, i can move thru the trailer unhindered..
Hey guys, I was listening to an RV inspector and he recommended to buy an RV or van before 2020 best would be 2018 and before. he explained that because of the pandemic they did not have enough materials, and they were building them very fast and not well. There's no quality from 2020 till 2024. Also a camper towable could be your house at the land and take your house for travel. Just a thought. ✨💛
After 4 years of van life, your decision to move on is a testament to your adventurous spirit and adaptability! You bring such resilience and positivity to your journey, turning transitions into opportunities for growth and new experiences. And I am a floating village life from Vietnam.
Everything is Expensive! We are upgrading walls, doors and windows in our 100 year old home all by ourselves. Little by little and we are 63 and 72 years old. Hard work but worth.
i'm no expert but my advice is dont build a home on relatives property, if ever a dispute or even slight disagreement on anything they can evict you off the property and keep everything you built
Blue for the truck as it is our common name for our Australian cattle dogs "Australian Cattle Dogs, though not towering, display strength, agility, and keen problem-solving skills" which suits Franks Fix it business xxoo
Building codes protect you and your property. Regulations are there for a reason. The septic is clearly undersized for a home AND bunkie. Yeah, I got involved with Building Services many years ago as a builder, on 52 new builds, skirted codes. Fast forward 1.5 years after much investigation and hard work, all homes were brought up to Code...in Ontario. Love your channel...but do it right the first time. Cheers from Hastings County.
My husband and I have a 2021 Wolf Pup 14cc just like the last one you went through. We love ours and like the split shower and toilet. The fridge is big for such a compact little trailer.
Check out incredible tiny homes u get a great build 16ft / 20ft I’ve been watching them for years. They’re in Nashville TN. Great people. I’ve never been there but feel like I have. It may suit your growing family.
Check out something like a work and play style ... Also in looking at a camper worry about towing capacity on your truck. And maybe check for a trans cooler for towing
I have a towing package with extra cooling for towing. My truck can tow 13000 lbs. But thank you for the thought it would have sucked if I didn't look into that.
A tiny home on a trailer usually doesn’t require a permit and can have compost toilet. Just a thought if someone hasn’t mentioned already. And can be over 105 sq ft.
We went to look at a 2023 Lance 2075 last year. The only thing I didn't like about it was the price - $80K. The same unit is back on the lot 'lightly used' for $54k OBO. We're debating. We've been looking at truck and truck campers for so long but the only camper I want they don't really make an appropriate truck that's not a diesel and Troy wants to be able to fix things himself if we need him to. Plus he's a Toyota man and we can pull the trailer with a Tundra. If we weren't planning on Alaska it would be a no brainer but we are debating. So I understand your flip flipping around and pricing and plotting. Big decisions are so tough. Hope you start on your new path soon and enjoy it. ❤
There must be used travel trailers all over the place. Older trailers were probably built better as well. COV!D flooded the marker and the manufacturers started cutting corners. Something to consider before building out an empty cargo trailer. Personally, I’d go for the blank slate.
Well if your sister has enough property get you a bunkie thing one you can home check is you can have 2-3 of them one is the bathroom one is the kitchen and other is bedroom. Make a walk way like a foot off the ground to each one
Y'all sure the bunkie doesn't need a permit? In usa anything that will be living occupied requires a home permit. Even if it's under the sqft permit requirement. Also in the States a septic is 4-7k. Y'all need a second or third quote

Not a bad idea.

How about naming the truck “Blue Steel” because it’s ridiculously good looking. 😜
That's a great name. 👍 zoolander style. The truck does look like a model.

That’s the intention!
Hey guys, if you build a sticks and bricks or and home base. Seriously hope you build a basement or storm shelter.

Where we live, you can't live in a trailer or anything with wheels.

Yeah I think the blank slate is what we want. I trust Frankie to build it right
